Awesome! I really appreciate this! There isn’t really much detailed cube setup on RUclips. I’m setting up a hex and I’ve had a time with mission planner so any help is much appreciated!
Great Video and a super channel Lots of educational videos. I’m picking up my fixed wing hobby again, lots has changed over the years. I’m trying to find my way around the flight controllers, I’m missing some kind of overview of the different PixHawk, cube, Pix raptor, PixHack flight controllers. It would be nice to have such an overview video, highlighting the differences + what is the best for fixed wing hobbyists.
great content! hope to see even more pixhawk / arduplane content in the future, maybe even an updated pixhawk setup series? anyways, great channel, on of the best on youtube for sure!!!
Any plans for doing a Pixhawk/Herelink HD installation? I cannot get my head around using a controller with a spring loaded Throttle. The Herelink has been out since ~December, I’m really surprised none of the vendors, like 3DXR, have done a setup and flight with this exciting new controller.
Great! one cube mini with mini carrier board for me please :D It just does not feel right to me to keep using omnibus with APM :)) Thanks for posting that
I am having trouble finding the motor listing for the airbot mini board. Is it listed in with the servos ? The pinout diagram they show does not specify. The pinout seems to show the Aux 1-7 and rcin. Motor pins are in the corners but can't see them in mission planner.... Thanks
Hi Thanks for a great video! One thing..... I usually disable the compass on fixed wings, but here you are using it. What is the reason for using the compass on a fw?
Hi from the franch west indies! Great video! I am playing with arduplane chibios build too. Until now i flashed some matek f405 wing with arduplane (you should try this for some build) and put them in flite test diy plane. I ordered a mini carrier board from 3dxr website after the "pixhawk news video". I would like to do a plane for mapping too, but the transformer kit is just too ugly (LOL), is there another kit out there (100-400$) ?
Most of the things I’ve seen for mapping applications are ridiculously expensive. Check out 3DXR website, they sell a few. Best of luck and let me know if you find another inexpensive alternative
I have a pixhawk cube combined with the tbs crossfire rx and tx using the mavlink rc feature and i was wondering if there is a LUA Script i can use on my taranis for telemetry?
What frame is the quadricopter having the 2 green Multistar batteries placed on two sides? And the four units on the booms are perhaps one of the new T-Motor Arm Set (ESC/Motor/Carbon Folding Props integrated in one) 50-X, 60-X, 70-X series, as for example the 501-X?
@@claudiocosterni6488 Hi, its a custom frame that we will release once finished, the motors are the new T Motor arm sets, this uses the 601S 320 KV on 6S, there is built in Alpha 60A LV in the ARM with LEDs, the props are MF2009. I used the folding joint from an M600, this has a slight angle, i have done a test flight and for a big quad was very happy with its flight characteristics. Thank you
3DXR well, so it's just like I thought for those T-Motor combos. Few days ago they finally added them to their site. I have four 501-X KV360, received as preview 2 months ago, but without documentation/user manual and not yet mounted. Could you please help me? How/where connect the 3 flat cable connectors [black, red, white], [yellow] and [white, black]? I am about to mount them on a frame with DJI A2. About your interesting frame, M600 means DJI Matrice 600?
Watched numerous pixhawk videos.. but looks like it's not recommended for helicopters??? No Pixhawk 2.1 videos for helicopters..just drones and wings . HELP
Ben Wilkinson at 3DXR is a great guy, who is always willing to give you helpful advice, unlike many other UAV operators that I know of!
He sure is, a very knowledgable, helpful and patient chap! Buy from 3DXR and you get access to that experience.
Fantastic, Lee! Really interesting stuff!!! 😃
masha Allah ... an actual build ... thank you brother

Great video...many thanks! Quick question....did your friend calibrate the GPS indoors or as this just done for the video? Cheers✌️
All indoors but the compass will need calibration in the field before flying..
You don't calibrate the gps, but the secondary compass located in the here + gps
Thanks 😊 for all your hard work

Good idea for a video. This may help in the mean time.. ruclips.net/video/YAfNC55Udu0/видео.html

I’m waiting to get that system for my hex. It’s everything I’ve been waiting for and it’s really not that expensive if you consider its capabilities.
Check out the ‘Big Boys Toys’ playlist for a preview ;)
Thanks, fantastic video.
Great video ... very very interesting.
Fantastic. Do you have any new updates coming on this project?
Check out the latest Arduplane builds on the channel, they are all using the latest kit..
@@Painless360 thanks, I'll keep watching!

Hi
Thanks for a great video!
One thing..... I usually disable the compass on fixed wings, but here you are using it. What is the reason for using the compass on a fw?
Improved accuracy for things like mapping..

Luapilot? Let me know if you find another..
Do you like this wing better than the tbs caipirinha 2? I was actually curious if the cube would even be able to be fit into the tbs.
The TBS wing is beautiful. Both are good at different things as the Caipirinha II doesn’t have a downward facing camera..

Works fine in helis. You need a lot of space to fit it and be wary of excessive vibration..
