Real it took me like 4 battles to find the lvl 16 chocobo Immediately fed it Mimette greens turn one with Barett, then L4 suicide as cloud immediately after then boom I got it !!! Super easy ! 🎉

It's important to note that the only way one can get Trine on every Enemy Skill (if completion's indeed the direction one wishes to go) is to put off the Wutai Pagoda until the Highwind is unlocked and the last copy of the materia is taken from the Chocobo Sage's house
You can get trine from the boss inside mt nibel where you have to slide down the pipes to get the three items bc once its beat it leaves behind the counter materia
@@chadmabe7069 yes, but the wutai sidequest is the only time in which one can ever hope to get trine on the enemy skill materia which can't be received until after that boss
One of my favorite materia in the game. You can deal spike damage, no elemental magic, Demi, AoE, heal, instant death, transform, and then steal your opponents MP to replenish…it’s such an amazing materia 😯
Though not mentioned here, "Aqualung" is also casted by Jenova LIFE at the end of Disc 1. I'm refraining from collecting all enemy skills until I get the 4th materia, and then I'll fight Godo for the missable Trine.
I'm sorry, but "Aqualung" can be learned as soon you arrive North Corel and you go outside to the "Chocobo's finding area" next to the desert and fight the Harpy with a Chocobo, obviously within Chocobo Lure. 😉 I've just knew that a few months ago... 😅
True! I placed it after completing Corel Prison as I imagine most players won't venture that way until they have the buggy. (Where to go in that region can be quite confusing for first time players.) It could be very useful for those encounters though if you wanted to get it early!
Having played through the Hardcore Remix mod and part of The New Threat mod: damn, I forgot how rare (and in some cases, late) some of these enemy skills are in vanilla. Angel Whisper and Pandora's Box are right at the end of the game!
I have the platinum from both new remake/rebirth... But I suck at this version, Thanks a million for your help! My brother played this in 97 and I was turned off by both rpgs and polygon graphics, I was surprised the industry even went this way instead of trying to perfect integrating digital video as disk systems where previously doing... Anyway I'm playing it now to find out what dialogue is different... I really do like the new versions more, living in the past is just kinda sad... retro sucks and polygon gaming led to the dark ages where lighing in games sucked for a decade... 10 years of black space filler in games... The new Final fantasy 7 is truly the best of what a console can do.
Don't forget you can stack your Enemy Skill materia on one character. As long as none of the materia already have the skill, hitting that one character with all of them will equipped once will copy it on each of them.
@@Crazyreyn honestly I can't get over how ranged it is and how extremely OP it is 😂 It's made it more enjoyable as it's a different challenge. I've tried to spend the game after Midgar not using Magic and Summons so it's helped a lot 😅
I believe it is possible to get trine and pandoras box on all 4 enemy skill materia by having multiple of them equipped on one character and also not fighting Godo until getting the 4th enemy skill materia

It's the BOF series skill learning ability all in one materia, and you don't even have to mess with swapping.

Yeah, you can get three enemy skill materias but I only needed 2. I figured many of these attcks were missable

@@jamesnicholson54 Yup - using Trine, Beta or Aqualung can take you through random encounters pretty much until the end of disc 2!

How do you get a second shadow flare? I don’t think you can even manipulate that mantis enemy.
Dragon Zombie in the northern cave. It is likely to kill whoever it hits with this attack.
pro tip: just search the harpy in the desert its more easy and you dont need a chocobo lure.
But then it's missable
Aqualung can also be found in the sunken gelnika used by the viper enemy's when there health is low
Is acqualung missable ?
No it’s not. You can learn it from Jenova after Aeris dies, and from Serpents in the sunken Gelnika ship.
