Whent there last week and did the public tour with then watching you , you watching them , i fear Grumpy is in for some hard work . there s even models in the loo s , the canteen is good so is the food and not over priced, enjoy and have a great time , I did both , Hamburg is wonderful city both green and clean, can be hard on the old legs and feet in places
You can watch the video this evening from 7pm Nick - no doubt you'll recognise a lot!! I was just saying to Grumpy, we could go to MW a hundred times and create 100 completely different videos - so much to see.

Looking forward to seeing the Miniatur Wunderland video. Visited it back in 2010 just before the Airport section opened. A day was only just enough then. They've added soooo much since! Was Grumpys reply about track cleaning a bog standard answer?! 😂
bog standard - very good. I see what you did there. Yes, the airport section is pretty impressive - Rio is new, and of course the Monaco/Monte Carlo area - the Formula One cars are very impressive.
Looking forward to the video on Miniatur Wunderland - especially track cleaning.
I was pretty astonished when the train expert told me, which you can hear in the video. You can watch it on the channel from 7pm this evening (but available to watch now for members). Hope you like it (a lot of work went into it - but I'm pleased with the results!)
I followed the development of the Monaco F1 technique quite closely as they posted videos about it online through the years. It's so awesome that they pulled it off. And a real triumph for Gerrit as he persisted.
Grumpy does toilet humour. Totally unexpected, said no one ever.
I was in the Dordogne too, staying in Rocamador!
We were there! Very very hot.We had an ice cream at the terraced restaurant.

That question, "What's your favorite loco?" has many correct answers. Speaking in generalized terms, the one which does the job I want to do is my favorite. 😁 There is also the favorite express loco; favorite shunting loco; favorite estate tram loco; favorite industrial loco; favorite early period loco; favorite steam loco; favorite diesel freight loco; favorite diesel passenger loco; favorite heavy electric loco; favorite trolley loco; favorite narrow gauge loco; favorite broad gauge loco; ... et cetera.

Last time I was in Margate was in the 80`s with family , we always stayed in A caravan in Minster, not far from the station.
But In 1968 spent two months working (exchange apprentice) in Pizer`s pharmaceutical complex, just outside Sandwich, the locale always smelt of TCP !
Always loved Sandwich.
Staying at The Kings Head, then run by Mrs Blith and her brother., both sadly now departed.

Sandwich has perfect small Art Deco cinema nestled between half timbered houses. Surprised me greatly when I came across it when visiting years ago. Fun fact:
In Sandwich there is a street with no name called "No Name Street"

Broadstairs , Margate and Ramsgate all have a few small unknown areas of interest, or did have?
The Shell Grotto in Margate, the Crampton Museum, Broadstairs along with the Miniature Village Ramsgate (west cliff area.) Used to walk from Sandwich to both Pegwell bay at the weekend also to Deal and Walmer via the path from Sandwich, over Royal St Georges and then the shingle beach.
Then either bus or train back.
As when then Hoverllloyd ran their Hovercraft service, not from Pegwell bay, but an area not far from the Pizer industrial complex just outside Sandwich, used to walk there at lunch time.
Thing is wandered everywhere at weekends, Dover, Folkestone, Richbrough,`s roman fort, Dreamland Margate, watched the lifeboat Launch at Margate, heard the ` Moorons ` (is it spelt correctly) go up as at the time walking along the front.) but never visited Canterbury, which I now most deeply regret.
Even found some remains of the Ramsgate Cliff railway even purchased a flimsy sheet booklet as to this cliff railway in a local second handbook shop, visited Dicken`s house in Broadstairs.

Howard is using a Canon EOS C200
with Sigma F1.8 Art Lenses - which make a big difference!
