That's close.. but in terms of skill, innovation, originality and lasting influence, Andres 3000 takes this slightly. Love Mos a lot though and is one of my favorites but objectively speaking, 3K got this.
If I see and Andre verse I'm clicking that asap and it's gonna be legendary as fuck. With that being said I cant out him over mos def andi can't remember the last time I heard a song from dude. Can't choose, it seems wrong
NYC bias is funny as hell…..the truth is you love mos cause he fits your standard. Stacks is a better MC in every facet.
Only a country bumpkin would say so lol
Facts
If I need to focus, Mos Def. If I want to hear a long story in a musical form, Andre 3000
To me , Mos Def is a better traditional rapper . But Andre does way more as an Artist both lyrically and sonically .
How much of mos music have you heard his first album was fire as well as that black star album
@@t-god2439 Aquemeni puts the debate to bed by itself. Then you add in Stankonia.... it's not even a fair fight. Every time Andre 3000 features on someone else's music he always outshines them. I like Mos Def, but not close.
@@Allison_Chaynes I think it’s closer than you think Mos first album is a classic he by himself has a classic album something andre has never done and black star is also a good album he also has some classic verses as well
I’m a young mexican that gets high asfc on my RUclips channel as my job.. i hate that there isn’t any Mexicans at the top.. i love all races but it makes me sad no one like me is at top .
Andre 3000 dont got nothing to top black on both sides lmfao we not finna feature and 16 bar niggas to death bro
Please, my mom from NY , I’m from Florida, it’s always a bias when it comes to NY and the rest of the states
Mos Def for me. He’s better lyrically and I’ll take Blackstar and BOBS over any OutKast albums.
I like mos def more then 3000 but both are amazing!
Would love to hear Mos Def n Kweli on Brooklyn's Finest.
Think they slick trying to correct the title😂 anyways as much as I love Mos Def 3 Stacks as a rapper makes you feel out of this world its like listening to a Poet from another galaxy
Andre never dropped a solo album
@@TheNyion912 and who cares bro all the classic work in OutKast plus all them amazing features at this point I Don t need an album anymore because if he does give one people are probably gonna say it was mid or whatever cuz he waited too long like they do with so much albums these days
@@TheNyion912 mos ain't got 4 classic Lp's with blackstar
@@EazyRocko he’s not too 50 stop making excuses for him being lazy
@@TheNyion912Nigga how is he lazy because he said he was not inspired to make one so u just want him to half ass it
Impact conference 2001 in Dallas was the highlight of my music career!!
Kanye didn’t need the roc! Ye is a undeniable once in a lifetime talent
Mos def hands down
Twista, twista that....how quickly they/we forget Chip-Fu
Mos def far as rap ability but andree 3000 is more well rounded versatility
I like them both and I can't pick. Respect to those brothers.
Mos def is prolly better cuz he has more solo shit to pull from but this is closer
Agreed, part 1 of the documentary I loved and enjoyed and is such an amazing examination of so many things; perseverance, self belief, the importance of community, music, culture, to name a few. But part 2 and 3 were very hard to watch. I will revisit part 1 often but will probably not watch part 2 and 3 again.
Mwhatvkarts of it make you cringe?
Andre 3000 is up there with Crooked I and Eminem. Most Definitely.
Mos Def is a better lyricist to me. Black on Both Sides is one of the best rap albums in my opinion.
So is Aquemini... 😕
All is albums are good
Talking about solo albums
Only black on both sides gets played by me
@@dawb86 don’t like aquemini like that
Love the music Mos and Andre have dropped to this day. However on a head to head...I think Most def is the better Lyricist and that means alot to me when you're a MC
Facts!
I respectfully disagree my man. I don't think Mos or any other rapper can see 3 stacks on the mic and I love Mos.
Bro it’s been years I still don’t know how this nigga behind the camera look and I’m ok wit that lmao
3 Stax is better in every way possible!!!!
Both Great Rappers but I think Andres Commercial Success put him on another level
That's a tough one, think i like Mos Def more as an all around MC.. they both from different planets though
Weird, I was just thinking about this about a week ago while listening to Umi says. Idk, I just like his cadence. His staccato.
I smashed the like button when he said crucial conflict
Remind me. I was locked up but sure I brought a twelve by them when I got out
It was a Eurostep back in Jordan days
Mos def, no 1 solo project from 3stacks
💎💎🫡🤝 respect and loyalty goes along Way salute brothers
I like mos Def. At one point a lot. But there's nothing he does that pharaoh monch doesn't do better. And Andre 3k is better at those unique flow switching singing rapping styles than both of them.
One has a classic solo album, one does not. Mos
Fair point mos first album he was spitting hot fire daylan daylan daylan
That's the thing; I've never separated 3 Stacks from Outkast, which is why he wouldn't be on my top five, even though The Kast as a group is. Good point.
Andre is better than everybody. My mount Rushmore is DMX, Andre,Ye, Nasir Jones & Ms Lauryn Hill❤
Mos def got my vote enough said
Both Mos Def and Andre are too sweet to be on Joes bitter tounge.
3000 more unique 🌊🌊🌊
“Most Def” in the title and the thumbnail? The young guys gonna get it bad
One of those tie situations.
You hate it but, sometimes it must be. . .
Andre cause his drip is immaculate
Look at teen summit
I knew of mos as an actor/artist 1st yrs old
The title is disrespectful.
Mos has been my favorite all-time rapper for a minute. That’s him to the left in my profile picture alongside Kweli. ‘Black on Both Sides’ and ‘Black Star’ are two unimpeachable classics. He’s got a strong discography beyond those but he experimented on the following two albums and some critics weren’t feeling it but they were still quality. ‘The Ecstatic’ was a damn good album too.
Not going to get into the versus debate. 3000 is a legend, as is Mos.
They did bring up an interesting point about Mos being from BK but not rapping about subjects a lot of dudes from there rap about and thus being underrated. It happens with a lot of rappers.
The new danger was classic too. That's where the "tall israeli" meme came from 🤣
@@blackmcbain3145 Not a classic for me but ‘U R the One’ and ‘Lifetime’ rank highly on my list of top Mos tracks.
The “tall Israeli” line was from ‘The Rape Over’, which was actually on the previous album ’The New Danger’.
@@Ginga I said that! You replied before I fixed my album, got em confused
When Andre 3000 love below drop it was a game charger in hip hop on what would be considered hip hop. Add Outkast as a group and his features he definitely over Mos Def. Truth be told NYC as a whole don't even listen to mos def or roots like that. They probably stayed relevant off industry connections because mos def ain't on anyone top 10. Nas, Big. Jay-z, Cam'ron, mase, The Lox, ghostface, raekwon. Redman, mobb deep etc many names came up in convo in the 90's nyc, but nobody was waiting for a mos def album.
R.I.P. Big L
3k’s better but Mos Def is super dope though
Mos def for sure
Goddammit Joe I came here for Mos/3000 talk, not a Kanye commercial! But now I want to see the doc 😂😂😂
AND dude can act his ass off too, really both can act really well for MC's. MOS was in 6 straight DEXTER EPISODES and killed it
Ice: Yeah he lied..
🤣🤣🤣 WTF lol
Now that is a real question !
And for me, I cannot choose. & for me this is #1 & #2
I'm just waiting on this veneer of Andre 3000 to disappear... Niggas really be saying he's the best ever and he can't even outright beat Mos Def... His eccentricity helped him excel in rap. I don't care I don't care, I don't care...
Yall gotta stop bruh. Definitely 3 stacks. Yall tryna compare everybody to him
Yo Joe we ready for u to come back to Bmore or Dc!!!
Mos a Poet. 3 Stax a Emcee.
I still laughing at how Scarface walked out on Kanye trying to get him on Jesus walks. Guy got to hear family business and mocked it “all that glitters ain’t gold” 🤣
Both are great in my book can’t say who’s better in my book.. same with Whodini can’t choose one
