I’m half Asian and only interested in Asian men. However, due to kpop, many girls are after Asian (specifically Korean) men in a disrespectful manner. I have seen negative reactions due to this problem. Asian men are disgusted by this behavior and have said they are going to date their own race or Asian men take advantage of these girls. Just a few years ago, Asian men were the lowest rated race chosen on dating apps. In my opinion, it’s honestly annoying because guys are seriously suspicious now as they think they are just some sort of object.

I am just gonna randomly saying something after watching this video.... I am an international student from China and I came to the states last year. The reason that I want to work in nyc after my graduation is that I still believe America is a melting pot and I enjoy the diversity. I did not grow up in the states so I cannot speak for something that I have never experienced before, but I've heard about the lunch box moment and the identity crisis. I really sorry about that but I've always been proud of eating Chinese food growing up. I think Millenials are more open-minded and we are becoming the force that is shaping the world. So kudos to you guys and other minorities that are keeping bringing a positive impact to the world!

Listening to this while working. Lol but I definitely would like to hear you guys go more in depth about this topic. I always find it weird that society doesn’t recognize Asian men in general as hot or attractive especially if we’re supposed to be such a “melting pot” like you guys mentioned. I get wanting to have cultural similarities because of wanting someone who understands but when people say they don’t date so-and-so ethnicity, that just sounds either racist or self-loathing.
Love the vlog! I’m Malaysian and I’ve always dreamed of moving to New York one day! On a side note, I agree with the importance of being open minded and being able to listen more than to speak. Being open minded doesn’t necessarily mean to follow or agree with others, but just accepting people for their opinions? I’m also struggling with listening only especially when I have a strong stance, but I do see the beauty from it, and sometimes it’s surprises you and even challenges your own thoughts. It’s like the perks of being a wallflower. ☺️

Hi guys, big fan of your channel. Keep up the excellent (and relatable) content. Hoping for more song covers, perhaps a Christmas song or a duet next? Cheers, from Singapore :)
Just wanted to chime in about the openess thing. I am from Asia( from a quite a conservative country i would say.). and i have lived in a few cities around the world. I would say that openess only comes from exposure. ( Be it our upbringing, religion, media we watch, etc) There are deeply rooted in the way we perceive our surroundings, and forms our world view. We need to familiarise with the unfamiliar long enough to see it as normal. If you only see a certain kind of way to live your life your whole life, it's hard to imagine life in another way. Be it an unconventional lifestyle, career choice, etc. The thing about this kind of topic whenever i am home is, it's very hard to make ppl believe that other kind of life is possible, especially if they haven't experience other kinds of society. Not to say one is better than the other. But i agree that kpop have brought some overdue attention to the Asian population, and i am grateful for that. :)
great point about exposure leading to openness . what u say is one of the main reasons people enjoy travel - not just for leisure, but the refreshing points of views they get from seeing the unfamiliar . thanks for this comment!
I feel you! I really wanted to chip in when they were taking about dating and how their nationality and ethnicity may have influenced their mindset. I know mine influenced my decisions and mindset big time. 😁😅
I graduated from nursing school and been working in the casino for 8yrs now and watching you guys make me want to get back on track. I dont know why😅 Anyway, can we hear you guys talk in Korean?😘
My first celebrity crush as a kid was Mr. Sulu on the original Star Trek series. I also liked the main character on Vanishing Son, as well as Jin on LOST. When I found BTS and Korean solo artists, and K dramas, my dreams of eye candy came true. It's too bad I can't meet and connect genuinely and unconditionally in my real life with a kind, sincere, ambitious, family oriented and handsome Korean man.
I love immersing myself and gaining knowledge on different cultures and so forth. I am not Korean, but love the culture, beauty products, food, K-Pop, K-Drama and I can go on and on. I am a huge fan of BTS, I am sure they have paved a way for people to become more open-minded and appreciative of Korean culture and East Asian/SE Asian culture in general. But honestly, it is their positive impact and message through their speeches, voice, and music to the world that made me become a supporter and huge fan of theirs. For me, it is never about visuals, which is just a plus. Just like you guys, I had a strong gravitation towards you guys and your channel because you guys are authentic and real and I truly enjoy your influential, impactful, and deep discussions. :)
Very interesting topic!...Anywhere in the world if u come from a ethnic background u always feel left out no matter what u do .As John said u just look past it and live your life..well done kidos😍
I finally hit that Subscribe button ..though I have already watched a few other videos earlier! :-D From someone who has lived in North America and now back in Asia and happened to be in South Korea recently - I have friends who have the Korean American identity and observed the attitude and mindset- I can talk about it for hours ( Did a bit of research for my work too-coach/psychologist working in entertainment area here btw) Since am not in NYC now I cant see the changes directly but I would sure say the K-wave has had some impact on it for sure! As long its good enjoy the wave I guess - stay safe - Cheers!
This was a fascinating subject and it would be great if you could talk about it more. As someone who has mostly lived in Asia and then moved to Canada, culture shock was a big thing. It was less diverse and understanding of differences. Now things are a lot more open minded and diverse and people are genuinely more interested in Asia in general. I appreciate how kpop, kdramas and kbeauty has made it mainstream. Back in the days we just listened to artists and didn’t label them
definitely relatable point about other cultures being more receptive to learning about asia. we will certainly talk about it more . thanks for dropping your feedback juliana!

Also, highly recommend Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi!
very well stated Lori . interesting perspective you bring as someone who immigrated just 1 year ago. sounds like you are both proud of your culture and are making efforts to assimilate into a new one. props to you as well !!
Korean men aren't even liked in Korea by non Oriental women
Statistics from 2018
Korean men with Vietnamese was 6,338, Chinese women 3671, Thai at 1,560, 987 Japanese, 852 Filipinas, 567 American women, 0 Canadian or Australian women listed.
Korean women with 1489 Chinese men, 1439 American men, 402 Canadian men, 189 Australian men
Listening to this while working.
Ya'lls videos are getting better and better!❤
thankuuuuuuu the next one is gona be realllyyy good ahaha please stay tuned!!
"2+2= 5. That's the american hustle" sent me 😂
I love HOME!!
As always, I like how you guys bring up those deep conversations casually and must say you guys are so CUTE!
You guys have good discussions on your platform, obviously you have total different personalities and interests that’s what make it work!!!
The Korean food looks amazing!!

Yes JBROS Being open minded is important because we cannot assume for those ignorant people who don’t want to have understanding and compassion for others
One thing that sticks in my head, how your both laugh sounds, put a smile on my face ! Keep going Gents!
Jason you have such a fantastic mindset! I’m new to your guys’ channel and this is the third video I’ve seen.. and it’s obvious that you have a unique perspective that puts love, understanding and acceptance for everybody at the forefront - it’s really refreshing. I’ve subscribed. Wishing you guys all the best! On the road to 100K 🔥

You guys are always so authentic! Love u 2. Loved the music too! :-)

Ok guys, you won me over after 5 videos. This made me laugh and another interesting conversation shared. 👍🏽🙂
Yess Asian man are desired in the USA. Like the video.. I am more open minded now that I am older..
An Asian friend of mine in the US told us that in his dating app (he is gay) he sees a lot of “no Asians”. We aren’t talking decades ago. But several months ago. I didn’t know before then. Then I began to notice how Asian men are portrayed in American (western?) movies. I was shocked. I have so many things to say. Thanks for sharing NYC guys. It is my “spiritual home”, one I had to leave behind and it broke my heart to do so. NYC is the one that got away that I never be able to get over. Hope 2022 will be better for everyone.
petition for J Bro to make an asmr mukbang content🤩

I sure do love you both ❤
2+2=5 lol that’s hilarious🤣 I think being open-minded is important because I might miss out on something that would be good for me. I still have some things that I won’t negotiate but I’ll say I am more open-minded than not. Great video guys and that food looked soooo good! I may have to go there one day. Stay Safe and I watched y’all (to the end of the video lol). See Ya☺️
John.Jason 의 진솔한대화♡따뜻한영상 너무 좋았어요 😊 감동이였어~
This was the first video RUclips served me after a long, LONG work day. Listening to you guys is so soothing and relaxing. Thank you for all the videos you make, oppas ❤
I just absolutely love and enjoy your videos! And I’ll be honest that I came across your channel because I recently found kdramas and love them. I love how you both are sharing your perspectives and experiences. Growing up Asian 🇵🇭 American 🇺🇸, I spent some time in the Philippines and was automatically put in a certain category.
Korean men even in Korea aren't liked by the white women stationed there
These are 2018 statistics for Korea

Barely any cases of white women
camera focusing on john than the calamari tho, what beautiful view 😄 and i think being more open-minded is important as you grow up, you realized that you gotta unlearn and relearn even the thought you thought was already set in stone, to see that growth in yourself and others and positively influencing one another is quite the joy, guess “if you’re the smartest person in the room, you’re in the wrong room” is good advice, anywayyy hope to see you bros share the snowy winter in new york!
I was hoping you'd find one of those hot dog carts where they cook the hot dog-wrapped in bacon 😭, so good haha
the korean song at the end is so on point for the last topic. let's stay positive and caring as we are. 😊😊😊💕💕💕
Yay new video! Thank you guys for putting out such amazing content and for always putting a smile on my face! I appreciate you 💛
Love you too Jason...and John 🥰
You guys are getting funnier and sincere on discussion day by day. Sometimes it is hard to stop laughing though. Anyway your channel is so unique, interesting and educational in some ways?! So? I just 꾹!!! subscribed ^--^
Were you guys okay at the protest seems to be crazy over there 😳 At least the election is over and you guys have fun in the end 💙 Love you so much oppa John and Jason ✌🏻😊
It is easy for people to say that they are or believe that they are open minded, but it is another for them to actually put their open mindedness to practice when dealing with others who have opposing views.
Hi guys, big fan of your channel. Keep up the excellent (and relatable) content. Hoping for more song covers, perhaps a Christmas song or a duet next? Cheers, from Singapore :)
So great to have friends like the two of you guys
Love the deep conversations!! John you really like to ask the mind blowing questions lol Thanks guys for your hard work and video!

I love listening to your perspectives on topics not many people talk about/ are afraid to.
Love your deep talks! Felt like chiming in so many times to represent the Asian females in their 30s

Pretty Cool... Ya guys having interesting adventure's

Personality and character > looks but physicals def what attracts most people
Very interesting topic!...Anywhere in the world if u come from a ethnic background u always feel left out no matter what u do .As John said u just look past it and live your life..well done kidos😍

From someone who has lived in North America and now back in Asia and happened to be in South Korea recently - I have friends who have the Korean American identity and observed the attitude and mindset- I can talk about it for hours ( Did a bit of research for my work too-coach/psychologist working in entertainment area here btw) Since am not in NYC now I cant see the changes directly but I would sure say the K-wave has had some impact on it for sure! As long its good enjoy the wave I guess - stay safe - Cheers!

That's the best way to look at it... Don't be a complainer. You don't need hundreds of fan girls just one special person ♥️♥️♥️
Yay you uploaded again!!!
You guys are great. Love ya
Love the scenic background of the "#art" .😱😬🥰 luv ya guys.. 100% subscribed.. 💪♥️
Even in Korea, the white women who live there don't dare Korean men
Statistics from marriages in 2018
Korean men with Vietnamese was 6,338, Chinese women 3671, Thai at 1,560, 987 Japanese, 852 Filipinas, 567 American women, 0 Canadian or Australian women listed.
