For mature skin skin care routines less is often more. Here is the mature skin routine I have been asked for. ♥ NEW? Be sure to get your FREE Skin ID and perfect routine from me! bit.ly/2NL3kOt 😍
You may like Ultra Sun face 30. It has been proven to keep a strong shield a l l d a y l o n g but also contains high end 'ectoin' which is a seaweed that survives out of water and in the sun for seasons. You put it on as the first layer - wait to dry - and apply anything else after : )
I have a 70 year old aunt who rinse her face with cold water every morning and pat dry with a soft paper towel without soap or exfoliating she looks 50 and a young 50 at that. 😳
I nearly skipped your channel. I thought what on earth does this baby know about mature skin? Your 56 and I'm blown away. I have just subbed, glad I didn't skip, thank you.
I microneedle with Anteage serum which is growth factors weekly and it has been the best thing ever fir my skin. It has completely gotten rid of sagging jowl look.
Thanks Chris. I have mature skin 68yrs old. I have been doing a few things (all) wrong. I will revamp my routine with your suggestions. Looking forward to your night routine. Not sure how I found you but so glad I did.
My favorite sunscreen is Hada Labo UV White Gel SPF 50+ PA++++. It’s a Japanese brand that is cosmetically elegant which looks good under makeup. My second favorite is Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Gel SPF 50. It too is a Japanese brand which is better during the summer months because this one is a tad bit drying than the aforementioned one. Neither of these have a sunscreen smell which is an added pleasantry.
I like the Skin Aqua Gold; it lets the perspiration evaporate from your skin surfing the hot months. It also comes in a large size bottle for a nominal price, which is surprising for anything from Japan.
Am 70 but still happy searching about how to take care of skin and want to have beautiful skin. My skin is dry and creppy. Thanks for sharing this video Chris. God bless 😊
also, when will you be doing the night time regime for aging skin.. im 47 and look way older than you.. you look AMAZING.!!! im now subscribed and going out today to buy some cream lol😂
I just tried *Burt's Bees Dry Oil Cleanser* (the day before finding this video) and I LOVE IT. I'm 51 and wear minimal makeup, but it dissolves it well and rinses clean but soft and definitely not "stripped." Sometimes I use olive oil if I need more moisturizing.
Thank you for sharing your skin care techniques! You are the only one I’ve seen who backs up his stuff by actually looking 20 years younger. I thought you were age 35.
Hope that is our house and you are enjoying it. Loving your videos. I used to have Aveda educators who were friends from college that kept me in products and how to use them. That was from the mid 80’s through 2017. Been on my own, divorced and moved away for a while now. Have not even been home for 5 years due mostly to medical issues and finances. You can imagine the stress, depression and loneliness from not being able to see family and friends for over five years. Going through radiation during Covid alone was not fun. Had to call a family member every day because they were afraid I might die alone and no one would know. So they got neighbors numbers in case they did not hear from me, they would call and have a wellness check. After an accident in 85 my face was redone and I looked 16 years old again. I was 29 at the time. My friends were jealous. Now at 66 it’s time to start taking care of myself again. I’m enjoying your videos and I cannot stop watching your sexy smiling face. Keep it up. Thanks! 😎
Hi Chris so glad I found your channel.. Just wanted to share.I have been using a product called: VaniCream they have a cleanser and moisturizer...the moisturizer has Hyaluronic Acid and Ceramides...they offer a sensitive skin formula in the cleanser...so far I've had good results...I have mature skin I'm 63
What if I told you its NOT the skin care choices that determine our skin but the love quotient you carry within and living in harmony with your souls purpose? ;) watch peopel in love- they glow:) and so does their skin usually
Happy to have found you and learn a process and ingredients that I can look for and use instead of feeling at the mercy of a salesperson telling me what I need. Thanks for this!
I'm so glad I came across this video! I've been wanting to find an effective skincare routine and stick to it; I've been especially intrigued by The Ordinary and have a few of their products, but the sheer number of serums are enough to make your eyeballs spin - let alone trying to figure out in what order to use them. Your video distills the process back down to the 5 basics and points us in the right direction of some great products to use. Many thanks!
Hi Chris I am enjoying seeing your videos every time they pop up! You’re very concise and always give a lot of great information and I usually learn something! By the way I’m 60 years old. Which I can’t believe! And I use Rodan & Fields skin care which I love but I’m always willing to learn new things😄 And have a merry Christmas!
Just came across your videos and I like your style. I’m also from the South and can’t go a day without sunscreen. For those who want a little coverage with sunscreen try Purlisse CC- amazing and gentle SPF 50.
I’m S1 and 44 in may. My favorite sunscreen is LaRoche-Posay tinted mineral one. It’s a really thin consistency and comfortable on my skin. I would say 2nd is the tinted mineral by CeraVe - hydrating one that’s spf 30 I think. It’s a little glowy but I am into glowy for whatever reason 😊
I'm heading off to pick up the Strivectin eye serum. I'm so over 20-something experts telling me I don't need an eye cream. Until they walk (or run) in my shoes, . . . .
I don’t think you can get me to give up my coarse washcloth for daily cleansing. When I wash with just my fingers, my skin looks dull and rough and it gets little blackheads. I don’t scrub with it, but more like buff it. I have found that scrubbing can break capillaries. Light pressure only. Thank you for giving affordable product recommendations.
Oh yes, same here....I've always used a washcloth, I cleanse, rinse the cloth in warm water and gently remove the cleanser, rinse the cloth a few more times and wipe over again. When I see people rinsing just with their hands, I cringe thinking that they're not removing all the gunk effectively...I swear by a good washcloth 💐🌹
Watching video for mature skin and you’re speaking of Strivectin. Then at end you say and that’s Trivectin! Which part did I miss? I thought they were two separate items. Can you just clear this up so I know which way to go? Thanks very much!!
My brother's name is Chris and my sister's last name is Gibson so you're ahead of the curve for me but add to it you're extremely well-thought-out recommendations have earned you my subscription. Thank you.
Thank you for the videos as well as your responses to questions! I love the Neutrogena Hydroboost water gel lotion sunscreen SPF50. I don't have near as bad of a problem with white streaking or white balls forming on top of my skin as with other sunscreens.
I had been using Eucerin sunscreen with hyaluronic acid in it, but it’s a chemical sunscreen. I didn’t know it was bad for you and the environment. I’m looking to switch. I’m trying out one by P.Calm right now that is a mineral sunscreen. It doesn’t go on as nice as the Eucerin one, but it’s not as bad as I thought either.
Hello Chris! My name is Candy. I JUST found your channel and I am loving you! I love the way you explain the difference in products and how to apply it and in what order. Growing up I was not taught about skin care. At all except sunscreen when we were in the swimming pool seven days a week. Living in the south it stays hot a long time. I am 45 years old I have four children and my health is pretty good but I am seeing my age in my face. So I’m going to try your a.m. and p.m. skin care routine. And I am super excited.
Hey Chris, I'm curious how old you are. I'm 52 pushing 53. The stress of this last year been so harsh on my skin. Never saw myself aging at all until 2020 and all of the stress.
Love this video and I've just started my new regime both AM and PM as a result of watching :) Wondering if I should be waiting for products to "set" in between steps? Meaning....should I put on the Inkey List booster (wait for 5 minutes) and THEN put on the Strivectin. Such an embarrassingly dumb question, but wasn't sure!!!!
You are awesome! Have loved watching all of your videos. Question: is there any reason to think that the skin of older men and women are different? My husband’s skin (7 yrs older than me) is doing great but he doesn’t EVER wear moisturizer or sunscreen!
Most men do not fall into that category. Of course, genetics can help and men shave most of their lives which super exfoliates skin. Men because of the larger hair follicles and pores do tend to produce more skin oil as well which of course fights wrinkles. That's why men usually have more furrowed lines rather than fine lines.
Came across this video. Which I somewhat agree with the things you said. Although I think you should be transparent on the procedures you’ve had. Also there is no oil glands around our eyes. 🙏🏻
No procedures, fillers, or botox. Just years of good solid and disciplined skin care. Also, as watching videos you find I speak often of the fact about the lack of oil glands around the eyes and how that contributes to wrinkles. Thanks for watching and commenting! 👍
Do you or will you have a AM & PM skincare routine for Rosacea? My 26 y/o has tried everything, she wears makeup everyday. Thank you for your helpful videos!
Thanks for the video, and the recommended products , I love Neutrogena products and use it. my only concern about the sunscreen zinc oxide is that leave my olive skin tone with white noticeable layer of white film., I do not wear makeup at all so I can't cover it . any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Sometimes with eye creams I will look at the ingredients and there is nothing different in them than my regular moisturizer. Am I missing something? That is why I don't purchase an eye cream and at 70 and extremely dry skin, I probably need it.
It's definitely call about ingredients...and a good eye cream will be heavy on peptides, brightening and tightening caffeine, along with hyaluronic acid.
How do you keep mature skin from not drying out but not breaking out. I’m having an issue with whiteheads and I don’t know how to get rid of them or what’s causing them. I am 67.
Those usually happen because of a thin layer of dead skin cells that trap oil. Using a glycolic acid product of 10% or higher daily should help speed up the sloughing off of these skin cells. I use Alpha Skin Care's 14% renewal serum. A moisturizer like the Neutrogena Hydro Boost for extra dry skin should really be helpful. It's one that I use.
I've heard that its best to put on pure HA in a moist environment... because where does it pull the moisture from? So maybe post shower in steamy bathroom?
Very new to your channel and am loving all the information. This video was very informative but I'd like to know how much time should there be between each of the steps? I did see where someone else had asked the question but I didn't see a reply. Thanks so much for these videos! I'm hooked.
Hi Chris. Thank you for this great video. Could you please tell me if I can use these antioxidant products (The Ordinary Vitamin C treatment and the Inkey List Collagen Booster on my eye area (lids and under eyes) before I then use the Strivectin Eye Cream? Or do I ONLY use the Strivectin on the lids and under eyes?
New to your channel, loving your videos! The sunscreen I have used for years, Neutrogena ultra sheer dry touch 70spf. I will definitely look for the sheer zinc mineral.
hello mr Gibson, thank you so much for the much you do to help with skin care routines. but I have a question, what do you think about the product called medix 5.5.
I’m so glad I find you! Great info. Sharing. *What guidance do you have regarding how long to wait between each skincare step? Also do you recommend eye cream if I’m going to try the No7 dark circle serum? TIA
Hi Nancy. I'm a 63 year old woman with fair skin and large eyes that are now a large area to sag and wrinkle. First, I use eye cream both day and night. In the winter, when it's very dry indoors, I sometimes apply eye cream 3x daily. I'm a fan of skin care devices because they work! My favorites are micro current device; Newa, which is a thermal device; Nira, which is a laser. The Nira has been particularly effective at lifting my eyebrows because it's tightened the sagging skin around my eyes. The old Derma Wand helps a little but I'd only consider it better than nothing. I have also found red lights therapy to be effective. It seems to improve skin tone and color. Chris is a fount of skin care knowledge. I'm so glad that I found him!
I use Ultrasun anti-pigmentation SPF50 sometimes and sometimes just IT Cosmetics CC Cream SPF50. I do hate suncream though. I think it feels heavy and is either greasy or drying on the skin. Thanks for your great videos. Do you have qualifications in dermatology Chris?
Should retinol really be used primarily at night then? I heard you mention retinol in your night routine video but not this one, or is that considered a collagen booster which you did mention?
Yes retinol is better at night since daylight breaks it down. It does help boos collagen production and can be used with peptides for extra collagen support in the skin.
I love using elta MD tinted sunscreen! I’m having an issue with combination skin. My nose gets super oily, but my cheeks and jaw get super dry. Any advice for a moisturizer?
@@CHRISGIBSONLIVE thanks for the recommendation Chris! I really appreciate your help and quick responses! I am so glad you're advice is available to me, and I'm already seeing results in my face at 62 and loving being able to do this in a big way without spending gobs of dollars. Thanks again, and I'll be looking for more videos!! Have a great day!
Question...You list The Inkey List Collagen Booster as your Peptide active..Is this one better than their other peptide products?? They seem to have a few that actually syate Peptide on the label...Thank you and stay safe...
Rewatching trying to perfect my routine. I just ordered a few serums so when you talked about the inkey collagen booster & The Ordinary vitamin C 23% product were you advising as “use one or the other” or do we use both?
I have many products in what I call "my drawer of no return"...I don't throw them away often because of what I spent...like someday they'll work better 🤣🤣🤣 I feel you on this...
I wear a CPAP full face mask at night. Do you feel that the steps in yr Mature Night routiine is light enough if wearing a mask. Or do you think the mask effects the hydration process? I have pretty dry skin. Thank you.

Any oil or emollient product would always go after a water based serum. So it's important to know the ingredients in deciding order.
Hi Chris, how old are you please? I keep hearing different ages 🌝
I'm 55yrs old -i just came across your video-finally someone that is not 22yrs old giving advice. Thank you for what you do!!!

I use Australian Gold 50 spf in the tinted version because I don't like foundation and this is enough to help even out my skin tone.
What works for you is perfectly perfect 🥰
CERAVE SUNSCREEN is by far the most moisturizing, well-researched mineral sunscreen I have ever tried. It is also tinted so there is no cast....
How are you even 50? You are a jewel. Thanks for all your information. I am binge watching..

Could you present the order, the proper way to apply products and the pacing. Please. I just can't figure this out. Thanks.
The Sheer Zinc sunscreen requires so much rubbing to spread it around that I feel like I'm pulling and stretching my skin like crazy.
Thanks for all the great info!
You bet!

Neutrogena skin screen 60 ..works well on my skin
Botox v collagen booster 😂 brilliant , love this video👏😍
It's so good! and thank you!
I use Ultrasun anti-pigmentation SPF50 sometimes and sometimes just IT Cosmetics CC Cream SPF50. I do hate suncream though. I think it feels heavy and is either greasy or drying on the skin. Thanks for your great videos. Do you have qualifications in dermatology Chris?
what time of day do you recomend using each product.. or do they all get spplied to the skin in the morning?
You are beautiful inside & out
Loving your videos, what do you recommend for dark circles under eyes?
I actually have a video for this ruclips.net/video/lPMo65Dw-y0/видео.html
Hope that's helpful!
This is really great info
Chris I’m 40 - should I not b using a toner then? I still need to watch ur toner video.
Alcohol free toners are ok of needed, especially for extra oiliness. I prefer essence sprays as they are usually so much more hydrating.
@@CHRISGIBSONLIVE ty Chris!
@@CHRISGIBSONLIVE Perfect, thank you.
Hay Chris, has there been any changes in 2 years? At 51 im wanting to clean up my non existent skin care.
I love using elta MD tinted sunscreen! I’m having an issue with combination skin. My nose gets super oily, but my cheeks and jaw get super dry. Any advice for a moisturizer?
I like Neutrogena Hydro Boost for extra dry skin, won't make oily areas more, but will super hydrate dry skin.
Can you do a video on skin care for girls 11 to 15 years old? My granddaughter is getting oily face and big pores. Help??
My holy grail sunscreen is Make P:rem UV defence me blue ray sun fluid SPF 50+ PA++++
What do you not eat a lot of? Diet plays a role also. Share in a video please.
Thank you Chris! This video really helped me a lot in so many ways! Also do you recommend any products for hand eczema issues?
Emuaid has a Eczema Cream that works very well for hands!
What do you think of a hemp seed moisturizer for the skin on the body?
Do you ever use Beauticontrol? Looking for something to compare to the Corticure Lotion.
can you do a routine with Korean skincare products? peeeze? for mature skin
Rewatching trying to perfect my routine. I just ordered a few serums so when you talked about the inkey collagen booster & The Ordinary vitamin C 23% product were you advising as “use one or the other” or do we use both?
I actually use both, unless I'm testing other products.
@@CHRISGIBSONLIVE ok great. Thx Chris.
Could you offer a less expensive alternative to fresh rose for dry skin???
Hi Chris. The dermalogica facial wash is discontinued. Can you please recommend another one?

Love your videos!! 💕
Thank you for watching!
I am using marine collagen eye gel. Is that any good for dark circles and fine lines?
I’m currently using CeraVe sunscreen & I absolutely hate it! It goes on light blue & it doesn’t mix well with my moisturizer. It’s awful!!
certainly sounds like time for a change!
@@CHRISGIBSONLIVE ya only it’s a new bottle & I hate to throw it out so I will keep using it. 🤦🏽♀️
I tried CeraVe sunscreen and it is the worse!
@@cbraswell1948 isn’t it!!😩
I have many products in what I call "my drawer of no return"...I don't throw them away often because of what I spent...like someday they'll work better 🤣🤣🤣 I feel you on this...
Thank you very much
Good stuff!
Can you use hyaluronic acid if you live in a very dry climate
I wear a CPAP full face mask at night. Do you feel that the steps in yr Mature Night routiine is light enough if wearing a mask. Or do you think the mask effects the hydration process? I have pretty dry skin. Thank you.
