Artist 'Big Daddy' Ed Roth hated Mickey Mouse and all he stood for. So in 1960 he came up with his answer to the 'all-American' rodent; he drew a dropping bug-eyed mouse-monster.
Ron Mann's documentary combines animation with biography to tell Roth's story, a man who also revolutionised America's 'kustom kar' industry from his backyard. WWE wrestler Steve Austin, Hollywood actor John Goodman and the Tonight Show's Jay Leno are just some of the stars who voice Mann's fun,affectionate film.

I never realized that I was in the Tales or a Rat Fink until I actually saw my name on the screen and then me pinstriping the hood of Big Daddy’s truck. It was at my first Reunion , I later became the auctioneer ,and all the $$ went to the Shriners Burn Center For Children..

I feel very lucky to have met Ed Roth on I-10 rest stop in the middle of California. Stopped for a break got to talking with him while he was showing me a whole lot of his artwork. I was always a fan having his artwork on my notebooks and keeping track of who had the fastest drag racer at the time. That was big daddy Don Garletts who was the first to come up with the rear engine drag racers.
