Sir, I love your videos. This was a great one. I have a 01 Pontiac Grand Prix and the driver seat on the center of the seat just collapsed. Watching your videos just game me an idea of how to fix it so Thanks a lot.
I was looking for this as well, after a little investigation I found it was burlap or Hessian on the bottom (but he says you can use any heavy duty material) and a material called Cambric (some places call it fabric dust cover). It's the same stuff they use on the underside of coaches and office chairs.
For two thousand 17th there is a lot a bran that you can use One that I alway recommend is the Nappa Brand . Is not that expensive but it's not cheaper either it's in the middle
Love your videos Tio! Can you show how to make your own car seat cushion? I have a 1989 Honda Civic EF hatchback and you can’t buy a cushion anywhere, I didn’t want to buy one anyways I prefer to make it 😉, but no one shows you how to cut the foam and form a seat out of it. If you could help that’d be great!God bless!✝️💖
Just curious what you would end up charging a guy to do all this? After all that work, it seems like it would have been cheaper to just get a new seat foam!
Just yesterday I pulled the passenger seat bottom apart on my Sierra and used your trick with a steamer to 're-inflate' the foam. Last month... took apart all the sofas in the house and did it to them as well! Works great.
I don't know what Mr. Mario would charge, but I also do upholstery. A new seat foam is sometimes $300 just for the cushion. Usually I use my leftover foam from other jobs, to repair seats. So for.. idk. Say it needs foam repair, and the cover needs some repair. Maybe 175-250 for everything.
@@jimbob4859 - So still worth it I guess for most people who aren't restoring a classic (etc). And of course, you can't get a new seat foam for everything - so this is a totally viable option then.
