Thanks, Dhruv!!! I'm not using the exact same components for my 2.1, but great to see the overall layout. this clarifies so much. you are awesome, my friend.
Hello Sir, Nice video with good explanation, why did you mounted the signal cable of servo 1 and servo 2 in parallel? In case of a VTOL, the elevator signal cable 1 and cable 2 are also supposed to be in parallel?
slight confusion in one of your previous videos from 2017 you advise to remove the positive and negative wires from the RFD module connector when powering it from the bec here the connection appears to be different
Sorry there was another question too😁😁 where do you connect an analog airspeed sensor if you don't have a digital one? Or does pixhawk 2.1 only accepts digital speed sensor? Thanks again
sir a question, in the video you have 3 becs one for rfd one for the servos and one appears to be for the mauch module if i am not wrong, can you kindly confirm or elaborate please, and if yes any wiring diagram for it other than one on ardupilot page thanks
Excellent video and questions. I have a question please. I would like to use a Micro minim osd with take pxwk 2.1. But, how to connect to the board? I have Dragon linkv3 taking up most of the pins on Telem 2. Should I use Telem 1?
Hi Dhruv, very nice setup you got there, I'm about finish my mini talon with pixhawk 2.1 and dragonlink v3 slim. I have 2 questions if that's ok First I see you have only signal wire going into servo rail. on arduplane site ( general wiring recommendations) it says (THERE IS NO SETUP WHICH WOULDN’T REQUIRE SIGNAL GROUND TO BE CONNECTED) I'm not sure if that's for everything or just ESC wire! Second question:- if your plane is fully ready and powered via a battery, if you arm it and put it into RTL mode while it's still next you and hasn't moved, will the motor start? or the plane must be at a certain altitude or distance from where it aquired 3d lock before RTL starts to works? Thank you and keep well.
1) We recommend powering your servos via a separate bec. Do not recommend using the servo rail for power 2) Motor should not start but there will certainly be a twitch in the servos
Thank you Dhruv, you surprised me 😀, it took you a long time to respond but I guess you are a busy man! Hope you had a good Christmas and looking forward to 2019. Thank you my friend.
sir still confused about wiring the RFD in the video i can see you havent removed the vcc and ground wire from the telemetry cable/RFD cable so how will we power it up with a bec then because if its not removed we will be powering it with both the sources the bec and the pixhawk itself, kindly brief me on this & any other solution instead of the Mauch module, cant get my hands on one, something from bangood or aliexpress if possible?

Sir ; I have a rfd 900 radio and looked at the Manuel and it does not show the plus minus voltage . my cable is from left to right Black , brown , red , orange , yellow , and green. in your video I could not see your wiring of it , shrink wrap. If you could help me . Thank you sir

I got it all except for the BEC that is first on thepower line from battery , What does it do . I can not figure it out .. THANKS
hello dear sir! I have very impportant problem about APM 2.8 and Pixhawk 2.4.8 !!! I think that Only you can help me about my terrible problem. Because I lost 3 airplane which crashed reason of the these control board, At first I flyed very well with APM 2.8 three weeks ago. I changed the radio TX-Rx 500MA than the boards can not catched healty gps signals. Than I changed with old radio telemetry 100ma. But The boards lost own stability and fly capasity impossible to fly with Stabilizer and FWA after that in all exprience to fly crashed the models. * APM boards and Pixhawk boards. I watched you video that I started Manuel fly than changed Autune but unfortuantely the same results...Pleasehelp me because I do not wish change the control board...look forward your oppinion...best regards
Why is it not desirable to power the servo rail directly with 5V, then plug in the servos -/+/S to the power rail. You're powering them all directly from the BEC. You made a point of recommending the external power supply. . . why? Will it not work by plugging in a BEC to the Servo rail directly?
@@DhruvArora well yes, I understand this is your experience, which I definitely appreciate. I'm just asking why, as this isn't necessarily a typical installation. Why is it not recommended to plug the bec, as well as the servos, directly into the rail? The 2.1 is laid out with this in mind, no? I'm just trying to understand. I'm not suggesting your method is wrong. I think others can benefit from this knowledge as well.
@@austntexan the reason is that in case you attach a heavier servo which might draw more volts then what pixhawk 2.1 can give then there is a chance that pixhawk 2.1 will reboot. So to keep it safe and a standard for all servos its better to use an external power source.
@@DhruvArora Ah, ok. I'm still learning. It's definitely better to be safe than sorry, especially when you're way out of LOS. I always thought the servo rail was already isolated from the 2.1 through. Thanks for replying and explaining your process. Your videos have really helped me understand the 2.1 better!
Helped me out if given power to servo rail from a module your esc only use the single wire only thank you my friend your the best one on RUclips

thanks for your kind words :)
Nice video and schematics
Tons of valuable knowledge!!
so question. why cant we connect the servos directly to the pixhawk? do i have to connect the power separately?(i am a newbie)
Very nice. Keep up the good work.
Thank you

Nice video with good explanation,

this is explanation is for fixed wing only. Not for vtol

Follow this video if you are using pixhawk cube 2.1

Hello sir! Thank you for the videos. May I know how you mounted the board on the plane? Did you use Double Sided Tape?
hard mount with nylon screws
