I met Big Daddy at the Tridents car show in 1965. I got his autograph and a Rat Fink hat. I still have both. Plus many collectables. He is my hot rod hero.

I met Big Daddy at World or Wheels selling his t-shirts in 1986. I asked “how come you don’t make a monster driving a VW Beetle on your shirts?” …. - Cause nobody would buy it - Ed

As a kid in the '60s and '70s I was always drawing. The man who's art I drew the most was "Big Daddy" Ed Roth. I cannot count how many of his stuff I drew. And everybody wanted one of my drawings. Today, there are people who still have my drawings. Ed was my inspiration. I gave up my art to be a stock car racer. But sure is nice to have someone send me a picture of a crazy picture I drew 40 plus years ago. Thanks Ed. GOD BLESS BIG DADDY!!

Back in the 60's when I was a teen I loved the Rat Fink stuff and even used an airbrush to paint my own monsters on T-shirts. Unfortunately it did not make me rich or famous but I did sell a few and had fun doing it.

As a child in the early 70's I collected RF stuff You used to be able to buy the little plastic figures from Gum Ball machines. My 2 uncles who were Hot Rodders would often trade me stickers or magazines to get my "good" rat fink stuff.

Well.. I just parked next to a Ratfink truck at Porter Hill Vallero.. aka Gas Mart. Was hoping the owner would come out of the store b4 I had to leave. He apparently wasn't in the store.. He apparently was in the bar a cross the street at noon. No biggie but I wasn't going over to the baitshop bar.. They have a habbit of being so nice that you stay longer than you should! Props to the owner either way.. I'd love to have met him to answer some questions! God bless all!
