From Hartford, Illinois, came a mountain of a man
A hero and a legend to folks across the land
Clint Walker was a TV star in 1955
He played a wandering cowboy and the old west came to life
Cheyenne, Cheyenne
A drifting cowboy hero, and a mountain of man
The man they call Cheyenne
The man they call Cheyenne
He rode a horse named Brandy, and roamed across the west
Working as a cowboy, or with a badge upon his chest
When trouble came a-callin' he was there to save the day
And when the job was done, he'd saddle up and ride away
Cheyenne, Cheyenne
A drifting cowboy hero, and a mountain of man
The man they call Cheyenne
The man they call Cheyenne
When things got rough, he could be tough, but he could be gentle too
Which endeared him to the ladies of whom there were a few
But he was searching for that special place he hoped to find one day
And a gal to share his dreams, who'd make him want to say
Cheyenne, Cheyenne
A drifting cowboy hero, and a mountain of man
The man they call Cheyenne
The man they call Cheyenne
Rock and roll was new, and the Cold War raged on
The country needed heroes, and Clint Walker came along
I look down the trail and wonder every now and then
Will a hero ever ride this way again... like the man they call Cheyenne?
Cheyenne, Cheyenne
A drifting cowboy hero, and a mountain of man
The man they call Cheyenne

im a woman writing on my husbands account . This man was absolutely beautiful inside and out . A rare breed . Where are role models like this for young men today . Im a grandmother now and feel sorry for the decent young single women who you will often tell me they cannot find a nice guy in today's society . Clint walker was also a God fearing Christian who loved the Lord . I guess he is from an era long gone .
Fine tribute to a fine man.I am so glad I grew up in the fifties and sixties and had men like Clint Walker,Fess Parker and James Arness to look up to.
I'm with you Matthew , they were all favorites of mine never missed them, also james garner. In public schools mis fifties had a principal who was 6' 7", kinda made me think of Walker
Mr walker definitely hero!
What a beautiful tribute to a wonderful gentleman like no other. How blessed we were to have him for almost 91 years. He was as good, gentle and honest in his personal as his character in Cheyenne.
Another favorite cowboy. A true gentleman.
Wonderful impression on my child hood. If only men could be that way loved him then and now.
Clint Walker, a true hero - had he been born a few years later he would have been perfect in the movies as Jack Reacher !!
My Hero as a kid in England used to rotate every other week with Bronco Lane. Great series!
Cheyenne was on for 7 seasons. He only alternated with Bronco in Seasons 5 and 6 because Clint wanted to do fewer shows (Season 5 with Sugarfoot, too). Bronco was cancelled and Season 7 was just Clint. Cheyenne could have continued, but Clint wanted to do other things. We would have loved more...he was the best.
He is immortal,. . .now! He was a God believing man this man they called Cheyenne.
His uncle had a shop in my small town. Clint came to visit uncle in 1989 I think. I big fan of Cheyenne. A great role model for anybody. This country really needs heroes now.
Wow, brush with greatness! Thanks for sharing that. Cheyenne was a great show, it's a shame what passes for entertainment today. And there will never be another Clint Walker.
@@maricatrinmusicvids what passes for entertain ment today? i remember woody allen saying Hollywood recycles its trash into movies...:) ' or something like that. so true ....
I truly enjoyed this unforgettable series starring a real gentleman and fine actor.
One hell of a man 💕
What a beautiful tribute. So much great footage, and matched with the perfect song about Clint. Thank you!
You're welcome; thank *you.* Glad you enjoyed.
Perfection. Ok
Awesome song and video to match. Thank you Kelly Wayne and Denny Dardeen. Beautifully written and beautifully sung.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Clint talked about his horse, Brandy, in an interview about his career. He loved that horse!
Does anyone know if he bought the horse after he left?
@@southernbelle6108 No he used him in a couple of movies too, but never saw him again he said in an interview. You could see he was sad about it.
There are several of these videos to this song and they are all excellent..... I've watched them all numerous times..... but I've decided this one is my favorite! Awesome job! Thank you for making it! 💗
This made my day. Thanks for commenting! Glad you enjoyed the video.
I sure liked that big ol boy.
Very catchy tune. Well done.
What a great video!
he reminds me of james garner. the reluctant hero. he always tries not to be the hero. JAMES GARNER said that in his roles of maverick and Rockford Files. he wasnt always the one to win a fight. :)
I enjoy Maverick too, but I have to say... I think he and Cheyenne are very dissimilar. Nothing reluctant about this hero. Just quiet spoken.
@@maricatrinmusicvids well said
Cheyenne was a real hero.
👌
He was sooo fine good lord !
I have screenshots of him without his shirt on whaaat :D
He was a strappin man.
Someone put a Superman costume on him, it's an amazing photo. 😍
Thank You 🙂 🕊️
Oh what a man...does anyone know if he bought the horse after he left?
Sadly, no. Clint didn't own any horses of his own.
Cheyenne.
Whr. Bronco
