a friend/dermatoligist gave me the best tip ever- he said to buy clear aloe vera gel and use that every day after brushing to teeth and gums. just apply to your toothbrush and use like toothpaste. you won't believe how white, smooth, and SHINY your teeth become!
Easiest way to whiten teeth: after brushing your teeth normally, make a paste of peroxide and baking soda in your palm (a tiny bit of peroxide the size of a dime, add baking soda from the box, and mix with your finger; should be a gritty paste). Rub this paste on your front and bottom teeth with your finger. Leave it on for a minute or so and spit it out. Then rinse. Very clean, very cheap, and very white. Takes about two weeks of daily use. Your teeth will glow white 😁

One heaping spoon, let it melt in your mouth then swish. It is a long time, but it does whiten teeth. Make sure you spit it out in the trash, outside or in a bottle to be thrown away. If you spit coconut oil into a drain or toilet it will cause a clog☹️, so spit it out in trash or outside. Coconut oil is also antimicrobial, so it can kill bacteria and other microbes in your mouth. There are some who claim it can heal cavities. I have no experience with that. I have a beautiful healthy smile and happy healthy gums. 😀

OMG what an ordeal. Took forever and the next day my mouth and teeth hurt so bad and that lasted several days before the pain stopped! And cost $500! Never again!

I just started using White Strips; I “push” the strips into the crevices between each tooth(where my darkest stains are-I’m 66 yo).. it seems like whitening those dark parts create the illusion that the rest of my tooth “ is whiter”👍👍
Hello, Chris. I, too have been stopped in odd places/circumstances and asked if my teeth are real. I never wore a brace, or used whiteners and I have been told by every dental professional that I have ever met that I have "perfect" teeth, perfect bite. Thank goodness for SOMETHING perfect! Even at age 65, I still get comments on my straight and white teeth. Nonetheless, the information that you have provided here is invaluable. You do a great service in helping all of us navigate the over-populated product landscape, be it the drugstore, internet or doctor's office. You are very generous to do these trials and pass your experience on to us. Thanks for all of your help!
Hi Chris I enjoyed your video but which one do you really use? You talked about the different ones and I'm confused about how you use all of them within a years time. Most of the videos say they should last a year.
I have sensitive teeth and the strips were a disaster! I use the same products you mentioned, the Crest Glamorous Mouthwash and toothpaste and it actually works on my crowns.
AMAZING! Tried your routine just last night and this morning and my teeth are already so much whiter! I am a coffee and red wine drinker and have tried strips for years … and the lights… but nothing worked like this (exact) routine. Thank you so much for your video. And I got the 2xs as many strips through the crest web site. Big money saver!
These are great tips... I'm a dentist and I recommend Crest 3D White products such as the toothpaste and oral rinses to my patients. These products are effective and generally kind to your teeth and gums.
Hey Chris! I received the Crest Whitening Emulsions with the light for free as a promo, I'm a dental hygienist and at my last check up they asked me what system I was using because my teeth are so white. 10/10 recommend! And I had no sensitivity.
You guys have been asking! SOOO, here it is - my ultimate teeth whitening video! Have you tried any of these? Let me know what you have used. Did it work? Let me know what you think! My dentist recommends rinsing with a capful (diluted, 1 capful of (Hydrogen Peroxide 3%) to two capfuls of water 1:2 Ratio) in a cup of water and when I don’t do that, I use it in my water pik. Same recipe 1:2 ratio in my water pik. Hydrogen peroxide is a NATURAL whitener AND you can gargle with it too and it helps to prevent sore throats.
Things I've heard and/or tried - coconut oil (be sure to spit if you use this, in the trash so it doesn't clog drain) magnesium oil (doesn't taste good lol), can brush or swish mixed with water milk of magnesia (if you decide to try this, be sure it does NOT have the bleach sodium hypochlorite, it could make your teeth look gray) ora md drops with eco-dent tartarguard (currently, my teeth do look whiter after using this) Dirty Mouth tooth powder (supposed to remineralize, reduce sensitivity) from Primal Life Organics The magnesium items can also remineralize and reduce sensitivity. At least one thing all these have in common is NO fluoride, by the way.
Oh snap!!! I bought the Power Swabs and after just the first application, I am seeing great results already!!! I have an important dinner this upcoming Sunday and was desperate to whiten my teeth significantly to get a little boost in confidence. I just can't wait to see the final results in a couple of days. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you, buddy! This means a lot to me. 🙏👍
I've done 6 days of treatment and it really works!! My teeth look much whiter. I have always been self-conscious about my teeth's whiteness, but now I feel more confident because I know they look so much better. For about $50, it's totally worth it.
I used the strips for a good 10 days. And I must say, there was a significant difference. I think a lot of people may use this kind of stuff for maybe a few days and won’t see much difference. No matter the product, unless it’s causing you sensitivity. You must give it time and patience 😄
Pumpkin Seed Oil is amazing for hair growth. My hair was brittle and lacklustre. They say you use the Pumpkin Seed oil for three months before you see any changes. I just kept taking it, didn’t pay much attention, then after several months I started to see the hair growth on my hairline and it was substantial. My hair is now softer, thicker and looks so much better. Try it and see how it’ll help you.
I just wanted to share that a few months ago at the beginning of spring I watched this video and it really worked! I used the strips but I didnt really do them everyday, I was doing them every other or every 2 days due to my lack of time. I continue to use the colgate 5% peroxide every night before bed and the whitening mouthwash and it worked great. My teeth are so great right now! No need for those expensive purple toothpastes, or others we see advertisements for that can cost $40-$100 and dont work. This was so easy and inexpensive! Thank you so much!!
Just came across this. The prices have changed of course.. When I wanted to whiten my teeth, I bought the least expensive grocery store brand of strips I could find. ($12.99 at the time) My teeth were really bad so I purposely used them overnight for the first application. Then I did the regular protocol. WOW!! it worked great! Then I used the strips as boosters. Now, I use the Crest emulsions with the applicator. Great video!!! Keep them comin'!
I’ve been so annoyed that Listerine discontinued the pre-brush whitening rinse, and am now having a huge “DUH” moment that I could have replaced it with the post rinse all along. Haha! Also, my favorite whitening toothpaste has always been Arm & Hammer Advanced White with baking soda and peroxide. A love or hate product, I know.
You are so right with the Baking Soda and Peroxide. My Dad who passed away at the age of 64 always did that daily,, he never had a filling in his mouth. The most beautiful teeth I ever have seen. Not a tooth missing either. he said he had done that since he was a kid. So again another informative video.
Glad you included the warning about checking with dentists. I think people underestimate chemicals and whitening agents more than they should. While they are effective, there are a few things to keep in mind. I'll include my recommended product below, too: 1) Some studies show hydrogen peroxide can damage protein in your teeth (in the dentin, the layer beneath your enamel). 2) If you have sensitive teeth or gums, ask your dentist if it is OK to use hydrogen peroxide, baking soda or an alternative. 3) Note what else is in your toothpaste, mouthwash, etc. If it has alcohol, keep away from it. While its ingredients may lift stains from your teeth, alcohol dries out the mouth, kills good bacteria, and isn't designed to balance your mouth which is what you ultimately want. 4) It's important to refrain from brushing right after you eat. Weird, but true. When you consume something, your enamel (like a shield on your teeth) is temporarily weakened. When this happens and you brush, you are aggravating your teeth and gumline. Think of it like using sandpaper on a sunburn. No good! When I learned this it surprised me, but there is an alternative. You can simply rinse with water or use Oral Snoberts (just Google it). I also didn't want to use whiteners or mouthwash that was riddled with harsh chemicals and a poison warning label on the back so I switched to them. So far I love it and awesome customer service. Don't think many people have heard of it but it's cool because you can use it right after eating (don't brush) and it neutralizes an acidic mouth. I bring it up because it also helps whiten teeth, so you can add it to your list of options. Hope this helps!
@@remysplace I am no expert on products so I don’t know if they are good or not, but I feel that its working for me. I am using Roushun Vitamin C serum, Hantao Retinol + Vitamin E cream (I live in China so its a Chinese product) in the mornings, and I also use Zenuno Retinol Essence at night (a bit stronger). Then I moisturize with Disaar Natural Collagen Beauty Cream. For face wash I’m using my trusted South African Rooibos face wash. Hope it helps. These products work. I will say this I paid 400 dollars for teeth bleaching at dentist for 3 sessions. If you add up those strips you’re spending more in a year than you would on the bleaching.
I love all your videos especially the skincare. Your videos are short and to the point. So many others talk too much and yours are just right! Thank you for all your incredible information!
Hey Chris. Thanks for the video. But which one of the products are good for sensitive teeth? I only use toothpaste that has sensitivity written on it and non of the products u mention says anything about sensitive teeth?
I wonder how you can tell which products work when your teeth are already so nice and white? But I am greatful to see the different options and hear what you normally use.
So at about 5:00 of the video you recommended Crest Total whitening toothpaste but held up Colgate Total? I assume what you held up is what you were recommeding?
I use raw, organic manuka honey to brush my teeth. It is supposed to be great for removing germs and whitening. Also use white strips - called 5D. Those really do work! I also swish with hydrogen peroxide - can I make a paste of this with baking soda?
Blooper alert! Chris you are talking about Crest while holding a tube of Colgate. 😂. Speaking of Colgate I brush with their Advanced Optic White formula. Once a week I use Plus White Premier 5 minute Speed Whitening gel. It is a tray application but I don’t mind, it’s only 5 minutes, does not irritate my gums and it works from the very first use. Amazing stuff.
Thanks for the info.. I have a question, how long do you have to wait between the various treatments? If I try the crest white strips and it didn’t work well enough do I have to wait a certain amount of time before I can try another product? Thanks again.!!
Well the rinse and brushing everyday of course, then pick one type of whitening treatment. Then just follow package instructions. You do not want to over do it.
I don't have sensitive teeth and money is not an object (in certain degrees). Which products and routines do you suggest from your video? Which one gave you the best results? Thanks.
You said your toothpaste was Total by Crest but you're holding up a tube of Colgate. I'm definitely going to follow some of your suggestions. Really good presentation. Thanks.
I saved this video as a resource for products to try. Other than using a not-very effective whitening toothpaste every brushing, I have been too lazy lately about whitening my teeth, there’s a lot of room for improvement! My dentist told me that the treatments he does are not especially better or longer-lasting than the best home products. I don’t really want to sit in the dental chair for so long with all that junk in my mouth, either, I’d rather do it at home, and without special lights. For a few dollars, I got a big box of those dental cotton rolls that soak up saliva while treating teeth, they help a lot and are so much better than drooling!
Which brand dental cotton roll do you use? After reading your reply, I Googled it but there seem to be so many and also different types. Thanks in advance.
I mix 2 teaspoons of coconut oil and 2 teaspoons of baking soda with a drop of peppermint essential oil. Mix it to the consistency of toothpaste. You may have to adjust the baking soda to get it right. Put it in a container, and it usually lasts me about a month. This is the only thing I brush my teeth with. If I have bentonite clay, I put a pinch of that in there, too, to help with the enamel on my teeth.

I have very sensitive teeth. Something that has helped me is having the dental hygienist paint a waxy fluoride onto my gum line after cleanings. Doing this has reduced my sensitivity enough for use whitening products.
You do know fluoride not only gives you cavities but also makes you dim, right? You’ll have to dig for the truth but it’s out there. I haul and make distilled water to drink just to avoid fluoride, as do many other people.

Flouride is a poison. You should be avoiding it rather than adding it. Sensodyne works great but I rarely use that due to the fluoride. I say 'NO' to any fluoride at the dentist. Causes cancer, makes you docile, calcifies the pineal gland & so much more.
This was super helpful, and you addressed my issues, sensitive teeth and gums. I tried the strips about 10-15 years ago and it ate away at my gums. I will try that Crest kit if I can find it up here in Canada. ;) I wanted to add that my dental hygienist told me last week that fillings won't be affected by any whitening kit so I researched alternatives and saw that Dr. Berg just posted a list of benefits to using Baking Soda. He mentioned teeth getting whiter using this mixed with a bit of water to make a paste. I just started this and will post any whitening progress. I will say, that my teeth are MUCH smoother using Baking Soda instead of toothpaste.
baking soda is great, also mixed with water to rinse after coffee, lemonade or soda which are acidic and you shouldn't brush your teeth while they're acidified. BUT baking soda is gritty and I'd be concerned about wearing off some enamel by using it daily. Have you tried oil pulling with olive oil as Dr Gundry recommends? According to him you don't have to keep it in your mouth for a half hour like others say you do.
Mix it with peroxide not water. The whitening affect is incredible. My teeth glow from brushing with baking soda and peroxide. Everyone asks me HOW DO I HAVE SUCH WHITE TEETH? I buy a box a baking soda and a bottle of peroxide from the dollar store, so for two dollars plus tax I have the whitest teeth around😊
My son got married about 4 years ago. My dentist recommended that I try to lighten my teeth a little bit "for the mother-of-the-groom pictures" (a kind way to tell me that my teeth were yellow, I guess!). Mind you, I was 59 years old and had never whitened my teeth in any way. Anyhow, she said for a month or so before leading up to using the 20-day Crest strips, that I use Sensodyne toothpaste to brush my teeth. She said this helps immensely with tooth sensitivity when it comes time to actually use the whitening strips. She was right! It worked perfectly! I had NO sensitivity when I used the strips. Since then, I have used the Colgate Optic White Pro Series toothpaste and my teeth have stayed just as white as they were right after the wedding. I wish I had thought to try this long before the age of 59.
I used to use the crest strips and they genuinely worked over time people started asking me how I got my teeth so white. But then the price for the strips shot up and I couldn’t afford to get them anymore
Thanks Chris ,your videos are so helpful and informative. Have been using a few of the skin care products you recommend and can really see a difference. I`m in the UK so can't really get the crest pre rinse or emulsion . I have hydrogen peroxide 3% , will that work with bicarbonate of soda for the diy?
Thank you for the kind words 😊 yes here's a diy to use. Take hydrogen peroxide by mixing it with baking soda to make a toothpaste. Combine 2 teaspoons of hydrogen peroxide with 1 teaspoon of baking soda and gently brush your teeth with the mixture. Limit the use of this homemade paste to a few times per week, as overuse can erode your tooth enamel.

For many years, I've also used the Crest White Strips but recently tried the Opalescence Go Prefilled Whitening Trays and they worked great! Whitened just a bit more than the Crest Strips. Also the same product I used to buy from the dentist for my EXPENSIVE custom made trays!

I don’t have pearly whites, but I have ivory, consistently clean, beautiful teeth. They are lovely and I am very grateful.
Thank you for watching ❤ and for sharing your experience with this!
What routine specifically did you use and has it still worked for you in the long run?
These are great tips... I'm a dentist and I recommend Crest 3D White products such as the toothpaste and oral rinses to my patients. These products are effective and generally kind to your teeth and gums.
Yet... do you use it? No?

Hey Chris! I received the Crest Whitening Emulsions with the light for free as a promo, I'm a dental hygienist and at my last check up they asked me what system I was using because my teeth are so white. 10/10 recommend! And I had no sensitivity.

I use the strips my teeth hurt just it touching them! It was so painful!
I noticed about everyone on here says crest strips and paste and not Colgate that you say use.
Things I've heard and/or tried -
coconut oil (be sure to spit if you use this, in the trash so it doesn't clog drain)
magnesium oil (doesn't taste good lol), can brush or swish mixed with water
milk of magnesia (if you decide to try this, be sure it does NOT have the bleach sodium hypochlorite, it could make your teeth look gray)
ora md drops with eco-dent tartarguard (currently, my teeth do look whiter after using this)
Dirty Mouth tooth powder (supposed to remineralize, reduce sensitivity) from Primal Life Organics
The magnesium items can also remineralize and reduce sensitivity.
At least one thing all these have in common is NO fluoride, by the way.
I can attest to Colgate total whitening. Used it for years and my teeth are super white. My tip is to apply to the toothbrush dry
Are they actually called ,
"Power Swabs", & where can someone purchase them, I I may ask????
I used the strips for a good 10 days. And I must say, there was a significant difference. I think a lot of people may use this kind of stuff for maybe a few days and won’t see much difference.
No matter the product, unless it’s causing you sensitivity. You must give it time and patience 😄
Yes indeed. Thank you for sharing this
Pumpkin Seed Oil is amazing for hair growth.

@@louisemcneil9194 I don't know why you posted this on a video about teeth whitening, but yes it works. Castor oils works aswell.
Thank you for sharing!
I’ve been so annoyed that Listerine discontinued the pre-brush whitening rinse, and am now having a huge “DUH” moment that I could have replaced it with the post rinse all along. Haha! So sorry for your lost 64 is way to young 😢
Glad you included the warning about checking with dentists. I think people underestimate chemicals and whitening agents more than they should. While they are effective, there are a few things to keep in mind. I'll include my recommended product below, too:
1) Some studies show hydrogen peroxide can damage protein in your teeth (in the dentin, the layer beneath your enamel).
Hope this helps!
this is right on!!!! ^^^^^^^

Thank you for your videos... curious though hie do you get your snake plant to grow so well.
I brush with organic unrefined coconut oil. I use charcoal powder from time to time. And, baking soda. I gargle with 3% peroxide.
Thanks for sharing!!
I've been using the Crest Whitening Emulsions and love it's convenience and Star Power. Works well without the sensitivity. 😁
I know you posted this a year ago but do you still feel the same way about Emulsions?
I mix 2 teaspoons of coconut oil and 2 teaspoons of baking soda with a drop of peppermint essential oil. Mix it to the consistency of toothpaste. You may have to adjust the baking soda to get it right. Put it in a container, and it usually lasts me about a month. This is the only thing I brush my teeth with. If I have bentonite clay, I put a pinch of that in there, too, to help with the enamel on my teeth.
I use bat guano and ectoplasm followed by a rinse of the period blood of a virgin.
I want to know where you got that lamp set in the background! Who are they made by? They are so beautiful!

When do you use the Crest Whitestrips, and why do they recommend NOT using right after teeth brushing?
I have very sensitive teeth. Something that has helped me is having the dental hygienist paint a waxy fluoride onto my gum line after cleanings. Doing this has reduced my sensitivity enough for use whitening products.

That will be the end of your pineal gland. Fluoride is a waste product of asbestos.
Flouride is a poison. You should be avoiding it rather than adding it. Sensodyne works great but I rarely use that due to the fluoride. I say 'NO' to any fluoride at the dentist. Causes cancer, makes you docile, calcifies the pineal gland & so much more.
I don't have sensitive teeth but I've heard whitening them can make them sensitive. Do these techniques, in your experience, cause that?
Using baking soda and what? Please share.
hows the update
Mix it with peroxide not water. The whitening affect is incredible. My teeth glow from brushing with baking soda and peroxide. Everyone asks me HOW DO I HAVE SUCH WHITE TEETH? I buy a box a baking soda and a bottle of peroxide from the dollar store, so for two dollars plus tax I have the whitest teeth around😊
So how did it go?
😢😢
Do you think the generic professional effects white strips on Amazon work the same? It looks exactly like the crest ones but no brand.
