What can people who unexpectedly recover from serious illnesses teach us about living better?Harvard’s Dr Jeff Rediger shares his insights into mind, body and identity.
In the history of medicine, we have almost never used the tools of rigorous science to investigate remarkable recoveries from incurable illnesses. But, Dr Jeff Rediger, a world-leading Harvard medic, has spent the last fifteen years studying thousands of individuals from around the world and examining the stories behind these extraordinary cases of spontaneous remission.
Dr. Rediger says, ‘The people I met on this fifteen year journey didn’t know how much time they had. They didn’t have the key to immortality. Nor did they cheat death. They sort forth with the mission to claim the life that was theirs for the time they had. In doing so, they healed.’
In this free livestream, Dr. Rediger explores the science of healing and applies his insights to the events of 2020.

I left my childrens father 18 years ago with chronic sciatica and IBS, over night it disappeared. I then contracted stage 3 chronic kidney disease 13 years later, they said due to tablets, I prayed meditated and became vegetarian, I reversed it in 3 years. I'm a Buddhist meditator and I believe in a devine source (Religious God). I've developed and helped people for many years healing with therapies, food, fasting and other. I beleive in ME as a quantum being with infinite possibilities, and heading for enlightenment 🙏

I think this is great!!... I’m no expert I barely graduated high school but this subject really intrigues me, I do research on it all the time from Dr.Jeff , Dr. Joe Dispenza & Dr.Lisa Rakkins our body truly have a innate ability to heal themselves they always have... this is something they don’t want us to know due to big pharmaceuticals of course!!... WE CAN ALL DO THIS

"The democratization of modern medicine", "just the beginnings of studying health", doctors have "specialized in body parts" instead of practicing medicine holistically.

We all need to find what works for us. My autoimmune issues like psoriatic arthritis/skin rashes, Type 2 Diabetes and severe depression (included hospitalizations/electroconvulsive therapy when no medications helped) and severe panic disorder that developed into 10 years+ of agoraphobia (couldn't leave the house because bowels would immediately empty if I tried to go out) were all reversed with an all-meat diet. The high density nutrition of beef, lamb, liver and sardines is what my body was crying out for. #MeatRx #MeatHeals Great video, thanks!

@@racheloliv You clearly have problems that have little to do with your diet. Then again, maybe a change in diet would give you a better character and personality. Good luck to you.

A great read is dr. Nicholas Gonzalez's nutrition and the autonaumic nervous system. He explains how different diets work for different people (with cancer). Most with hard tumors and are too much in fight or flight mode need vegan diet, but there are some that operate too much in the parasympathetic that needed a meat inclusive or even an all meat diet in a few rare cases. Some need cooked food, some more raw food. One of the best books I've ever read. Everyone is different, but it is difficult to see people recommend meat eating to cancer patients because generally speaking, that is the opposite of what they need.

Jeff, you interviewed people in your book who changed their prognosis through a Keto diet as well. You seem to not want to explore that further here nor in your book. The problem when you are talking about a meat based diet vs a plant based diet is that you aren’t taking into account grass fed organic free range meat. If you are following a meat based diet and the meat you are eating has been pumped up with antibiotics and grain and the animals are not living a stress free and healthy life, of course a meat based diet can be detrimental to healing. Remember, you had case studies that have said one size does not fit all in terms of diet. I feel best on a meat based diet with some vegetables. And I dislike fruit or anything sweet. I do very badly on a plant based diet only. I highly suggest you do more investigation because there are some sweeping statements made in your book and in this interview that really require more questions being asked.
