Hey SB-Fam! I’d be curious to know which foods you’ve found problematic along your journeys.❤️🥰 Come join my 24/7 Carnivore Support Group! sbg-s-meat-up.mn.co/
Bella I'm so glad you speak of rendered fat. That's something I cannot do. Ugh. I really don't like the taste or smell. I drain my ground beef and then eat it with butter. I especially like cold butter and hot meat, taking bites of each.
My husband and I have been on keto for 8 months. We eat a little fruit, strawberries or blueberries, or blackberries. Lots of meat. We fast 16 - 20 hours a day. He lost 40 lbs and I lost 20. This is our lifestyle now. We only drink water or mineral water. We have so much more energy. I am stronger than ever. We are both retired.
Yes!! Bella you are spot on about hot, cooked fats!! I really enjoy my little chunks of Frozen Butter now, I could not stomach hot or even room temperature butter, I also prefer having already cooked rib eye steak or hamburger patties chilled, I now feel amazing, having reversed Type 2 Diabetes, I absolutely love binge watching all of your videos for MOTIVATION😍 Thanks Bella
@@carbonsubieWell, it would most certainly make the nerve signals and feedback different in that chilled form. In terms of nutrition, no difference, but I would wager it doesn't drive a nausea response that strongly in the OP's case.
I just started my carnivore journey two weeks ago and as a sugar addict I went off sugar, carbs and processed foods cold turkey. I just decided to do it and did it. I had watched a few people first and got some tips and the jest of the diet and jumped in. I had assorted meats in my freezer like moose and venison and the traditional meats that most have so I felt ready. I didn’t have skin conditions or issues but I sure do see an improvement in my skin regardless, even after the first week. The most amazing part was the fact that I was a brittle asthmatic since I was a kid and I am breathing so much better right now than I have in years. I lost 13 lbs in the first week but I’m not loosing right now any longer. I’ve been watching and listening to people like yourself and I get the impression I’m not eating enough fat. I was a vegetarian for 22 years of my 58 years and much of my weight gain packed on at that stage of my life. I was going on the concept that we wait till we are hungry and eat till we are full but I find I eat once a day and maybe 6 to 8 ounces of meat at most. I don’t know if I actually get enough calories but surprisingly I in 2 weeks time I only craved sugar three times. For me this is amazing because I have been a mega sugar addict for as long as I can remember. Thanks for the butter tip as I just toughed out the craving’s when I had them so far. I just don’t know if I can eat it straight up. There’s a first time for everything right?
I am 54, 5'10", 173ish. Am going to start carnivore this weekend. excited about it. I have diverticulosis, also chronic hives, allergies, sinus issues, on high BP meds, high cholesterol meds. I love red meat, always been a big steak guy. love elk, venison and other game meats, fish as well. so I am going to take this challenge on . love eggs too. and going to go get some milk from evermans as well this weekend.
Having a great time on carnivore. Started on April 1st, (joke was going to be on me) and have dropped from 238 lbs down to 197 today. BP between 104/74 and 117/78 depending on time of day. Blood sugar between 84-93 except right after meals. I walk a few times a week and do deep squats 1 set of 25 3 times a week and 1 set of 20 crunches on my teeter hangup 3 times a week. I am 70 years old and have not felt this good since my early 50’s. I must confess, I am not strict. I will add scallions to beef dishes and eat cheese, eggs, butter, heavy cream and have a lite beer once in a while, (it’s football season!). I am nearly always under 25 carbs in a day. I have liver when available 3 times a week. No more blood pressure or Cholesterol drugs. You have been a great inspiration and I am sharing your site along with Dr.s Baker, and Berry. Thanks Bella, for sharing with us all.
On my 6th day and I’m going to admit, overcoming the sugar cravings is tough but I’ve lost 6 lbs. So I’m gonna stick the course. No energy loss. Sleeping great. Still feel hungry quite a bit
My experience with salt is exactly the opposite, if I don’t get enough my energy crashes and I feel awful. If I’m feeling that way, a quarter tsp of salt picks me right back up.
I do well if I only eat beef steak, pure butter, Celtic sea salt and water. If I eat eggs, I throw up. Greek yogurt gives me a pound or two back the next day. Cheese sharp cheddar, makes me burp non stop. So far it's been 7 days and ,7 pounds gone. The diarrhea is becoming solid and my nightmares have stopped.
We need water in the south to stay hydrated, especially for us that work outside or in high heat environments. Typical rule is to consume enough water so that your urine is as close to clear as possible.
I found that heavy cream doesn't work for me, so I stopped using it in my morning coffee (decaf) and started using butter. I use a blender to emulsify it and get a nice foam. Delish! I also use butter as a snack if I feel hungry.
My tia has been telling me and having me try the carnivore diet as I stay with her for a few weeks. I've been enjoying it and hopeful that it will be good for me personally. LUCKILY I live in San Francisco CA so its gonna be super easy for me to find a lot of raw stuff. I never realized before how hard it is to find in the rest of the country
Been Keto for about 4 months...trying to transition to carnivore doing BBB&E. I am struggling. Only made three days of BB&E before I got sick of the food, and I really don't enjoy eating at the moment...perhaps time to fast. As you can relate, I am a recovering vegetarian. Am doing this to improve my health and loose a little weight in the process. Slowly learning to cook meat. Found your videos through Dr. Ken Berry.
I'm vegetarian also but starting keto tomorrow and transition slowly to carnivore. I want to lose about 20 lbs without feeling starved all the time. Been trying to learn as much as possible the past couple weeks. I also found this channel through Dr. Berry.
The raw milk I have been getting for the last decade from my local jersey cow farmer is from a certified raw milk dairy. He is required by law to do all kinds of testing of his milk. However for at least a decade before that I was getting raw milk from several local farms that sold it only as "pet food". You could call me a "high stakes gambler" but I visit each of these farms and go through their entire milking and bottling and cleaning-up process before choosing to purchase their milk. I have never gotten sick in any way. Actually I find that my consumption of raw milk (which I usually culture) has contributed greatly to my quite reliable immune system. I can't remember when I was last sick in any form! Along with looking for squeaky clean practices, here are the other things I look for when I purchase raw milk: 1) The cows have plenty of pasture to graze on and there are no chemical herbicides or fertilizers put on this pasture (no glyphosates) 2) When the cows need to be fed hay in the winter, it is organic (no glyphosates) 3) The breed of cow has a good cream content 4) Preferably the breed is in the A-2 category, meaning it is one of the older breeds like Jersey/Guernsey. 5) The milk is only bottled into glass containers - not plastic! This is not always easy to find but VERY important to me. Fat acts like a solvent on plastic and I do not want the BPB's in my body. 6) Either the cows are not fed grain at all or only a small amount of organic grain (no glyphosates) when milking. I am a long-term, very picky raw milk consumer and it is a mainstay in my diet. I hope I never have to live without it.
Carnivore newbie here, today is day 4 of totally clean carnivore. Cutting the Alchohol was the hardest part. Anyway, I have an osteoarthritic ankle from surgery 40 years ago. It usually looks like there is a softball tucked in there under the skin. In the mornings, the last 4 days it has shrunken amazingly. After a few hours of walking around it comes back mostly. Also, I am a professional singer. I have suffered a chronic post nasal drip for as long as I can remember. Singing in the morning has always been difficult. This has also improved noticeably. Looking forward to continued improvements. Occalate dumping is very enticing. Thank you very much for your channel, I am watching as many as possible
First time I snacked on straight butter I shuttered and winced The very next day I took a spoonful and it was delicious. It was like eating yogurt or somthing. I think I was eating too lean so thats why I ate some butter the day before and I have a feeling my body knew when I got it down it was just what I needed so the next day I had a taste for it
I believe that kefir and yogurt made from pasteurized milk are made after the milk has been pasteurized, not before. The cultures, to some extent, bring it back to life.
Hmmm...maybe it's my high salt intake that makes me tired!!! Other video promoted salt for it minerals. It's probably why my eyes r dry and I'm constipated as well as I'm peeing so much! I appreciate the info, but no suppliments for me.
I lost 12 lbs in the first 3 months. For the last 3 months I’ve lost nothing. I eliminated milk, cream and cheese a few weeks ago. I’d still like to lose 20 lbs.
@28:46 LMNT raw makes me very nauseous. I bought 4 boxes and drank 1 box over 10 days. I was nauseous every time I ingested it. I have CKD and need supplementation of electrolytes so I have been using LMNT because it is so clean but I had to switch back to the flavors. I honestly gave raw a try
I’m on day 4. No idea what I’m doing. 6’ 260 lbs. these videos are so helpful. I’ve had a pack of cookies next to me for these 4 days. Today they went in the trash. Is that a win? I think so.
@@noahadim I just weighed myself. Week 5 . 260 start and now 238. I’m satisfied. And good work there on your end. Being a truck driver it’s hard to exercise. But my energy is coming back. Thanks for checking in.
*****Knowing how amazing meat is for the body… Don’t you find it just a little bit disturbing that the elites of the world are attempting to reduce your access to meat?******
Oh my goodness! I have been wondering and researching this exact thing lately! It is very disturbing but yet so typical of elitism! They hate truth and of course, loosing money. I’m not sure I can afford my own cows though because I’d have to move and get a bigger property. Next question for me is, what to do about becoming self-sufficient as a carnivore? Very frustrating to be under control of those who are only out to harm us. Good comment and observation, ‘stanmilgram’! 👍🏼
Oh my, oh my, oh my !!! That is fantastic!!! I know you got to be on a real high ! Lol. Fantastic news !! Very happy for you. I add apple cider vinegar in water to sip on all day, and it helps the belly fat on me. I sometimes crave extra so I grab a tablespoon of peanut butter it helps...Eating a little salt helps too. Just sharing my tips. Please keep us updated on your progress. Your Such an incitive. Thank you.
Thank you guys so much, I’m at 487 atm. It’s insane how much easier it is for me to move around. Still a crazy amount of work to do to get to the 200s. And then after that it’ll be the next phase of doing something with all my extra flabby skin that is no longer filled with fat. I’ve definitely felt like fainting on multiple occasions. Going for a steam and hot tub session today with hopefully a little bit of movement in the cold pool if possible. I still need assistance getting around but not nearly as much as when I started. The only thing I can say atm is do it the natural way and opt out of getting liposuction etc. you can really do it. I was 834…….let that sink in
Day 1 for me!! Just completed my first full day as a carnivore. I’m 33 years old and bed-bound from lupus, EDS, and a myriad of chronic soft tissue injuries. I have sleep apnea and narcolepsy. I’m overweight for the first time in my life. Severely addicted to sugar. I’m really hoping I can do this for the long term, and that it gives me my life back. If you’re reading this and are a person who prays, I’d appreciate it if you could include me in your prayers. 🙏🙏🙏 Lmk and I’ll do the same for you! 💕💕💕
I got your back, and in my prayers. You can do this because your strong and have the mind set now to begin your new journey and kick that bed good bye. Watch when all the pains go away brother. Mind me asking is it the joint pains that keep you bed bound ?
I was raised vegan, I'm 26 now and I do not feel healthy. I'm about to start carnivore for the first time, it's very nerve racking because I have no idea how to cook, prepare, pick out, or even how to properly eat meat. Thank you for this video, i found it extremely helpful especially the beginner tips of just starting slow and introducing things one at a time. Also loveddd the piano at the end! That was beautiful to watch.
Try a can of sardines. Already cooked, so you can just eat them out of the can. Same with herring and tuna. Look up the egg pudding that Bella makes. Get a ribeye steak, put on tablespoon of tallow or other animal fat in a pan, heat it up on medium high heat and drop the steak in. Sear both sides, but you don't need to cook out the pink inside unless you want to. If you like the crispy outside, cut it into strips one inch wide and sear the extra sides. Enjoy!!!
You can buy rotisserie chicken, and already cooked meats at the grocery store to help get you started. I can cook but I still buy rotisserie chickens. Also canned, tuna, salmon, chicken, sardines, and there's Spam which all you have to do is just brown in the pan...until you learn how to cook. (not to mention McDonalds hamburger patties, and egg sandwiches, sans bun)
Start with 500g/1 pound of ground 20% ish beef, then brown on medium heat - once brown add what you are comfortable with for example onions garlic and herbs and spices - adding water to make saucy - Simmer and serve with rice or pasta!
I was experiencing cravings when I clicked on your video. I ran downstairs and ate a spoon of butter and you’re right… cravings disappeared immediately!! Thank you!
Man, I've been on a carnivore diet for a little over a week now and omg I've felt totally strong. My body doesn't feel like I was in a car crash in the morning or during the day and I'm not tired all of the time like I used to be. My muscles feel strong and tight, and my legs don't feel weak anymore. It's seriously crazy to think people are pushing this vegan and vegetable diet especially if they feel like I've been feeling for the past 4 years and I'm 35. I feel like the old me is coming back.
I think too it can be 'horses for courses' where food is concerned. I do know very healthy and active longtime long living vegans, vegetarians and mixed diet people. All of them however were never obese, and had no particular health issues. It may be that people prone to certain health conditions do definitely benefit from one diet or another and elimination of certain foods, while others constitutions are fine on all healthy foods.
I started a week ago. No weight loss yet. Was having a Diet Coke once a day which I am stopping now. Noticed first day after starting carnivore I felt much better. No bloating and extra energy. Can’t wait to see what week two brings.
@Sarahlady I didn't do it for the weight loss, but it's a perk, honestly. Now, when I have a cheat day, I can tell what I've been putting my stomach through all of these years. It's like the foods I used to eat tares my stomach to shreds.
@@zaziedabeast9692 I'm inclined to agree with you on that because we're the only species that doesn't only take what we need for survival and the only species that pollutes our means of survival. This makes us by far the stupidest species on earth given that we are the only species with the mental capacity to understand this and we choose nit to use that intelligence to live sensibly and in a way that does not put all life on earth at risk of extinction including our own. So yes I'm inclined to agree with you and not insult all other life species on earth by saying we are like them. Before we came along other species had clean soil, air and water, and freedom to move according to their time of year food and shelter needs. The human race was a tragedy that befell the stunning planet of Earth.
Can we stop using headlines like “dangerous carnivore foods”. It’s so frustrating for someone who is struggling to get rid of the western medicine ideals and feel strong on carnivore without having tons of fear.
My first day on Carnivore! I ate well without feeling hungry 3 hours later. Had lots of energy and I’m hoping it lasts! I’ve been on keto since March 2023 and I lost 30 lbs. but then stopped. Wish me luck!! 😊
At 7 weeks. Triglycerides have from off the charts 12,000+ to less than 300. I’m so excited and motivated to continue carnivore. Those very high triglycerides were fasting numbers. This means that I probably won’t have another bout of pancreatitis due to high triglycerides. Thank god for people like you sharing about this topic.
Fasting usually takes away inflammation and the guy won a nobel prize for autophagy. So it’s supposed to literally clean up your body and age you backwards. It’s only bad if you go into keto-acidosis because carbs and insulin resistance. If I eat two steaks it’s the same as eating a piece of bread on my ketone/blood sugar meters.

I have lost 119.8 lbs so far on Carnivore! Will be nine months in on December 16th 2023. Basically 120 lbs gone, my feet aren’t sore after work like they used to be. I have ran/walked/jogged over 3 miles multiple times on the treadmill at the gym now and have beat my record at my mile time from high school.
Eggs and cheese are perfectly fine for most people. Most people don't have issues. I eat a lot of ground beef with some seasoning and lots of melted cheese mixed in, almost every day and don't get tired of it. One meal per day, fast for 24 hours, work manual labor, and never get cravings.
I’ve been carnivore for just over two weeks. I have more energy, clarity of mind, and lost 8lbs. It also didn’t interfere with my menstrual cycle, which was what I was most worried about. I haven’t had a lot of cravings either, which makes the easiest diet for me. I also work at a Mexican restaurant, so to not want all that food is pretty amazing for me 😃

I had fallen back into some binging, etc., I'm no youngster, so the thought of what health problems await me was scary enough. @@hanginlaundry360 That is amazing! Not really what my struggle is though, I am not over weight at all, but I do have some vein issues and abdominal issues from my pregnancy and I have to wear compression stocking and a belly band to be able to live daily life. They make me SO HOT though and it's not even the heat of summer yet! I've also been struggling with fatigue, brain fog etc. So I want to heal up and get healthy. I just started the carnivore diet and did it for two days pretty well, but on the 3rd day/yesterday I woke up feeling like I was dying and was so repulsed my meat and eggs, I was having severe carb/sugar cravings and I ended up having some oatmeal and then a couple other things and then I just threw in the towel that day lol now today I'm back on the eggs and meat and butter, but I'm afraid I'm gonna be going through some hel in a day or two when my body runs out of carbs again. I don't see many people talking about the transition and how difficult it is, how long it last and what to do about it. It's hard feeling like death when I have kids to take care of and life to live
@@daughterofthemosthigh8064Bart Kay's video on how to get started on carnivore has a lot of the answers. I can't remember the exact name, but you should be able to find it.
My husband and I are slowly transitioning to full carnivore. Our goal is to try carnivore for atleast 3 months starting January with some friends. So far just getting rid of fiber rich foods and veggies and most fruit we have seen an amazing difference in our stomachs! No more bloating! That was a big thing for us that we just normalized! Bloating all the time is not normal! Can’t wait to see our results!
Loveeee butter. I just finished a 120 hr fast . I went from 335.8 lbs to 320.6lbs 15 freaking pounds. I would have 2 cups of black coffee with at least 1 Tbs of butter in the morning. I was going to do a pure water fast but why suffer when black coffee and butter got the job done.
@@rose.h3220 I'm not even done until tomorrow. I gave my son 1k cash and told him I'm fasting Sunday thru Thursday and Fri Saturday carnivore. I told him I am doing 20 weeks and if I cheat once he can keep it all. I'm definitely sticking to it because I want the money back😂🤣😂. The coffee and butter is incredible. I got into ketosis within 24 hrs and that was after eating 7 slices of pizza. The first day was the hardest and not because I was hungry but because I believe I was switching from burning carbs to burning fat. I just had a headache towards the end of the day and when I woke up my headache was gone. I have been feeling really good and I know it's because of the coffee and butter😁
Honestly, I'm doing better than I've done in a long time. Yay! I'm basically zero carb omad. However, I do allow sugar free bbq sauce on occasion, and I don't see any negative effects. I'm losing weight, and my mental health is on point. Thanks, Bella!
@@Berserk1Manga Why? Not necessarily an omad fanatic, but when I do eat as such, I have zero problems. So I'm curious as to why you say it's unhealthy.
Great information! One important electrolyte that is NOT in LMNT is Calcium. When my calcium gets low, then my nose starts running profusely, as if I have an allergic reaction. It took me over 50 years to figure out the problem was low Calcium. Neither my parents nor any one of my 11 siblings have this issue. Nobody I know has this issue. Lucky me! =p
WOW....I just started carnivore yesterday. My calcium has been low but I don't take it because I did research and everything I found said supplementing doesn't really help. My nose runs all the time! I didn't know why but it's been super annoying. Now I know why. THANK YOU!!!!!!
I've texted Dr. Berry & now you about this MAJOR RED FLAG re this Carnovore, NO CARB diet. The brain needs CARBS in order to function. Without carbs, the brain can not produce DOPAMINE, which is the brain's fuel! Therefore, messing with your brain is DANGEROUS!! A relative of mine wanted to loose a few pounds. She put herself on a NO CARB diet for 2 yrs. She developed PARKINSON DISEASE!!! Although we put her on the synthetic DOPAMINE, L-DOPA, she quickly deteriorated & died. For that reason, you should warn people of the dangers of NO CARB diets!........
@@stars_for_night_lights I think mine is low too. I'm wondering if adding alittle bit into the electrolyte water during the day would help. Have you ever experimented with that?
2 months new to carnivore diet. This is the kind of information I've been looking for through all the people on RUclips thank you very very much! 75 years old looking for a new life.
Thanks, I'm over 77 and just found this site. I've been on a casual intermittent fasting regiment, lost 20 pounds. I am going to try being a carnivore, because it just sounds like me, always have enjoyed meats of all kinds, noy a fruit and veggie guy. Just needed to hear from another old guy. Thanks.
First time watcher, Definitely the most beautiful carnivore I’ve ever seen, but having said that thanks to Dr. Sean Baker and Dr. Ken Barry I’ve dropped 54 pounds in 98 days.
I learned a lot, even after being on the diet for 6 months. It’s a learning trip, I keep listening to a variety of different people, and it has helped me maintain my weight. I’m not going for weight loss, gout was my goal, but I’m enjoying all the extra benefits. Went from a 54” waist size, to a 44” waist size. I’m not impatient, I didn’t get in this shape, overnight, but if I didn’t start when I did, nothing would have changed! Don’t waste your time and health, get started, but it’s not a race, and you don’t get medals, you’ll get healthier!
Since being on carnivore. I have had really bad diarrhea after I eat. I took your advice and started eating my saturated fats cold like my butter Etc ...that has been an extreme help for me ..I'm so glad you shared that because it has changed my carnivore diet.. I don't have a gallbladder and it seemed like every time I ate a lot of fat I would spend the rest of the night on the bathroom but now I'm not thank you so much for your advice it was very helpful!!
Eating too late daily can be a pain. Crazy thing about coffee. I make 💩 when time comes naturally but on low carb now, black coffee in morning releases stuff in 10-15 minutes after drinking lol some skin rush, red finger stuff after cutting all oxalates to zero but got higher in dairy so it explains it well. For me diarrhea is clearly meaning gut bacteria adaptation to new gut biom composition as oldies fight back and some stuff from fried fats can be problematic (lard seems to be most optimal) Other stuff may be electrolytes or drinking too much. Diluting food intake before digestion loosing value from food not being fully processed.
Eating butter cold does absolutely nothing, unless you expect it to and then get a placebo effect. Once the 'cold' butter hits your body, it will become your body's temperature within mere minutes.
@@joseayala6770 I have a bottle of “ox bile”, is that the same as bile salts. It says on the bottle to take 2 before eating. I recently had my gallbladder removed because it burst and my daughter got me a bottle of ox bile pills to take.
I am a newbie carnivore (started July 3rd) from the keto diet. I am 62, obese, with multiple autoimmune syndrome, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis and stage 3 kidney disease…except for experiencing the dreaded diarrhea I started feeling amazing almost immediately, maybe a week in. Consistently lost weight, had so much energy I started walking 5 miles a day, my blood pressure went down, so I was able to lower my blood pressure meds, I even have been able to lower my insulin! Really, it has been incredible. I have had zero cravings for starches and sugar, but this week I was really craving vegetables and thought, well how bad could eating some veggies be…went off plan for just 4 days, I had a couple of heirloom tomatoes and a small amount of cabbage, celery and onion salad and some tomato soup, all organic and homemade. After just 4 days my legs started swelling, I had sharp pain in my fingers, my allergies became worse and my restless leg syndrome came back, oh, and my energy tanked. So, back to strict carnivore for me and 2 days later I have started feeling better again. I think I have learned that veggies for me are toxic. I think the tomatoes were the culprit for most of my symptoms, but I’m not really sure. I just know I won’t be doing that again! Thanks for all of your great content here, it has really helped me greatly!
I am starting to think veggies are not good for me either since I have goiter. Kale burned my throat. idk I will go back to grass fed beef and eggs also.
The lectins in tomatoes, whole grains and nightshade vegetables like peppers, aubergines, beans etc can play havoc with people suffering from arthritis. Steer clear of them! Some green veggies like asparagus, brussel sprouts, avocados for example shouldn't be a problem.
Like Elle M said about the lectins in tomatoes & nightshade foods. However, avocados should be avoided or consumed in very small amounts. Tomatoes & avocados raise histamine levels in the body. If you're allergic to poison ivy, you should avoid avocados, mangoes & a few other cousin related foods to the poison ivy plant. Look up about that, nightshade foods & foods that raise histamine levels. You may not need to totally avoid them all together just decrease the amount you consume in a short period of time &/or take an allergy pill when you consume them. Good luck!
Great advice. I was shocked by my food allergies and sensitivities. 4 yrs ago, I ate all foods and never realized I had issues, but no matter how much I exercised and dieted, I couldn't loose weight. I was a lady at 240 lbs at 5'-3" tall. I found the Keto diet and cut out gluten and lost some weight. Then I did a dairy free keto challenge. 3 days in my knee pain was gone. I'd thought I needed knee surgery, but nope it was inflation and food allergies. Later, going through a stressful time, I tried going back to a standard American diet, except dairy free. After a week of gluten, my knees doubled in size and hurt so bad, so it confirmed dairy free & gluten free made my knees happy. Eventually, I tried carnivore diet, and still had a touch of knee pain. Turns out it was eggs. I do want to try egg yokes because I used to love eating eggs and Bella's egg pudding 😋 so good. So I'm excited to try it egg white free. Anyway, though carnivore and fasting, I got down to 195 lbs. But then went on a family vacation and let them talk me into adding fruit and other carbs & veggies back into my diet. I've slowly put weight back on and have tried to get back into carnivore & fasting, but wasn't able to get myself back on track until recently, so for the last 2 years, up to a month ago, I was back up to 220lbs... now, I'm back on track and down to 211 lbs. Food allergies & sensitivity I have: Dairy (if it comes from an utter, I can't have it. No ghee, no whey). Gluten, Eggs (maybe just whites, I'm not sure. Will try yokes and see) Night shades (bell peppers, any peppers, tomatoes & eggplant) Garlic & onions Possible other spices. Almonds & some other nuts Luckily, coconut is ok, so I do have coconut milk & oil. I also have dark chocolate, but I think that's hindering my results, so I may cut it out. Hard part of carnivore is eating out with friends and dating. Any advice there would be good. Stake dinner isn't always an option. Since, I'm still really overweight, it's hard to convince people what I'm doing is working. Plus, I've gotten to the point, I don't like to talk about it. Today, is my 2nd fasting day this week. (Monday, was my 1st). I am down 4 lbs, this week alone. Thank goodness for priming and eating a lot of meat before. I'm super excited about the future.
Keep the faith!! Lifestyle change is not easy. Research the oxcalate issues. You'll be surprised. Easiest thing is eating the same foods often. Meat is healing but very extreme at the same time. Many of us need extreme changes in order to live healthy. Food is dangerous if not used with caution. Life is worth the living if all these changes make you healthier and in love with being alive! No food is worth death! Mind body and soul attention daily. You'll get there. God bless!
Keep going! Eating out: I know I feel better eating this way so when I eat out, I'm eating a burger or steak with bacon or eggs or a huge meat omelet, (insert whatever food you tolerate and do well on) or I'm not eating while I'm out. This is a lifestyle change for me so I got used to that. Eat first, have water while friends eat, or eat at a place I can tolerate the food. Don't convince people it's working. If I "need" to explain my eating to anyone, I explain I'm on an elimination diet or I explain that some people can eat high fiber and feel good but apparently my body gets sick with any fiber at all so my meals now include no fiber and I feel much much better plus I'm slowly losing weight too. And dates can include non meal events like movies and plays, parks and museums, and sports and hiking. Do stuff you love to do or want to try - that's what you'll be doing eventually anyway if the dating phase goes well and you are together long term:)
This was a childhood favourite of mine - my mum would put the eggs in a mug and chop them together with butter and a little salt. We called it literally what it was: egg-in-a-cup !!!
Nice! As a new Carnibaby, I take boiled eggs, butter and pork belly to work. I do the same with my eggs- melt some butter and break my eggs in it and mix. I call it "Soft Popcorn"
I am 66 years old and weigh 380 lbs. I just started Carnivore (4 days ago). I enjoy your approach to letting us know about your journey and look forward to your insight.
Day 6,-2.5kg. But most importantly feeling amazing, satiated and full of energy. Disclaimer: I was very low carb before jumping into carnivore. So I didn't have attachment to foods that are high in carbs.
As an ex vegan myself nearly 6 years I am quite confident to say that plant based diet is nutritional castration... I still had my period but absolutely no libido... This is seriously disturbing looking back at this.
I've been addicted to dairy and processed carbs my whole life and I love pepper. I especially love my Chobani yogurts. This past year has been the sickest in my life: tired always, sick with the flu for 4 months out of this year, mental fog, etc. I just started on the carnivore diet two days ago and am already starting to feel better. It is restrictive but I don't feel hungry. Enjoy your videos and the great advice. Just subscribed here to to a few other pro-carnivore sites. Appreciate the great work that you do and all the great guests you have on. I think you are all making a great deal of sense.
If you have yogurt, only have yogurt made from non-homogenized milk. Homogenized milk is substantially more congestive in ones body. The best brand I've found is Alexandre Dairy, who makes a grass-fed sourced milk, non homogenized. Brown Cow also has non-homogenized, but they use grain-emphasis dairy, apparently.
I would suggest doing a video of how your life use to be--the cravings, the rashes, etc. Then document the time frame and the changes in health you have experienced thus far. Then once a week (or month) do another video describing dietary changes you have made, what worked, what didn't, and notice your current body and especially your eyes and face. When you feel like taking a break from carnivore review your previous videos to see what that means you are breaking into--a life of bad health! Years down the road I believe you will be very grateful to yourself for not yoyoing in and out of carnivore.
@@mitsuracer87 it is for some. Just because it works for you it doesn't for others. I can't do dairy without inflammation n mucous build up in my throat. Is it allowed on carnivore...yes but dairy is really not great for adults.
There could potentially be a problem with cheeses that have orange coloring. The dye put in cheeses to make them orange can cause migranes in some people. The fix for this is to consume natural cheeses or cheeses that are white in color.
Try a little mustard with eggs. May not be completely carnivore but really helps to eliminate gas issues so no tummy troubles. Worth it for benefit of eggs!
I agree, this lovely lady speaks beautifully. Just listening to her is like pleasant music. It seems we have nearly lost our spoken and written English language. I'll now return to Pope and Coleridge.
When I first started I really missed desserts…..so once a week I would have a bowl of cream and a few raspberries or blueberries or strawberries mixed in.I know this doesn’t quite fit the bill but it did help me mentally get over it
I was suffering from the worst depression and anxiety of my life until I started ketamine therapy in July. It wiped away my depression but also regulated my nervous system. This gave me more clarity and energy to finally start cooking for myself again, and it’s been amazing. When I started eating steak again, my brain and body was just craving it! Every time I eat a steak my brain just lights up. Next thing I know I’m adding more and more butter and ghee to my meals. Then I find SBG and it all just makes so much sense. I’m so glad I’m not stuck where I was before, ordering FreshNLean which was soooo inflammatory. I was eating more carbs to be “pro metabolic” for my PCOS but it still left me bloated. I hated relying on veggies and carbs to feel more full when all I really wanted was the meat!!! ❤❤❤
A carnivore diet has helped me with my chronic migraines. Following a plant based diet (started out as a vegetarian) for 14 years was not helping my migraines. I would get breakthrough migraines consistently every month.. so about 3 attacks/month. I switched to a carnivore diet after my husband (who is keto) suggested I look into it. I made the switch and no migraines. Several months later I decided to go a bit more on a keto diet and BAM! A migraine attack that lasted more than 5 days.. it was so awful.. so I went back to a carnivore WOE and I have not had migraines since then.. Thanks for the amazing info. I have been off bc for a few months and I have not had a menstrual period.. I will be adding more butter as per your recommendation..
I’m not sure I can eat straight butter. But I adore drinking heavy cream. Do you think this would work as well as taking butter bites to silence cravings? Thanks in advance.
Been no and off carnivore for 1.5 years now and your channel has been a big help so a big thank you! lost a lot of weight, joint pain a bit better, hair got better, eczema went away. The only problem i have is acne. I took a break from carnivore around last Christmas and my birthday month this year. During Christmas it was fine, however after my birthday month break when i started back on carnivore I had a big acne out break which i haven't experienced in years as i am in my mid 30s. The acne was on going and it didn't get much better after i went back on carnivore for awhile. However last 2 month i decided to cut out egg white and sauna more regularly. I noticed a big improvement.
Hey love I would probably say it’s the fact your going back and forth. I think that throws your hormones off. Also organic is the best bc there’s no hormones throwing your body off!!
2 much raw eggwhite can cause skin damage, read that in a book a couple of years ago, tried to find you a reference on google but could not so not sure if memory is off. Anyways, thought I mention it atleast. Gl hf
I have been keto since early June this year when I decided that at 5' 8" 195lbs was too heavy. Along with a host of symptoms including eating fatigue, IBS, bloating, insomnia and other things I have been experiencing arthritic/joint pain in my two index fingers for a while now. The left hand has probably been 8-10 months and the right started about 6-8 weeks ago. I decided to go full on carnivore on the 3rd week of August, and then further decided to get off dairy two weeks ago. My fingers literally feel 95% better. This morning I added HWC back into my coffee and immediately had an IBS experience... so I'm thinking if I continue with HWC coffee I'm gonna pay for it 😞 Bye bye HWC... I'm really gonna miss you 😂
Hi Been following since stating carnivore (cold turkey) 9 weeks ago. Day 4 I woke up SHOCKED that I felt alive and well... After 3yrs of suffering with memory loss, brain fog, body aches, bloating, acid reflux, etc, etc, etc .......and besides about 5 days of severe body pains, I have had no issues adapting.... And I feel great. I lost 10kg and moved down 2 sizes. THAT was a bonus and a surprise! The more I listen, the more I wonder if I need to be looking out for issues.... Or just keep going, in ignorance Also, can I just eat steak? I do go for Ribeye I don't like other meats. I do eat a few eggs and a slice or 2 of cheese a week. I also have 1 cup of herb tea
4 weeks into it and lost 10 lbs. no anxiety, depression, migraines or any headaches, sinuses, allergies and I’m so motivated. I do fast because I’m 54 and dealing with peri menopause. I eat one meal a day right now but will eat more once I lose my last 10lbs and go on maintenance. Eat steak, eggs, sardines and tuna, chicken wings. Thank you for all your tips. I watch you and dr Chaffee
The pepper, the salt!!!! Omg I would’ve never thought these could be the cause of my laziness and allergies! Wow!! This video is amazing and so helpful! I will definitely be experimenting with some of these! Thank you so much, Bella!!
yes, I remember #Jordan Peterson# and maybe even Mikhalia experienced a problem with table pepper at his/her beginning of carnivore lifestyle... not sure if they've added pepper back into their lifestyle.
You're right on about the eggs. I always loved the taste of them including whites but my stomach never did. Always made me a little nauseous after eating them. I eat just yolks now or maybe do one or two whites out of the 4 I eat and am much better off.
Drinking water is vital to life! You may not need 2 gallons; which was hyperbole on your part. Elderly end up in the hospital all the time because they have become dehydrated. Water is essential to life, a person can die within three days from dehydration. Every cell in your body needs water.
I had some kefir, that liquid yoghurt, plain, and it broke me out the next day. It was the only new thing in my diet, so it was a good experiment. I stopped eating it pronto. Dairy sucks as a rule for me, except butter.
I make my own Kefir. It's very hard to find raw unpasteurized milk in my area, but you can easily make your own Kefir at home ( even though it is pasteurized milk) it's filled with great probiotics and takes almost zero time to make
The Kefir Grains provide the probiotics to the milk. The milk provides a food source to the kefir grains and that is how they find symbiosis. I understand that Raw milk may have other bacteria that is less desirable and even could be harmful, and therefore the kefir grains are best used with pasteurized milk so as no to compete with other bacteria strains. This provides a consistent set of bacterial fermentation that never changes
@@exploringwithdave5926 You should study more about what you comment on before commenting. Raw milk actually helps the process because it has over 30 strains of good bacteria. So when you add the kefir bacteria you are getting ever more GOOD bacteria. Any undesirable bacteria gets over taken by the good during fermentation. Plus when you pasterize the milk then use it for kefir you kill off some of the good nutrients and good bacteria in the MILK. Please provide info on this bad bacteria in raw milk I cannot find enough info on it besides what you are spout along about. You are basically telling people to make a inferior product based on something you HEARD not KNOW.
I never knew that about the hot/liquified fats causing digestive issues. This has happened to me, and I was concerned it was fat quantities, or some kind of butter intolerance. I will have to try that simple, tasty version of egg salad with the solid butter mixed in. :)
Hey SB-Fam! I’d be curious to know which foods you’ve found problematic along your journeys.❤️🥰 Come join my 24/7 Carnivore Support Group!

Cheese is constipating to me sadly! I just eat, meat, eggs, mostly the yolks, butter and heavy cream is ok but probably not the best for me.
I have real trouble eating eggs, I just find the smell and taste really repulsive ☹️
I have trouble with ground meat. I've had gastric bypass 22 years ago. All other meats are fine. I also eat eggs
Dairy, chicken, pork, shrimp, turkey
Bella I'm so glad you speak of rendered fat. That's something I cannot do. Ugh. I really don't like the taste or smell. I drain my ground beef and then eat it with butter. I especially like cold butter and hot meat, taking bites of each.
Reached 396 today. Lowest since being 620 lbs.
Way to go!
Congrats. Welcome down to the 300s! Keep it up (or down, I guess). 👍
You must feel great. Congrats on your success and may you continue to goal.
Keep that. Good luck 🇵🇱💪
Congratulations!!! Keep it up 💗
My husband and I have been on keto for 8 months.
Congratulations. Lots to be thankful for.
I love the Steak and Butter Gang! Highly recommend joining for the support and information shared. I truly appreciate you Bella❤️
How is cooked fat different from cool/solid/room temp? Wouldn't it just melt in your mouth, or when it hits your stomach?
@@carbonsubie Not if is frozen butter or chilled beef
@@paulakuschel4347 How would that make a difference once it's in your body?
Congrats!
I am so inspired by this! I am 60 and in my second month. Working out the details. Gosh I love cream!! Haha!
@@exploringwithdave5926 Good for you Dave! There are plateaus but life in general has those periods. I wish you the best.
On my 6th day and I’m going to admit, overcoming the sugar cravings is tough but I’ve lost 6 lbs. So I’m gonna stick the course. No energy loss. Sleeping great. Still feel hungry quite a bit
Eat butter. Lol. That's what she says here. Can't imagine eating butter but I'm going to try since as she said, sugar's call is strong.
My experience with salt is exactly the opposite, if I don’t get enough my energy crashes and I feel awful. If I’m feeling that way, a quarter tsp of salt picks me right back up.
I will have to try the cold egg salad thing with hard cold butter......thanks
I mix white fish with sardines black pepper and butter and its so delish!
Already I cant eat more than once a day as fish is so dense!
First time I snacked on straight butter I shuttered and winced
The very next day I took a spoonful and it was delicious. It was like eating yogurt or somthing. I think I was eating too lean so thats why I ate some butter the day before and I have a feeling my body knew when I got it down it was just what I needed so the next day I had a taste for it
Trouble is food in USA and other countries are so drowning in hormones and chemicals you can't make comparisons.
I agree that dairy is a no-no, except for organic butter and organic cheese.
I believe that kefir and yogurt made from pasteurized milk are made after the milk has been pasteurized, not before. The cultures, to some extent, bring it back to life.
Started carnivore On Feb. 11th 2023. I was 193 lbs. Today I’m 177lbs. I’m 38 and feel better than I have in 20 years. I’ll never stop.
This video just saved me! Butter for the win, thank you! 🙏❤️
Just what I needed to hear..how to stop the sugar craving!! Thanks..
Egg whites always give me stomach aches. I separate it out from the yolk and have no issues that way.

Don't forget goat products. I can use goat milk, cheese, and butter with no problem , unlike cow milk which causes digestive issues.

*****Knowing how amazing meat is for the body… Don’t you find it just a little bit disturbing that the elites of the world are attempting to reduce your access to meat?******
It’s really bad
Yeah, a bit odd they'd love to get rid of real beef and feed you the veggie meat and the lab grown meat.
Believe me these elites are eating meat. They just want us peasants to eat vegetable, fruits and crickets.
Yes we're ruled by ignorant, power lusting slobs.
Reached 564 tonight, was 834 lbs when I started.
What? Congrats Bro! This is great news, again congrats.

Oh my, oh my, oh my !!! That is fantastic!!! I know you got to be on a real high ! Lol. Fantastic news !! Very happy for you. I was 834…….let that sink in
Holy shit that’s incredible

I was raised vegan, I'm 26 now and I do not feel healthy. I'm about to start carnivore for the first time, it's very nerve racking because I have no idea how to cook, prepare, pick out, or even how to properly eat meat. Thank you for this video, i found it extremely helpful especially the beginner tips of just starting slow and introducing things one at a time. Also loveddd the piano at the end! That was beautiful to watch.
Lots of great videos on this channel and several other carnivore ones. Good luck to you!
Enjoy!!!
@@leafwind2822 thank you that actually sounds good and easy! I really appreciate the tips

Hows it going?
That’s when I started keto too! Now I’m day 10 carnivore!!!!
Insane. Good job

Too many eggs bother me, (more than three per serving, if I try 4 my stomach is like NOPE!😂), I have zero issues with cheese and grass fed hamburger.

Yogurt will take care of that

I learned a lot, even after being on the diet for 6 months. It’s a learning trip, I keep listening to a variety of different people, and it has helped me maintain my weight. I’m not going for weight loss, gout was my goal, but I’m enjoying all the extra benefits. Went from a 54” waist size, to a 44” waist size.
For me diarrhea is clearly meaning gut bacteria adaptation to new gut biom composition as oldies fight back and some stuff from fried fats can be problematic (lard seems to be most optimal)
Other stuff may be electrolytes or drinking too much. Diluting food intake before digestion loosing value from food not being fully processed.
Try some prebiotics or yogurt... happens to me all the time. I blow up toilets all over Pittsburgh
Eating butter cold does absolutely nothing, unless you expect it to and then get a placebo effect. Once the 'cold' butter hits your body, it will become your body's temperature within mere minutes.
You have to take bile salts before every meal. Bile helps break down proteins and fat.
Miracles on earth 😉 you did great. Imagine how many struggle or not brave/pushed enough
Good luck!
We might be twins, good luch
Food allergies & sensitivity I have:
Dairy (if it comes from an utter, I can't have it. No ghee, no whey).
Gluten,
Eggs (maybe just whites, I'm not sure. Will try yokes and see)
Night shades (bell peppers, any peppers, tomatoes & eggplant)
Garlic & onions
Possible other spices.
Almonds & some other nuts
Luckily, coconut is ok, so I do have coconut milk & oil. I also have dark chocolate, but I think that's hindering my results, so I may cut it out.

If you have yogurt, only have yogurt made from non-homogenized milk. Homogenized milk is substantially more congestive in ones body. I eat one meal a day right now but will eat more once I lose my last 10lbs and go on maintenance. Eat steak, eggs, sardines and tuna, chicken wings. Thank you for all your tips. I watch you and dr Chaffee
egg salad made with bacon fat mayonnaise works great too!
The pepper, the salt!!!! Omg I would’ve never thought these could be the cause of my laziness and allergies! Wow!! This video is amazing and so helpful! I will definitely be experimenting with some of these! Thank you so much, Bella!!
yes, I remember #Jordan Peterson# and maybe even Mikhalia experienced a problem with table pepper at his/her beginning of carnivore lifestyle... not sure if they've added pepper back into their lifestyle.
im pretty sure black pepper is high in oxalates
Any spice that isn't organic is loaded with pesticides and herbicides organic pepper is so good for u
@@machinegunhippy black pepper makes my KP so much worse. I noticed those who have autoimmune disease should stay away from pepper for a bit
salt is needed if u are on a clean (unprocessed)low carb diet
You're right on about the eggs. I always loved the taste of them including whites but my stomach never did. Always made me a little nauseous after eating them. I eat just yolks now or maybe do one or two whites out of the 4 I eat and am much better off.
I have the opposite, I feel nauseous when eating yolks.
I love kefir.
Have organic butter as normal has transfats
