The merc sounds awsome but .. i would still go with the audi
Mine would be The M5 and Merc. Audi is alright if you aren’t into handling and driving enjoyment.
I've had the same issue with my brakes when I did my first couple of laps at the nordschleife. Difference is that I did it in a 1999 mk1 focus. It was scary as hell when I had to turn into Fuchsröhre at 140kph. Still the best day of my life. Don't tell my kids🤫

The Mercedes-Benz AMG E63S is 186mph without the limiters
And also 4matic instead of this rwd one
I think the 186mph is still with a limiter. I've heard this E63 and the then E60 M5 would do 200mph without being limited
Why not compare estate/station wagon vs estate/station wagon.
Because there would be an even greater disparity to the Audi, the Merc is a great car but the RS series has always been the dogs danglies.
I would rather go with the E63

Where is the Jaguar XFR or bmw M5 or Lexus GSF
Since then, Merc has vastly improved....... Both are great cars, but I prefer Merc, I actually have a 2021 E63 AMG - - - - truly awesome machine (if you don't mind constantly shelling out for fuel and tyres that ain't cheap)........................ but then again, if you can't afford to run one, don't buy one

One things for sure though, the E63 is more common than RS6. Hard to refuse the muscle car vibe of the Merc.

@David Viner kinda late reply but its not just straight line only. It is generally more entertaining and fun drive than the RS6 that's why I said muscle car vibe.
Could you not get an E63 S Wagon with the 4 Matic drivetrain for a true comparison?
And the HP figures you provide seem a bit low, at least compared to what we get here in the USA. 591 HP for the Audi RS6 and 603 HP for the E63 S.

The s version E63 would have smoked this. This isn't even the s version of the w212 E63 with the lsd etc

We need tiff back. Jason is ok driving but tiff has way more balls. Sadly im going to stop watching fifth gear as protest. BOYCOTT FOR TIFF!!
This is the disappointing video. This is supposed to be a head-to-head challenge and the Mercedes is not an estate, they are using the sedan and that is not equal footing.

I've owned 6 Audi's and one Merc from new, not surprised at the result to be honest, I also own a BMW which drives better than the Audi
