Nah, the ram did most of the work, then they stopped so the Boss can finish the job, kick down the gate and look awesome.
I swear Menelaus killed more gates than enemy soldiers during my Sparta playthrough.

Troy is such a bag of mixed messages. Golden opportunity for a fantasy title. Instead, they wanted to tell the "truth behind the myth" but then kinda bumble around in between those two extremes.
@@ImNeurons they could have done something like AoM or fully historical with the troops and combat from the bronze age, but that truth behind the myth really ruined it.
@@Z-1991 My thoughts as well! And you know, fine, if they wanted to do historical, they can do historical... but from what I can tell, there are so many historical inaccuracies that it contradicts the stated imperative.

Diomedes the legend himself, Bane of Ares and Aphrodite.
Edit: for those who don't know, Diomedes defeated Ares and injures Aphrodite by chucking a spear directly to her hand(as she tries to retrieve Aneas "her son" off the battlefield).
Let's not forget the literal metal gear solid mission he did with Odysseus and when he laid a verbal crackdown on Agamemnon(boo)

also fun fact: aneas has his own story called the aenid (made by vergil who was hired by augustus) which is just a ripoff of a odyssey and then becomes a ripoff of iliad
For those who don’t know who Diomedes is, here’s one of his greatest accomplishments from the Illiad: he defeated Ares, the god of war, in a duel.
Xena used to do that at least 3 times every season.

And also fought Apolo directly after injuring Aphrodite, the madman fought three gods in the same day.

Ah yes! The valiant Diomedes, son of Tydeus, King of Argos. He who previously conquered Thebes of the Seven Gates. No one after the death of Achilles could rival his valor and courage. During the sack of Troy, he had been inside the Trojan Horse alongside Menelaus and Odysseus, and fought the whole night through, searching for the only Trojan worthy of him: his old adversary, Aeneas. Diomedes I imagine would pair well as an ally of Odysseus, because they two alone among all the Achaeans were a formidable force to be reckoned with in matters of stealth. Together they slaughtered the Thracian forces that came to help Troy, and even managed to slip into the city before the night of the wooden horse.
I will say, as an individual of Italian descent, Diomedes also has a role in Italy’s history. After the war, he learned that his Queen Aigialeia was plotting to kill him and his men, and so decided to flee west, taking on the winter sea till he reached Southern Italy. It’s said that he founded the city of Brindisi.

I recall reading that during a duel with Hector the two of them resorted to hurling boulders at each other after their respective weapons broke.

Now give us: Antilochos (Prince of Pylos), Ajax the short (Prince of Locris, and likely the fastest after Achilles), Memnon king of Ethiopian, Idoemeneus king of Crete, Tlepolemus Son of Hercules and King who ruled (⅓ of) Rhodians and Asteropaeus, the dual wielding leader of the Paenonins who was equally strong in both hands and would dual wield weapons into battle and Philocetes, Thessalian Prince who killed Paris.
I see them making one for nestor of pylos and Idomeneus of crete and then the other dlc would Memnon of Aethiopia and Rhesus of thrace. Aswell as adding hermes as a new god
When will Memnon, king of Ethiopia, come out? Troy also needs a hero!

This is likely the last dlc for troy.
As the next dlc will be 3k, then WH2 then Warhammer 3 will be released

So Ajax will have heavy shielded units , and Diomedes will have Flankers swords and axes.
Maybe, add a Crete playable faction as well? Or maybe two, Greek Cretans, with Idomeneus, and Eteocretans, which are the Minoan remnants fighting for their survival.
i wonder if there is gone be an dlc contains the half brother of Ajax , Teucer the great archer , or Philoctetes the bowman who was carrying the bow of Hercules and with it killed Paris . Im happy for the arrival of Diomedes , for me is the best hero in Trojan war :D .

I wish the fact that Diomedes had guts to take on the gods and walked out of it was somewhat highlighted in his mechanics. Not sure how I feel about domination and paragon training instead.

mfw you're so OP that you are the youngest and most combat-experienced king of the Achaeans, almost killed Rome, went around fighting 3 gods (and wounding 2) in an afternoon, got a flamethrower shield, have the Goddess of wisdom, civilisation and strategy as your uber driver/platonic best friend and the only other armor forged by Hephaestus, equaled to Ajax in obtaining loot from funeral games, survived the Trojan War without pissing off too many gods or taking too long to go home, founded cities in Italy and STILL became a god by being given immortality after death.
And unlike Achilles, mortal to boot.
So this is the announcement they mentioned earlier this week? Pretty underwhelming for my taste
