Hoping to find some bucket style seats for my Mazda truck at the junk yard and seeing that scion seat reminded me of when I had one

I got some out of a 2007 pontiac Grand Prix. Ran into the same problem with the electric seat though! It was an easy solution all you need is to bring a mobile battery jump starter. I unplugged the switch and then scavenged some wires from a nearby car to connect the motor to my battery. Motor moved just fine and now I’ve got power seats!

Those would look good. I got some hauyndai seats and tryna get brackets for cuz they don’t fit obviously 🙄 but it shouldn’t be too bad. Just browsing and seeing what other did.

good point, I'm pretty excited about the RX8 seats. Its one of the best junkyard seats i've ever seen. They turned out very nice after scrubbing them down with disinfectant and cleaner . I'm planning on build the mounts this weekend if it ever stops raining...

I didnt notice headrest vent was actually the the dorito chip / rotary symbol until you mentioned it. I plan on getting out the plasma cutter / welder today and working on the passenger seat bracket.

I actually started working on it yesterday and found a couple of issues then came up with a new plan. I dont know if I'll make a video yesterdays failures or hold off until the new plan is finished.

I like soft leather seats. I would like to have seats out of a 1989 Chrysler Fifth Avenue but I have nothing to put them in. I guess I need to buy an old Jeep. Or buy an '89 Chrysler and leave 'em in it.

now you're showing your age, because i doubt there are many 89's are still floating around with soft leather seats. Normally junkyard seats are generally shot, but sometimes you get lucky. What you didnt see in that video was the first two or three hours spent at the previous junkyard looking for seats.

No doubt you took your time and carefully selected the right ones. True, I doubt there are many '89's out there BUT I do see them for sale from time to time and when I see one I want it.
