Fix Blinking Cruise Control Light Problem on 2001-2009 Toyota Prius

Quickish fix for if your cruise control light is blinking works on 2001-2009 Prius probably similar to other cars as well.

Show where the part is right above brake pedal 1:03
Show the test before install 1:12
I suggest you remove some panels 2:08
Loosen 14mm Bolt 3:38
Spin the switch off once the nut is loosened 3:59
More detail on loosening the switch nut 4:48
Test after fix 5:05
Prius can set the cruise control at the max speed of 108mph 5:59

Hi Dustin D. I want give you big thanks for posting this video. I had the same problem over here in the UK,
I was very worried about doing the repair myself but after watching your video a few times and and whilst doing it making sure I'm doing right.

Were the brake lights actually working with the old switch?

My switch wasn't fully broken it was too sensitive that is why it was shutting off the cruise so they were probably blinking as I drove but never seen them while I was driving. Maybe some sort of spring wore out in the unit.

What kind of mpg where u getting at 107mph?😁

Not sure at that moment but when I was younger with a 06 Prius I would drive long distances at 107/108 and would get 32 mpg
