    I have slowly transitioned my skincare products to K & J beauty over time! My skin has made a dramatic change. I use Hada Labo oil cleanser in my double cleanse but continue to use Cerave hydrating as my second cleanse. I also use the Hada Labo skin plumping gel which is amazing.

    I am acne prone and I use the Hada Labo oil cleanser as a first step to remove makeup or sunscreen. I love it and it never has broken me out, as long as you emulsify, completely wash away and follow up with a second cleanse I don’t think it would be an issue for most. I will say though it doesn’t remove all my mascara, I use neutrogena eye makeup remover to get rid of every spec of mascara afterwards.

    In Japanese Skincare, which includes Hadalabo, a Lotion is actually a hydrating toner ;)

      Abby, I really appreciate all your research and how this video is packed full of info that I've been needing. I don't mind about the confusion with how lotions in J-beauty are really hydrating toners, because I've always been confused about that too; I just noticed the video title and see you might want to edit it to say Asian Skin Care Haul. (Don't be annoyed, I work as an editor for a living, lol) XO Julie

    Clog prone in my jawline area & the oil cleanser is so great on my skin. And has stopped me from rubbing. I didn’t realize how just using a baby washcloth to wipe oil off was causing so much irritation. My fave first cleanser ever & I have used so many!

  • @machoke666
    @machoke666 4 года назад +3

    I don't use cleansing oil either but the best one in my opinion is the Kose softymo speedy cleansing oil. Its main ingredient is mineral oil so the risk of clogging pores is very small, in fact I found that it got rid of gunk and buildup in my pores, it emulsifies and rinses off perfectly. It doesn't sting my eyes, it has no fragrant ingredients or possibly sensitising ingredients such as citrus extracts (I'm looking at you DHL), a little goes a long way because it's so slippery (so you don't have to tug at your skin and don't have to worry about friction from your hands), plus It's as cheap as it gets. I highly recommend it!
    I've only tried two cleansing oils, the other being the one from Paula's Choice which did everything wrong imo, with that one I basically had the opposite experience compared to the one I had with the Kose cleansing oil.
    Thought I'd share in case anyone on a budget who has sensitive and oily + acne prone skin needed a cleansing oil recommendation

    I have been using the premium lotion right after cleansing on damp skin and then the premium milk after serums and my skin has been very plump and glowier than ever. Every time I stop using both - I really notice a difference and immediately go back. Also you cant beat the amount of product you get for the price! Hada Labo is one brand I keep buying. I love trying out new products but keep these as my staples.

    • @MikeClimaco
      @MikeClimaco 4 года назад +3

      Yeah I was surprised too. Using an oil cleanser as a first step is way milder and it removes even the thickest makeup than using a cotton with a micellar water, plus it's not helping the earth with those cottons. ❤

If it contains dimethicone, and especially mineral oil, if I went in with it before my water-based serum, wouldn’t it have a hard time busting through those two occlusive ingredients? Thx so Much!

    Hi, so the Hada Labo Gokujyun Hydrating Facial wash has another variant which is the foaming one. The formulation is also a little bit different with Lauric Acid not being present so if you're prone to having comedones (like me), maybe this one would work for you because other than that, there aren't any potential ingredients in here that are comedogenic. I already purchased this foaming variant online and just waiting for it to arrive at my door. Hopefully this would work on my combination to oily skin tho I plan to only used this in mornings because even though I'm especially quite oily whenever I wake up, I also would like a cleanser that is not drying or that has this tightening effect. The only thing I'm worried is that the Hydrating Water Gel (good for normal to oily and even combination as it says) of Hada Labo that is not mentioned in this video has this one specific ingredient that could potentially trigger comedones (Isostearyl Isostearate) but they're quite pass from the list of the first 7th ingredients (around 39th place the last time I checked it) so I'm giving myself a little hope that this comedogenic ingredient is diluted so that my face is a little bit safer. I regret not doing a little research on this hydrating gel 😭 I'm planning to do patch test on a small ara of my t-zone for this hydrating gel so if ever I did get some comedones on that part, I could treat it easily with a cream that I own which has salicylic acid on it. I ain't going back to the 16 year-old me who literally have a bumpy and uneven skin. Not anymore 😭😭😭
