I’ve been using that game bar for a few years now. It’s really nice, and is super useful. After getting the PSVR, the extra memory was needed, and the bar is well designed. I often forget that it’s not part of the original PS4
unforgiven ps4 doesn't support sata 3, only sata 2 so it won't take full advantage of a ssd. You can use ssd with pro because it support sata 3 but ssd is really not worth it

Heat causes the very power loss he 'huh' about with computers. That's why servers are kept in environmentally controlled rooms. Well with PCs yeah the GPU will clock higher when it's cooler and CPUs won't thermal throttle or on newer CPUs with the auto boost thingo it'll overclock it based on temps like a GPU. However I don't think temperature makes a difference with the PS4, yeah it'll last longer, but it can't improve performance that is locked anyway and doesn't have overclock capabilities. So technically he was right in saying that but the power loss isn't something I'm familiar with.
I consider myself a normal pc gamer. Sooo.... Me: Well console could be better for the money compared to pc if your only options are prebuilts and you can't build a pc and you don't mind paying hundreds more in the long run but less at first...
The Dongcoh actually is worth it. It makes the Ps4 a little louder at times. It can be annoying to set up if you're not familiar with this kinda stuff. The USB hub in theory seems worth it, but it doesnt always stay perfectly attached which means connection cuts in and out frequently.

no point in getting a ps4 pro, you can run games better on a similarly priced pc, but with full backwards compatibility. and 100% mod support on virtually any game. It's really a no contest, PC is the way to go if you want a full featured gaming experience

I think probably the reason why is because you may need that external HDD for outside use, and maybe you have enough money to get an internal hdd but not an external.
SSD's are very expensive and it took me one or two years before I upgraded to one. You could get a two or three TB HDD as opposed to a 500gb SSD for the same price. So go figure. Plus a PS4 won't notice much upgrade difference from the SSD since mainly computers benefit from the upgrade.
In the good old times the companies worked hard to create optimised games wich used few resources and took low memory size. Today... They create badly optimised games with countless content patches to try to fix their beta sold games that makes them bigger and bigger instead of fixing their mistakes from scratch, and to solve that they... Sell u a bigger storage. Progress is awesome :)

He probably just took it at two very different times. Unless he was running it for hours, the PS4 will have a insignificant effect on air temperature. However, the tempature difference should have been compared to abmient, not directly to each other. So if one was 49°C with an ambient of 23°C, that's 26° Delta. And the other was 50°C with 20° ambient. Thats 30° Delta. So the fans dropped it by 4°, not 1.
The intercoolers might make a difference on a stock PS4, but when you're adding on so many accessories which generate heat as well as increase the load on the processor (which causes it to generate more heat too.) It'd be hard for them to make a noticeable difference since those things aren't made for the "Ultimate PS4"...they're made for a normal stock one.

Someone should buy a ps4, take all the components out, and build a PC within the casing of the PS4. I know it's a pretty tight fit and you would need to do some additional mods for the IO shield and such, but it would be pretty cool to see a project like this done.
I remember when i had a gameboy pocket and fitted it with a magnifier, external speakers and a control overlay which gave me a joystick and futuristic style buttons. It was about twice the size of a standard gameboy when all finished and none of it was actually useful. BUT GADGETS! This reminds me of that.
a Console costs 400 dollars give or take. You pay 60 dollars a month for no reason at all and have to pay 60 bucks for every triple AAA games. Not only that but you are locked at 30 fps. I personally don't care about resolution. Now on the flip side you can build a 400 dollar PC and install windows 10 for free and get all your games cheaper, no bs payment to valve every month. Just playing games for the cost of the game only. Graphical options, mouse and keyboard or use a controller. Emulate console exclusives on a program like Xenia. Use a monitor or a TV your world of customization is endless. Just build a PC, not this ps4 "beast". And not all PC gamers are elitists. We really are open minded. Same with console gamers, you guys are mostly nice but like we have elitist you have peasants.

Well that's a pretty loaded comment. I own a Gaming PC and a Xbox one console. . . . so I can safely say this. Gaming on PC is great and what most people argue is that it is expensive. True, very true, however, I buy my parts one at a time. It takes longer to build but I could never save money as LIFE happens. I own a console now thanks to my friend that upgraded to the Xbox one slim. Got that fixed and attached it to another 24" monitor and some speakers. I was worried that I would have to pay money before I could play my Xbox one games... Nope, I don't pay a cent. True I cannot play my games online with other people, but I mostly play single player games and I can get my updates and patches easily from a jump drive. For some reason though, I still get achievements....oh well. Most people also argue about the FPS, I would be lying if I didn't say that I find the fps on console dips a lot more than my PC in some games, and that's where the heated arguments start. To solve that issue though, I only get the Xbox Games that are not on Pc ;-) hehehe.

PS4 can't take advantage of an SSD. It'll still be slow. Only worth it to bump it up to 7200rpm mechanical and save money.

I think probably the reason why is because you may need that external HDD for outside use, and maybe you have enough money to get an internal hdd but not an external.

SSD's are very expensive and it took me one or two years before I upgraded to one. You could get a two or three TB HDD as opposed to a 500gb SSD for the same price. So go figure. Plus a PS4 won't notice much upgrade difference from the SSD since mainly computers benefit from the upgrade.
In the good old times the companies worked hard to create optimised games wich used few resources and took low memory size. Today... They create badly optimised games with countless content patches to try to fix their beta sold games that makes them bigger and bigger instead of fixing their mistakes from scratch, and to solve that they... Sell u a bigger storage. Progress is awesome :)

He probably just took it at two very different times. Unless he was running it for hours, the PS4 will have a insignificant effect on air temperature. However, the tempature difference should have been compared to abmient, not directly to each other.
So if one was 49°C with an ambient of 23°C, that's 26° Delta. And the other was 50°C with 20° ambient. Thats 30° Delta. So the fans dropped it by 4°, not 1.

The intercoolers might make a difference on a stock PS4, but when you're adding on so many accessories which generate heat as well as increase the load on the processor (which causes it to generate more heat too.) It'd be hard for them to make a noticeable difference since those things aren't made for the "Ultimate PS4"...they're made for a normal stock one.

Someone should buy a ps4, take all the components out, and build a PC within the casing of the PS4. I know it's a pretty tight fit and you would need to do some additional mods for the IO shield and such, but it would be pretty cool to see a project like this done.

I remember when i had a gameboy pocket and fitted it with a magnifier, external speakers and a control overlay which gave me a joystick and futuristic style buttons. It was about twice the size of a standard gameboy when all finished and none of it was actually useful. BUT GADGETS!

a Console costs 400 dollars give or take. You pay 60 dollars a month for no reason at all and have to pay 60 bucks for every triple AAA games. Not only that but you are locked at 30 fps. I personally don't care about resolution. Now on the flip side you can build a 400 dollar PC and install windows 10 for free and get all your games cheaper, no bs payment to valve every month. Just playing games for the cost of the game only. Graphical options, mouse and keyboard or use a controller. Emulate console exclusives on a program like Xenia. Use a monitor or a TV your world of customization is endless. Just build a PC, not this ps4 "beast". And not all PC gamers are elitists. We really are open minded. Same with console gamers, you guys are mostly nice but like we have elitist you have peasants.

Well that's a pretty loaded comment. I own a Gaming PC and a Xbox one console. . . . so I can safely say this. Gaming on PC is great and what most people argue is that it is expensive. True, very true, however, I buy my parts one at a time. It takes longer to build but I could never save money as LIFE happens. I own a console now thanks to my friend that upgraded to the Xbox one slim. Got that fixed and attached it to another 24" monitor and some speakers. I was worried that I would have to pay money before I could play my Xbox one games... Nope, I don't pay a cent. True I cannot play my games online with other people, but I mostly play single player games and I can get my updates and patches easily from a jump drive. For some reason though, I still get achievements....oh well. Most people also argue about the FPS, I would be lying if I didn't say that I find the fps on console dips a lot more than my PC in some games, and that's where the heated arguments start. To solve that issue though, I only get the Xbox Games that are not on Pc ;-) hehehe.
