I attended the show and what a brilliant representation of the great layouts at the show. As an Exhibitor herself, Dawn was able to film and talk to people in the times when the public were not there and this really shows in all the angles. My wife was drinking coffee and shopping in Stamford Town but was she impressed withis film. Absolutely on a different level to other show reels!
Great review. I was there Sunday and spent plenty of time studying the layouts. Loved the details on many, including ‘Brief encounter’. Having seen it on your channel,it was great to see it in 3D. Even grumpy wasn’t too grumpy😅
23:10 I used to live in the Seattle area and the Burlington Northern line ran right behind my house. Several times a week, a train would run past hauling 737 fuselages from Everett to Renton. Loving both trains and planes, that was a special treat, and I would stop whatever I was doing and watch them pass.
So happy I stumbled across your channel! (Not that I was drinking) Love seeing layouts from across the pond, it helps with inspiration for my layout!!! Keep up the great shows!!
An excellent compilation of layouts well presented. It was great to talk to you and see your very cleaver layout (brief encounter), which was superb. The more we looked at it the more we saw. Regards, Derek & Corrinne.
What a great show with so many excelle nt layouts on display. Dawn another excellent video well put together and superb filming by Mr G.. Top tip for Mr G bring a flask of coffee along with you!!!
Thank you Dawn, all great layouts here, but I agree Eddy of Essex Brick is outstanding, very creative, original and he has the spirit of an artist even if he doesn't know it. I'm a new subscriber to your channel and very much enjoying your videos. All the best from France, Guy
Neuburg 1913 and 2013 are brilliant layouts and happy that you got to finally see them Dawn, think I mentioned these in the comments previously when Nictun Borrud and Nictun 2000 was shown in a past video on your channel. Great video Dawn and disappointed that Grumpy Cameraman didn't bring the Coffee! :p
I have been following Eddy for ages, (fellow 3D printer designer), I have seen many of the layouts that were there, but cant wait to see Essex bricks in person.
Excellent presentation of the show, with no background chatter, thanks. It was nice to meet you both and I was inspired by your “unique” layout, which shows what can be achieved by thinking outside the box with an artist’s eye. You need to see it yourself as the film doesn’t do it justice. Looking forward to your next layout. Marti
Another great video Dawn. Your presentation technique always leaves me feeling upbeat. I had the pleasure of seeing “Cold Front” and speaking to James when he first brought it to the exhibition circuit two years ago. A really nice chap to talk to and an inspirational layout on such a small footprint. Some terrific layouts shown and probably a first for the TT120 showcasing what we all hope to achieve at some point. Thanks again and I look forward to viewing your next post. dB.
Another excellent exhibition report film, Ms Q. Again, you have captured the joy and enthusiasm of the modellers, not to mention the detail of the layouts. I cannot compliment you enough on your descriptive narration style, which is pretty unique in the YT model railway world. Description and context is SO important. I've seen the Eastgate layout on a few occasions, and I'm sure once I noticed a couple of dockworkers having a punch-up! Good to see East Anglia themed layouts well represented, although I remember asking the lady associated with the Witham layout why she had chosen a town in Essex as the subject matter. She politely pointed out to me it wasn't THAT Witham... That Neuburg creation was amazing. Still impressed with your BE layout.
Again, a most enjoyable review of one`s attendance and visit to the Stamford exhibition, seems the weather was kind for you both too. May I suggest you take on making the coffee as well, however, GCM was somewhat subdued in his comments. Thank you again for a most pleasant and informative video, take care Mrs Jesson.
Great video Dawn, always enjoy your productions. Your interview technique is excellent, really drawing out the reasons the layout creators did what they did. Keep it up!
Totally agree, it is a game changer. I doubt if you will change the old guard's attitude to it though. I have lost count the number of times I get told 3d printing is not scratch building! Think of an idea in the morning and have it on your layout in the afternoon.
Hi Eddy, really love your layout, original and very creative, well done! I also had a quick look at your video on the sliding fiddle yard. It would be great to see more on that, it looks amazing. Best wishes from Guy (in France)
Another fine selection of super layouts - my personal favourite is the ultra-conventional GWR Tetbury Branch (beautifully modelled and presented) - but there's a lot of creativity and imagination to be seen...shame about the coffee...
We recently had our exhibition & many women expressed a new interest in model railways & recommended this channel to start them off.
That’s fantastic to hear!

Thanks so much! It was a lovely show with lots of great layouts.

Sincerest compliments from the states… you Brits are true artists with your diorama’s!🚂👍🏽

Absolutely! He has been told!
This is so interesting and evocative. Thank you for making this.
Thank you Rosalyn!
A comprehensive tour of the model railway show and thank you for including layouts with waterways included 👍
"It's great to see people happy", there ya go, that is a fulfilling result. ☺
That was a great comment, wasn't it!
Great video Dawn, I'm sorry we missed it this time, but we're booked in for 2025 :)

Yes you did - I was thinking about "the Nictuns" when I saw these two layouts. Disappointed? Not as much as I was! :-)
Years since I had a layout. 00-Nine gauge was a new one for me.
Thank you, wonderful as aways.
Very entertaining, thank you both.
great show and video. superb trains and modeling on display. good stories too :)

Thanks for the nice comments, Eddy, EssexBrick 👍👍

The show looked marvelous. It was amazing to see the different type of scenes specifically the black-and-white and monochrome. Great jobs !
It was a fantastic show!
It was great to finally see the Brief Encounter layout. The black and white effect is brilliantly done.
Thank you Dawn another great video, it was great to meet you, we have a fantastic weekend and we will see you soon

Thank you for another great presentation Dawn, and some really excellent filming from Grumpy.
Thank you!
That seemed like a great show! Thanks for visiting and showing us!
Thanks for such great coverage, Dawn. Super to have Brief Encounter at our show this year.
Superb work again, ma'am .... always enjoy a good exhibition, Dawn 😊
Great to see you both there.

Ba humbug grumpy how could u not take coffee most important thing. Excellent video nice layouts exhibition
A lot of great layouts!
Great lay-outs, fine details and good filming . Congrats Dawn 👍🙏
Thanks Robert!
I agree... 90% design and 10% printing... But the 3D printing is proably the best "invention for modelrailways" in a long time
Totally agree, it is a game changer. I doubt if you will change the old guard's attitude to it though. I have lost count the number of times I get told 3d printing is not scratch building! Think of an idea in the morning and have it on your layout in the afternoon.
Excellent video Dawn, lovely chatting with you and your other half. Eddy, EssexBrick 👍👍

Looks like there were some nice layouts there, Dawn. Great video again... Cheers James 🙂👍
Many thanks! It was a lovely show - enjoyed myself immensely!
Some cracking layouts there Dawn. I particularly liked ‘Daisy Lane’.
It was a lovely layout - good to see!
Would love to see the track plans for Eastgate Harbour. James 009 layout is awesome and what a talented modeller. Thank you for an enjoyable video
It looked a great show and “Cold Front” was brilliant
Another fine selection of super layouts - my personal favourite is the ultra-conventional GWR Tetbury Branch (beautifully modelled and presented) - but there's a lot of creativity and imagination to be seen...shame about the coffee...
Love this
Another enjoyable episode Dawn, interesting layouts and owners modelling it.
No coffee ??? - grumpy grumpy- stop being so forgetfull.....😊😁
You might want to check your history on Concorde's first flight
Yes indeed - first test flight 1969, which was cut short. But first commercial flight in 1976. London - Bahrain.
@@modelrailwayquest I didn't realize it didn't go into service until '76.
First COMMERCIAL flight.
Is Grumpy using a soft focus lens for some shots or has he got his fingers all over the lens?
Probably the fillet of fish he ate that morning.
👍
No 3 rail ?
That was a sad site to see from 2019.
How can anyone Vandalise A model train show....How sad some people's life's must be....
