Chris, I'm a 76-year-old guy who started a skincare regimen about five months ago. (As another commenter stated below, it's never too late.) I was bothered by age spots on the back of my hands so I began applying Vitamin C serum twice a day and I have noticed that the age spots are definitely fading. I don't think you mentioned that in your video--except for saying that Vitamin C tablets taken orally also are good (which I did anyway, primarily to boost my immune system for the coronavirus). I will take your advice about the need for exfoliation and retinol. Thanks for your excellent videos!
Vitamin C serum can absolutely be helpful for spots anywhere on the skin. In this video I wanted to cover the several issues that combine to create the ageing on the hands. So adding Vitamin C as a step should be fine but with using retinol at night it's best alone so you don't get extra dryness.
I’m just starting the retinol on my hands. Do you have a solution to crepey skin on the arms all around and thighs? I’d like to wear sleeveless tops again. Would be grateful for your response. Erlinda

I'm turning 41 in August. People always ask what my secret is. That's great but you nailed it in this video as the pandemic literally stripped my hands from staying moisturized no matter what and they only look youthful when I'm warm, which is almost never. The second I'm cold they look embarrassing to me. Having always been a hand washer for the obvious reasons then amplifying it all with cleaning stuff and occasional antibacterial hand stuff while working, I've been worried I won't ever have normal looking hands again. I'm too young for that! Always had skinny fingers and wrists my ring finger is a sz 3 and a half so this only makes it more noticeable. If your advice helps I'll be singing your praises 💗
Yes to the sunscreen (but mineral only). My hands look 15 years older than my face. This is because of hours as a passenger on a motorcycle with my hands resting on my legs. The backs of my hands were ALWAYS facing up to the sun. I'm going to give these suggestions a shot (except the procedures). Can't hurt!
Yes, ...Coconut Oil is good for most areas of the body.....BUT ,not your hands. I use the Retinol, two- three times a week, I exfoliate, and I also do derma rolling on my hands, but I'm 66 and have found if you do that twice a month ( derma roller) it is very beneficial. I also use really good moisturizer on my hands, I love that he recommended Origins.
Being a single mom cooking & cleaning most of the time. My hands was sooo dry. One day, I took my Amope, put the soft attachment files on it and filed my whole hands. I cover it up with good olive oil & lavender. And it works! Cheaper too 😉
Thanks Paulette! I can't afford, or even remember half of the product lists. It sounds like you're accomplishing the same thing with less $$$ and time. :- )

Great vid! I’d add that many of us really work with our hands, whether doing dishes, yardwork, house cleaning, gardening, etc., and our hands are worse for wear. We need to wear gloves as often as possible. Too, many of us really don’t drink enough water, and our hands show it even before our faces. BTW, I’ve been using Pretty Hands and Feet for over 50 years!
I believe you when you say you're 56. I am going to be 50 this year and I had a baby at 44. So my profile pic is a few years old. My child is now 5, about to be 6 in June. So, based on my aging, I believe it's true.

Amazing tips! Thank you! and you look much younger than your age woww well ,,im 65 since 21 February and retired and happy i look much younger too by eat healthy most like keto + use the good skin products!!! You do an amazing job via youtube! Thanks again!
@@CHRISGIBSONLIVE Believe it! I've seen some people in their 20's look late 30's!! And *I"m* late 30's and even then I get compliments saying I look young for my age, but it has more to do with my facial features (babyface) not necessarily my skin! Asian genes lol.
Those hands aint ever seen a dirty dish! Seriously, your skin in gorgeous. Do you see clients? I would love to be one. I lost a lot of weight during a stressful 2 years straight period. Please tell me if you have a video on this area and what you think about Ultherapy for this area and or fillers. Thank you!!!!
If your hands are very rough then try using a foot sander such as the emoji micro pedi then puts lots of hand cream on. It works very well and it’s quick 😁
I am 1 year younger than you, and people tell me that I look good for my age.I know that I don't look nearly as good as you. I recently saw a video on th benefits of saw palmetto- the one thing that men produce more of than women, and it is also suposed tohelp in the aging process, but is more for prostate health, so I have begun to take this as well because I believe that one should take care from th inside out. Of course I moisterize and exfoliate as well and I will take any tips that you offer. I watched everything that you had on youtube, and will continue to follow you because you are a guru!!!!!
Some people dont do any skincare and still have a beautiful skin. If hormones in your body is well balance shows a healthier skin. Sometime it is one food that u eat and nutrient rich that make skin glow
I am in my 60's. When I turned 30 something told me to start using aloe vera gel on my face, neck, arms, and hands everyday after I took a shower while my skin is still warm and moist after drying off. It works. No one believes me when I tell them my age.
Whoa, I do the same thing using a cheapo aloe vera soothing gel I buy on Amazon. I don’t use creams or have any special regimen because I’m a cheapskate. It never dawned on me that the aloe could have that much of an effect on my face. I just thought it was because I’m Asian-ish...I’m 50!

I got rid of risen brown/age spots with a cheap mole remover pen from amazon, also started microneedling the backs of my hands and I swear they look less boney, either that or I've gotten fat in lockdown 😂
What type of microneedle product are you using? Very interested in doing it, too. And, are you using it with any product like hyaluronic acid or anything?
I'm 56. Don't forget genetics. For instance, I do not have grey hair. Neither do any of the women on my mom's side of the family. However, I get my fat and my under-eye bags from genetics! My RUclips channel is mostly for 50+ makeup techniques, yet I have not been able to hide the deep bags under my eyes... genetics. My hands look good, though I've never done anything to make them look good (other than avoiding the sun as much as I can and moisturizing... a lot!). That said, I completely and 100% agree with moisturizers on face and hands. I have very dry skin, so moisturizers to me are key!

Omg!!! You look 35!!! I am subscribed😍😍😍
Coconut oil for the entire body and as a food.!! Aloe vera ( the pure stuff from the leaf )
Can you do a video of your daily skin routine so we can see how you apply everything? That would be amazing
Licorice tincture is amazing on brown spots 🌼🌸
Pla tell me more
Being a single mom cooking & cleaning most of the time.

From your video on hands:
Day: 14% GA, moisturizer with HA, sunscreen
Night: Retinol
Diet: high in vitamin C, B vitamins, omega 3 fatty acids
*Glad you are mentioning diet!*
Procedures: fat transfer, but only from a licensed professional.
Thank for this excellent video Chris!
Fat transfer just makes your hands look puffy- waste of time and money
Sunscreen is cancerous though. Cancer rates spiked after this was pushed. You do look great though!
That Alpha skin is amazing! You're amazing!
It is good stuff!
You look like you're my age, 37. You're aging beautifully.
That's the exact age I guessed
I believe you when you say you're 56. I am going to be 50 this year and I had a baby at 44. So my profile pic is a few years old. My child is now 5, about to be 6 in June. So, based on my aging, I believe it's true.
Thank you 😊
I thought he was 28, very young looking! I subscribed immediately lol.
Thank you ❤
I’m a bartender and I’d card him. 😉
I do get carded sometimes, especially during these months of mask wearing. 😷 not mad about it haha
@@CHRISGIBSONLIVE haha!! I am much older than I look as well and I tell you ... getting carded is something that never, ever gets old! See what I did there? 😂
Why am I just seeing this. Amazing!!!!! Am sticking to this guy as my priority from now on
Just Stumbled across your RUclips CHANNEL... I'M SO PROUD OF U... THAT'S WHAT U CALL "HEALTHY AGING & BEAUTIFUL AGING... Sending LOVE FROM 🇵🇭 PHILIPPINES... SPREAD THE LOVE....I WILL SUBSCRIBE TO YOUR CHANNEL NOW.... GOD BLESS
OMG I love this channel; it is EXACTLY what I've been looking for! It's wonderful! Thank you!
I'm glad you found the channel. 😎
Thank you! I can report that I have followed your advice here and after 2 years of trying to undo the ageing of my hands from over washing (required with my job), my hands are soooooo much better!!!! Finally! I’ve tried so many things. You are amazing.
You won me over. Subscribed!
Well thank you for watching!
Happy Birthday Dear ! 😁😁🧁🌟🎉🎁🎀🎂 Thank YOU for all you SHARE, I am sure im not the only one who is SOOO grateful! 🙏🌈💙🙏🌈💙
Happy birthday , your skin is flawless, and like that of 27-30 yrs old. Great videos, nonsense and to the point! Love it
Thank you!
@@CHRISGIBSONLIVE Honestly, you don't even have wrinkles or eye bags yet like I do at 37 😞.. Anyway, congrats 🙂.
This is the first time I've seen one of your videos, and I couldn't believe it when you said you're 56 years old! I actually thought you were in your 20's or 30's judging by your face and hands. You've made a believer out of me and I'll be looking into those products you recommended.
Thanks for watching!
Wonderful content! Didn’t think I could learn much more about skin care. Boy was I wrong. Can’t wait to try your protocol.
Let me know how it works out for you!
Amazing tips! Thank you! and you look much younger than your age woww well ,,im 65 since 21 February and retired and happy i look much younger too by eat healthy most like keto + use the good skin products!!! You do an amazing job via youtube! Thanks again!
Absolutely amazing! I thought you were in your mid twenties!
I work at it, trust me 😎
I thought 28 to 30.
You look great and thank you!!!!
Whaaaaaaat! You’re 56!!! I’m stunned! You look half that!
Well I dunno about that, but thank you!
@@CHRISGIBSONLIVE Believe it! I've seen some people in their 20's look late 30's!! And *I"m* late 30's and even then I get compliments saying I look young for my age, but it has more to do with my facial features (babyface) not necessarily my skin! Asian genes lol.
Thank you for sharing.
Happy Birthday, Chris!
Those hands aint ever seen a dirty dish! Seriously, your skin in gorgeous. Do you see clients? I would love to be one. I lost a lot of weight during a stressful 2 years straight period. I'm in my upper 50s and the skin around my mouth looks hollow, yet saggy and wrinkled. My skin is very fair. I dont smoke or drink, but I dont eat great. Please tell me if you have a video on this area and what you think about Ultherapy for this area and or fillers. Thank you!!!!
If your hands are very rough then try using a foot sander such as the emoji micro pedi then puts lots of hand cream on. It works very well and it’s quick 😁
my hand were bleeding from all the desinfection. a cream with marigold in it helped me SO MUCH.
Great, amazing video. No one talks about it. Dude, you look like 30, 35 max. Great job. 🏆🏆🏆
Happy Birthday Chris!
You look amazing!
Thank you for the very informative video.
Love, love your channel.
Well thank you!
Some people dont do any skincare and still have a beautiful skin. If hormones in your body is well balance shows a healthier skin. Sometime it is one food that u eat and nutrient rich that make skin glow
As always best videos “Hands down “,LOL 👍😂😂😂😂
Thank you!
WOW. Your hands look amazing!!
I am in my 60's. When I turned 30 something told me to start using aloe vera gel on my face, neck, arms, and hands everyday after I took a shower while my skin is still warm and moist after drying off. It works. No one believes me when I tell them my age.
Aloe is excellent for skin.
Did u use it from the plant
Whoa, I do the same thing using a cheapo aloe vera soothing gel I buy on Amazon. I don’t use creams or have any special regimen because I’m a cheapskate. It never dawned on me that the aloe could have that much of an effect on my face. I just thought it was because I’m Asian-ish...I’m 50!
Tom Lavelle, do you recommend a certain brand?
@@pattiramsey8511
No. I just use the clear. Sometimes it comes colored like blue or green. I have always used the fragrance and color free. I hope it works for you. Have a wonderful life.
Hi Chris, I’ve been binge watching your channel since accidentally stumbling upon it and Im absolutely loving it. I’ve started following your suggestions religiously (I’m 47): I’m using glycolic acid and my oily skin has improved in a day!!! I’m doing your neck exercises and it’s already sore ie the muscles are working. Btw I can hardly believe your age! You look incredible! Thank you so much for all your suggestions 🙏👏👏
Heyy... Can I ask you how much roughly was the cheap mole removal pen you mention on Amazon? Was it around $20?
Thanks for your help
@@CasuallyObservant I use the Dr pen A6 , I use HA for the slip and to hydrate , then apply it afterwards too , hope this helps 😊
@@rachelb8863 it was 20 to 25 pounds on Amazon there's a whole lot of them and they're roughly the same price 😊
@@lyelma3 - Hey, thanks!
I love you too Chris, you are honest and give so many helpful things we can do...I lose my despair when I watch you.
You look to be in your twenties, amazing,I will definitely take your advice thankyou 🙋♀️
Well thank you!
You're videos are amazing and very informative. Keep up the good work.
Well thank you!
🥰thank you for sharing 😅 so appreciative, as I’ve been just overwhelmed with the amount of products available!
