Can you add the link you mentioned at 1:20, the Hans Zimmer video with the moogs? Thanks!
Hi Bernd S. All of the mentioned links have been added.
Thx! -_Daniel_
I'm not sure we can get behringer here in Canada. I'm 8n Toronto. And there seems to be a delay with the stores.
Just an excellent video. SUPER helpful as always!
absolutely awesome !
Great video. Simple, easy to follow and not overblown with filler!
Awesome, thanks Daniel! The System 55, or the 960 sequencer is/are now on my must have list. I’d buy the thing just to try and replicate your sequence and try some other sounds I know the old Moog could do. Like plucked synth acoustic guitar or strings, muted synth horns, analog marimba, vibes or piano, or whatever. Maybe mix it up. That 55 has a lot of oscillators and filters and stuff. O yeh!
Another block of knowledge for me, keep them coming! Great video, thanks for sharing 🤘
This is great. Still trying to wrap my brain around everything in the system 55. The sequencer is very cool and it’s so fun to make chord sequences like this. And there are still a bunch of oscillators left if you want to make a lead patch to play from a keyboard while the sequence is running.
I could not agree more. Still in the early stages but my initial thinking is to have two or three oscilators dedicated to the 960 then who knows what with the rest.
Really great presentation and I will use your approach for setting sequences from now on!
Daniel, you're awesome my man!
This is so good. Thank you. Will be picking up one of these
Fantastic video! 👍🏽
Amazing sounds! Really want to play around with one
Brilliant share!!!
Nice, Daniel
Great !!
Thx!
I have a sudden urge to play Metroid.
When you started out on that big Moog system 42 years ago, it must have been really intimidating for a kindergartner!
Aw Shucks... Nope, I was 18 at the time 👴🏼

1:20 I think we're missing the link :)
Corrected. Thanks! -_Daniel_

So, yer saying you make electronic chords like you were using a fretless guitar? Doing it by ear, and from scratch. Nice.
How many other synth gurus online cut their teeth on a Moog modular, and have the programming chops to prove it?
can i sequence drums with?
Guess something similar could be done with a non-modular synth and a Korg SQ-1 sequencer. Not that I've used one, I went with the SQ-64 instead partly for the keyboard entry vs knob. Interesting approach, though.
Hi Cysubtor. Although you *can* create sequences via keyboard input, you won't be able to create unique tunings per note, per chord, like you can with a CV Sequencer. -_Daniel_
How can you skip steps in only one row (not all 3)?
Can I buy the brackets and the cases separately? I might buy one case then add the second case later. ❤
Daniel is using two Behringer Go racks here. As you can see a standard, full system 55 would require 3 racks of 3U. You can buy those separately from many suppliers, or make them yourself using bare racks and mount those in an enclosure. Ikea has many cheap but nice cupboards that amazingly fit standard bare euroracks.
Eurorack novice here. I have the 960 sequencer as well as the Crave. Is it possible to connect the two? If not, what is the minimum setup I need to play around with the 960? Regards.
Yeah, you can connect them since they both use Euro-rack compatible voltages and gates, as well as compatible connectors. The Crave however does not fit inside a Euro-rack however because it is higher than 3U. Just hoping the Spice wlll become available soon, and that Behringer will have a two or three tier encasing to hold them.
@@agerven I'm trying to emulate those warm Tangerine Dream bass sequences one hears on Phaedra and Rubycon. The Crave may not be the best solution.
I believe this is the Hans Zimmer video mentioned at 1:13. ruclips.net/video/NdG5dEfAcxQ/видео.html
