- FIRST DRIVE: The Raptor R continues with some updates for 2024 from Ford. This truck competes directly with the RAM 1500 TRX. On the outside you will discover a unique color call Shelter Green, new grill, front fascia, wheels, lighting and graphics. On the inside you will be greeted by a Raptor specific steering wheel and performance seats. Under the hood is a 5.2L supercharged V8 pumping out 720HP! Man there is this guy here in Daytona beach with the 2023 version, that thing is gorgeous and sounds amazing. Definitely one of my favorites trucks!

I have the “standard” Raptor & it’s more than enough power. At the same time; completely get the desire or want versus need quotient & this thing looks like an absolute blast.

As a Gen 2 Raptor owner, glad I bought mine when I did as I couldn’t afford to buy the current Gen with its high price. Gen 3 is very nice, though I’m still biased and really like the aggressive look of the Gen 2 front end.

I know everyone's excited about the RAM RHO and stuff but Ram has a big competition to beat if they want to take Raptor's market share. I test drove a Ram TRX and a Raptor 37, and I immediately chose the Raptor. The Ram TRX just felt so heavy and clunky to drive. Sure, it's cool to have 700 hp and stuff but man, that thing drives like a truck truck, whereas the Raptor drives like a sports car. So light on its feet yet gives you so much confidence.
The active exhaust is a big big plus. I can't imagine buying the TRX and wake up my entire apartment complex at 6am everyday when I start the truck to go to the gym....That thing is just obnoxiously loud all the time. With the Raptor, put it in quiet mode and it became a Mercedes S class on long road trips. Also, I get 18-20 mpg on highway on my regular Raptor on 37s' . Don't know how Ford did it. It's just crazy to me the engineering that went into the Raptor. I'm pretty much convinced I will never own anything but a Raptor in my lifetime...
Sunroof is optional.
I'm not an off road enthusiast but the Raptor R makes my knees feel weak every time I see it. I'd pay for it.

Ive never paid over MSRP for any vehicle but this one may tempt me. Being in So. Cal I would most certainly have to buy out of state though.

Still no cooled seats in the back and pro-power on-board, but hey the heated steering wheel is back! Why not install the new tailgate and the winch or at least have it as an option? One can hope!

I checked one out at my local dealership. It's too much for me. Why do i need heated and cooled seats? It has too much. I prefer more basic cars. Give me a base f250 single cab. That's just me though.

Nice truck but I am a value kinda guy , so I will buy a $50k 2022 Ram Sport with a few thousand miles ,spend $20k customizing it myself and then have $40k leftover to buy a Rolex and a few Twinkie’s.

The Raptor R is nice but the twin turbo V6 Raptor is nice as well. The twin turbo V6 would be my choice.

Why are these vehicles so much today. These prices are ridiculous which mean only the well off people can buy them not the have knocks which mean this truck and other will just be sitting on the car lots. A hundred thousand that kind of money can put your child throw college of good down payment for a home. Nice truck but I would rather have that money sitting in my bank account.
