Awesome install! We appreciate your business.
Thanks to your team for making replacement cushions!
Thanks to you both for supporting the TJs.
I just replaced my driver's seat yesterday. Thanks for making this video-super helpful, and thanks to Summit Racing for supporting the TJs. Definitely a good business move.
Been looking everywhere for these cushions. Did mine yesterday .
Thanks! Just did this on my '03. No hog rings on the underside, and more plastic clips. Just had to be patient, and that new cushion makes a world of difference!
Nice! Thanks for making this video. I plan to actually tackle my 03 seats today. So looking forward to that lifted firm drivers seat.
@@abouttime7316 the 03-06 is slightly different but the same concept👍
Timely video. Just saw these on Saturday then saw this video yesterday. Ordered today. Great move on Summit to fill a void. Thanks for the video and the review.
I just ordered a set for my 2003 TJ from Summit and this video will surely help me with the install. Thanks
This is perfect! The bottom cushion on my driver side is falling apart fast and the woven OEM seat fabric is also falling apart. The fitment on those Bartact covers looks great compared to others.
Nice work and explanation. No more TJ gangsta lean!
Haha!
Mike, you were 100% correct, it was possible to do this job with the seat in place (bolted down inside the jeep). It would have been impossible without your video...but using your video and a little patience the job was easy enough without taking the seat out. Cheers!
Glad it helped out!
Great video. Thanks!
This must be an older TJ. My 2004 seat cover attaches with velcro and strips of plastic clips. It only requires 4 bolts to remove the cushion and spring frame from the seat base and it makes the process much easier.
Correct. This is for 97-02
Great video, thank you. Do you think there is any hope of doing this job with the seat in place (still in the jeep)? I've already sheared one seat mounting bolt...not hopeful that the other 3 will be any easier!
Yeah I think so with some patience!
Do you happen to know how to remove the factory seat covers fully? I've been wanting to remove mine to wash them but been hesitant since my TJ is my daily
I've had them on just enough to get seat heaters installed. It's been a really long time since. The process should be relatively the same. Just work through the hog rings as you come to them and have replacements on hand for reinstall.
Do you know if they have a replacement for the back of the front seats??
That I do not know...
Do you know where I can get factory type replacement upholstery not just seat covers?
I haven't been able to source any. Bartact makes a great cover. Mine are Trek Armor which became Bartact. Very well made.
THANK YOU. I have never been able to find any neither. I guess they just want to sell you the whole seat. Maybe one of your other loyal subscribers know of a source. GREAT CHANNEL. I have learned a lot from you.
Don't forget to inspect the seat frame itself while you have it apart. Mine had cracks and broken welds in it.
Yeah I mentioned that too!
@@TheBFHGarage Huh, missed that part. Lol
😁
Links or brand of the seat heater you use?
They're so old I couldn't remember 😂
Any for the XJ?
Go to Summit to check 🤷
any reason you didnt use zip ties instead of the hog rings?
Hog rings don't break where zip ties will. And with the hog ring pliers it makes short work of it l.
25 years of farts gone
🤮🤢🤮
What size hog rings?
They came with the seat foam, not sure. Maybe 3/4"?
Ordered these before everyone finds out about them and they are out of stock for months.
