Prius Cruise Control - need to push hard to turn on problem and repair

On a Prius Plus (aka Prius V in US, P3 also has the same cruise control arm)

I have an issue with my cruise,it used to work perfectly then started to work on and off and now dead. I will check to see if I have the same issue. Thanks

I had the very same symptoms before it died :) So hope yours has the same problem. I can update that mine still working as of today, so was a good fix :)
