Man I Love all these Rat Fink models. The weirdo's, all those to. My Father was friends with Ed (BIG DADDY) Roth many years ago. When I was a kid. He met him when my parents lived in California. Dad was a big Hot Rod guy to. Spent a lot of time watching him build cars and motorcycles His whole life. Lost my Dad last August, but still have the last car. He built. 1930 model A with a 400 mopar big block. Set up like a high boy. Had several of these original models in his room. Just takes me back. Was a very cool part of my Childhood. Thanks man. By the way. The finished product on this one. Looks Absolutely Fantastic. All the detail paint is outstanding. With your help, I hope to get my skills in that area tuned in as well. Thanks again. Looking forward to the next video.
51:45 minutes of watching a master at work. Have no issues with that. Always something new to learn from you, and appreciate you passing on the knowledge you have gained over the years. A superb video from start to finish and the kit turned out amazing.
Well done 👏 ✔ Chris....so enjoy your videos 📹 please keep them coming 🙏 😉 and here to help get your videos 📹 😉 out to everyone to enjoy 😉 😀 great job 👏 👍 😀
I must say that you and another RUclipsr have inspired me to start my own thing. Y’all make it seem so fun. I started late last year as another name but have rebranded to include a variety of fun DIY projects. Thanks for making it about us and being inspirational!
I got back into it again about 2and1/2 years ago with my now 8 year old grand son. He can now follow the instructions and with a little help from pawpaw build by himself. We're still working on air brush skills. I'm so proud of him. Now we have to do his derby car for scouts I'll give him some help where needed. where going to have so much fun if my back allows. Hpiguys and Model car videos got me going again and I want to think them very much and my grandson thinks them very very much for getting me going again.
I found 4 of them that my dad built, they were in a box so I got them out and gave them some love, thay look awesome next to my batmobile and other models, I just found your channel and subscribed and liked, you do amazing work thank you.
EXTREME. AWSOME. RADICLE. DIFFERENT. Ed "Big Daddy" Roth thunk it and you done did it. Very impressive - OK, "Big Daddy" was my Company's radio call sign in the Army, back in 1968. Talent applied, even to insane kits, just makes them CRAZY GOOD.
This is awesome! I used to build "Big Daddy's" models as a kid, along w/ Monogram customs and various Revell rods, drag cars, etc. back in the the early to late 70's. I believe i had well close to 40 built models at one time. Most got destroyed since we moved a few times back then, plus i think i was a little reckless as a kid. Still think about those days.
I always enjoy these figure builds - they're simple to assemble, but the detail painting is what really makes them stand out and you've nailed yet another one here!
Having done a few of these kits and would like to share a tip. The monster mouths are hard to paint inside cuz the teeth get in the way. So clip off the the teeth with a nail clipper. Paint mouth interior. Later use the same teeth or make fresh from stretched sprue, (that plastic the parts come on). Glue teeth in place with 5 minute epoxy (I do not trust crazy glue) Paint the gums and teeth, done. Epoxy glue also makes a great gloss for the eyes. Cheers
Chris, you really shine when you do figures. The Surfink looks great!!! Like the surf 🏄♂️ board! Sorry about your crabs, my the cold weather will take care of that😂. Keep up the great work!
Wow, does that bring back memories. There was a similar kit with a figure and a great big V-8 engine that ran a propeller under the board. Do you remember that one? Never mind, I found you have a video review of it, Stroker McGurk. Have you built it? Also; is it just me, or does old Dinghead look like what you'd get if you shaved all the hair off of Gossamer from the Bugs Bunny cartoons? ;>)
