You can download different drive/od/fuzz settings and have two settings loaded at same time and switch using the drive button. Bergantino is constantly coming up with new versions of these features/sounds. You can choose from light very musical versions of it to more extreme. This was something that started coming out a few months after the release. You use the usb port on front to load other settings. Combined with their holographic cab series: HG3x10, HG4x10 (what I have - 47 lbs for a 4x10 700 watt cab...) and HG 4x12 (1000 watt cab) it sounds phenomenal, especially in places were you want to hear the bass amp itself when playing (not using in ears). You can stand beside it or lean over it and still hear yourself and the drummer next to you can too. Also great as amplification of an acoustic bass/cello etc.
How can you switch with the drive switch ? Push it 3 seconds or something ?

Sounds great. Class D is the future because of weight/cost/profit margin. I do kinda miss the sled sleds and big cabs though. Most of these new lightweight rigs just don't have the low end that we used to push back in the 90's or early 2000's. Everyone is focused on midrange now.
Just cut the mids and boost the bass. I have this amp and a HG410. I've never heard myself this good on stage. And when the rumble from the PA subs starts to choke my stage sound, I just dial up the hipass filter on the amp, and I can hear myself just fine.

@@CordScott this amp is designet to be flat and neutral. Try a Genz-Benz Streamliner, and it will be something completly different.
@@basstor1 Has nothing to do with damping factor. The Mesa WD-800 solves the issue with adjustable power amp damping control. Same designer as the GB.

I didn't really understand your explanation of the high and low pass filters. A normal high pass filter would cut all the low frequencies below a certain range. Is that not what this one does?
I'm guessing each one is a parametric EQ for the bass and treble knob
@@Virtual_Gains yes, that's what it sounds like. A lot of amps have a midrange frequency selector, but I've never really encountered one for highs and lows.
To best explain the two filters the VHPF is the same thing as a low cut filter and will start rolling off low end below the selected frequency. Similarly, the VLPF is the same thing as a high cut filter and will roll of frequencies above the selected frequency. These are much different than shelving filters as the don’t level out at the extremes but instead continue to attenuate at the rolloff rate of the filters. In this case 12db/octave. Hope this helps.

It is in the title. A High Pass Filter let the High pass and cut below a certain frequencie the low and a low pass filter let the Low Pass and after a certain frequencie the highs

@@b-earn4739 you can get an ok light overdrive out of the a/o 900, but you sure can't get that aggressive clanky parallel processed metal tone out of the bergantino.
Theres not blend knob on this for the drive which is what i love the darkglass products for. How ever i see this amp being more versitile over all as the ao900s distortion can be done with the AOU or alpha omicron.
@@Jihadbearzwithgunz I was thinking the same. Just get the better amp and the pedal from DG, which is essentially their amp with a transformer.

There is always no clean track on this channel , any demo is pointless, I can be YT if I am rich like this due !
It is extremely transparent without the drive engaged. Lots of eq tonal changes and the high and low pass allow to cut of frequencies for the room or more tone shaping. Very similar to a Trickfish amp, but with the ability to add different drive types (downloadable) and more power. I often use one of the none extreme drive types and turn the drive to 0 up to 3 for a warm tube NONE overdriven sound. If you want transparent just turn off the drive. The 1200 w class d power makes it sound great through little larger speakers and Bergantino's speakers are phenomenal. I have the HG 4x10 which is 47 lbs only and 800W. Plenty of power. Handles any type of bass you want, even acoustic classical. The newer HG 4x10X out now sounds slightly better even.
