8:00-9:05 The Edge doesn't play many solos, but when he does...!!! I don't care if he isn't the most technically skilled guitarist out there, he's still my favorite.
Agreed...the ability to put your soul into your playing makes you an artist. Being technically adept to the point of being flawless makes you a performer. All artists are performers but not all performers are artists.
well said man.. and it's not only about soul, technic or whatever.. it's about making great songs, how to arrange them, sounds, sound of the band.. that makes a band great.
I woke up at the moment when the miracle occurred / Heard a song that made some sense out of the world / Everything I ever lost, now has been returned / In the most beautiful sound I'd ever heard RIP Joey Ramone
u2's great ability to enhance a song live is demonstrated here more than almost any song I can think of. The Fly is simply one of the greatest songs ever!
Hmmm... weren’t you playing at the time? Kind of tough to see yourself in concert. Just kidding (unless your middle name is Howell). As far as their peak goes, it’s kind of tough to define what and when their peak was. As someone who’s seen them in concert for every album since The Joshua Tree, it really depends on how you want to define their peak. Do you mean youthful energy and righteous indignation, showman ship, or artistic expression and diversity? With the exception of the really high notes, Bono’s voice has been pretty consistent, Adam and Larry are just as great as when I first saw them and The Edge, a.k.a. David Howell Evans keeps getting better at his craft.
LOL. I first saw them in '81 at a small club in S.F. on their first trip west. But I don't feel old. Rock and roll keeps you young. Just saw them again last Friday in Dallas. Time's fun when you have flies.
Tidebeckons07 how cool... now 16 years. Yap gettin older... i ve been 17 years old at this Time.... Boing to School doing what we Wanstes Never thinking of what man come the next day... Now raising my Little Boy 9 Months now with my wife... I think. It's Falles life 😊
been my favorite band since I was an adolescent- and glad i picked the right ship to sail on- so appreciate how they give respect to their peers and make what was an 'add on' song no doubt- upon reflection of others interpretation- bigger than it was-that is art is it not- a creation that is what it will be dependent upon those who appreciate it....no better band or group of individuals to have come together to formulate one in the history of rock and roll- their popularity has sadly diminished their appreciation as of late- but they have always been who they are- and that- i respect....critics be damned....
One of my favourite live performances of all time. The Fly from ZooTV Australia might be a bit better overall but this is close, and I love the intro songs. (Bono's voice cracking on "You could have it all..." is mesmerizing.)
this was fabulous!...the edge is awesome! there are only two other guitar players in my hall of fame (peter townsen (the who)..and Angus (Ac/Dc..edges voice is also beautiful😍😍😍
Great quality. Sounds and pictures. You did an amazing job. Thank you to publish this high quality video. U2 deserve it. One of the best band in the last 50 years.
yeah just gonna say that this is a really good edit , you made it look like these songs came one after the other in the actual concert but the fly was actually the next song after with or without you , so well done !
It's funny to watch live shows on RUclips and see the singers say the same thing over and over before a certain song. It just shows how rehearsed their speeches were to every venue they played.
Usually, i exclusivly listen to Zoo Tv and write this tour off, but after listening to the confusion that is zoo tv this is a welcome break and shows a really mature attitude towards their music. They've grown old gracefully which is something that can't be said by many other bands.
LYRICS In a little while Surely you'll be mine In a little while... I'll be there In a little while This hurt will hurt no more I'll be home, love When the night takes a deep breath And the daylight has no air If I crawl, if I come crawling home Will you be there? In a little while I won't be blown by every breeze Friday night running to Sunday on my knees That girl, that girl she's mine Well I've known her since, Since she was A little girl with Spanish eyes When I saw her first in a pram they pushed her by Oh my, my how you've grown Well it's been, it's been... a little while ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh Slow down my beating heart A man dreams one day to fly A man takes a rocket ship into the skies He lives on a star that's dying in the night And follows in the trail, the scatter of light Turn it on, turn it on, you turn me on Slow down my beating heart Slowly, slowly love Slow down my beating heart Slowly, slowly love Slow down my beating heart Slowly, slowly love
do even better i /we tubers r behind u. DUDE LISTEN TO THAT SHIT 4.40 LISTEN TO THAT TONE. amazing. i have been blessed. i have lived just for that moment.
those concerts were religious experiences. they were standing on a great comeback album and delivered an incredible set. yes, the intro is sublime. you're sitting there singing along with the chorus word for word but are overwhelmed enough not to remember exactly which song it is, and then in seconds you're in the best achtung baby video ever. each song from joshua tree and achtung baby really sent you right back to the those original feelings you got from those albums.
this is in fact the best live recording of a rock song ever
8:00-9:05 The Edge doesn't play many solos, but when he does...!!!
I don't care if he isn't the most technically skilled guitarist out there, he's still my favorite.
+Matthew LaTorre I agree. The Edge has soul, sometimes it´s more important than the technic
Agreed...the ability to put your soul into your playing makes you an artist. Being technically adept to the point of being flawless makes you a performer. All artists are performers but not all performers are artists.

RAW POWER IN COLD OF WINTER 2022
I woke up at the moment when the miracle occurred / Heard a song that made some sense out of the world / Everything I ever lost, now has been returned / In the most beautiful sound I'd ever heard
RIP Joey Ramone
Aaahhh I'm in love with this version of The Fly.
+Katrina Bolinder I want Edge's solo played at my funeral. Wow!
Katrina Bolinder yeah....nearly close to zootv era.
Katrina Bolinder many tks
His voice was so different then, it had a sweetness to it
u2's great ability to enhance a song live is demonstrated here more than almost any song I can think of. The Fly is simply one of the greatest songs ever!
YES STILL IN 2022❤
🙏 🙏
They are very important. If God had a favourite band it would be U2.
Awesome tunes, part when the Edge sings at the end of In A Little While is simply timeless and beautiful...
'In a Little While' always makes me feel like I've just come home :) so full of warmth and comfort, you could wrap yourself up in it :)
This is just incredible ... Bono is just the ultimate front man .... Shame I never saw them at there peak

Bono melts my heart.
I can't believe this is 14 years old.. I feel so old. LOL Got Live from Boston in High school.
God Damm Time Flies !!!!!
LOL. I first saw them in '81 at a small club in S.F. on their first trip west. But I don't feel old. Rock and roll keeps you young. Just saw them again last Friday in Dallas. Time's fun when you have flies.

Boom the start of the fly is u2's musical bomb of badass exploding over Boston!
the most creative guitar player ever lived
they were born for it. bono runs, sings, jumps. he cares and that's amazing.
best live version of the fly, interesting that they changed the key to A rather than the usual E
The voice. Ireland loves Bono ❤
The Edge makes the Gibson tone rules trough his fingers !!!!!!!!!!!!
U2 at their best
first contact with u2 was in the army ,radio played the fly , this was my big bang
In a little while beat is just great, i can listen to this song few times a day, just a little while :)
Let's all take a minute to appreciate Adam Clayton during 'In A Little While'
The absolute best ever U2 forever ❤

The intro to the fly, just awesome
I know, I was there and was like "look at hmi, he's like a little joyful kid, look at him go!"..and it was freak'n awesome.
Simplemente, impresionante. Que pena no haberlo visto aún en directo. La próxima vez no se me escapan
Two favourite songs
Une voix extraordinaire, une présence sur scène saisissante. Bono ou la voix des anges...
One of my favourite live performances of all time. The Fly from ZooTV Australia might be a bit better overall but this is close, and I love the intro songs. (Bono's voice cracking on "You could have it all..." is mesmerizing.)
u2 always reminds me of something beautiful
Best performance of the Fly
this was fabulous!...the edge is awesome! there are only two other guitar players in my hall of fame (peter townsen (the who)..and Angus (Ac/Dc..edges voice is also beautiful😍😍😍

This song made me FLY!!!!
Great quality. Sounds and pictures. You did an amazing job. Thank you to publish this high quality video. U2 deserve it. One of the best band in the last 50 years.
I tell you, I was never very fond of either song, but they are GREAT concert songs. especially The Fly. WOW!!!
The Fly, very good song from the DVD !
yeah just gonna say that this is a really good edit , you made it look like these songs came one after the other in the actual concert but the fly was actually the next song after with or without you , so well done !
It's funny to watch live shows on RUclips and see the singers say the same thing over and over before a certain song. It just shows how rehearsed their speeches were to every venue they played.
If you look up the boston shows from a few days ago-the speech is in the TelePrompTer
maverickjohn923 lol true
They want to share the same thing to each audience about a particular song. Rehearsed doesn’t mean meaningless.
Monster riff and solo by Mr. Edge.
no words can express how I love this song.. How I love U2..
The best version of the FLY... Funtastic!!!
La mejor versión de The Fly!!!!!
U2👌Como los buenos vinos🍷✌️❤️

Run bono run!
Usually, i exclusivly listen to Zoo Tv and write this tour off, but after listening to the confusion that is zoo tv this is a welcome break and shows a really mature attitude towards their music. They've grown old gracefully which is something that can't be said by many other bands.
I sing that Fly intro to myself more than any other and just revel in Adam's bass work.

LYRICS
In a little while
Surely you'll be mine
In a little while... I'll be there
In a little while
This hurt will hurt no more
I'll be home, love
When the night takes a deep breath
And the daylight has no air
If I crawl, if I come crawling home
Will you be there?
In a little while
I won't be blown by every breeze
Friday night running to Sunday on my knees
That girl, that girl she's mine
Well I've known her since,
Since she was
A little girl with Spanish eyes
When I saw her first in a pram they pushed her by
Oh my, my how you've grown
Well it's been, it's been... a little while
ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
Slow down my beating heart
A man dreams one day to fly
A man takes a rocket ship into the skies
He lives on a star that's dying in the night
And follows in the trail, the scatter of light
Turn it on, turn it on, you turn me on
Slow down my beating heart
Slowly, slowly love
Slow down my beating heart
Slowly, slowly love
Slow down my beating heart
Slowly, slowly love
