Very helpful. Thank you! My order of the Behringer Rack 19" will arrive soon, so this was a great intro.
That's great! And thank you!
I like rackmount as well. 👍👍👍
So much tidier!
@@krsTBedfordStudios I hate desktops.
Thanks for the name-check Pete 👍 Looking forward to hearing this gear in all its glory.
Thanks for the inspiration, had great fun playing with this type of sequencer..!!
@@krsTBedfordStudios They're amazing units.
@@resonantanvil7186 I'm certainly very happy with the system-55 offering from Beh...!
wow such a cool one! amazing unboxing darling :)
Thank you Layila..! If only I had your confidence on camera! I hope that you're well my friend x
Great video! I will also test Behringer in the eurorack. Best regards!
Hey Mario, thanks mate, yeah it goes well... those 19" cases are just great value with the psu included!
Hi. Nice video. Do you know if it's possible to put both devices into the eurorack go case?
Hey, yes, absolutely. With plenty of HP to spare..!
I like the un-boxing Video..u know i'm a fan of that..Thanks buddy...
Hey Reggie, thanks mate, had youtube suggest one of your videos earlier!! I was looking at O&C
Geepers you guys have been hit hard by this postal crap. Enjoyed the video Pete!
The delays are frustrating Ranz but to be expected I guess... but the additional charges were kept hidden until the goods had been paid for and shipped which I thought was a bit off... it isn't until after checkout that you get notified how much duty to expect, and even then they gave it as a percentage, so on my £250 order they told me to expect a 20% vat charge, so 50 quid... which is what I'd have expected really, but then ups sent me a bill for £70 not 50 before they'd release my package for further transit... suddenly my £250 purchase was now costing £320, which is a different ballpark when just casually buying gear. It's certainly made me rethink some spending habits!
Hey krs-T that's it now for us in the UK import tax will knock any deals out of the park. I am waiting for a diy module to arrive that cost €15 lets see how much that costs me in the end. Anyway great to see what you got here and the 960 is something I have my eye on.
This ended up costing me an extra £70 on a £250 purchase Chob, would be interesting to see what your charge is on that module kit, keep me posted!
I still haven't had chance to play with the 960, today is the day though!
Wow. I am jealous!.
I am still watching; but might have a few questions for you later.
So the rack mount rack has built in power. I assume that is universal for all eurorack gear? Or at least the Behringer 100 series modules.
I am thinking of just getting the 110 module and wanted to know the basic minimum requirements to actually get it operational. Then I can patch it in to my Moog M32.
@@robguitarwizard hey Rob, the Behringer shipped with the power module already installed, it is fairly universal yes and should be fine for whatever you need!
Hi very nice, please my friend, where can I buy Behringer 960 and Eurorack ? Eurorack has the power to the Behringer 960 right ? I´m from Brasil and here there isn´t any.
Hi there, I bought the 960 etc from Thomann in Germany and they shipped to the UK for me. I hope this helps?
Please my friend, 960 has sound inside or need to another synth ? 962 Switch is for what ? What about CP3A-M ? Ah, just listen to Magnum Opus - Sinestesia
The 960 is a sequencer, it needs an oscillator adding to make sound. The 962 can be used to change the 960, and the CP3M is a mixer module. None of these will make sound on their own I'm afraid!
Watching now Pete. This looks exciting.....! Oooh, just heard my name!
Haha!! All your fault Steve!!
Pleased to have had a positive influence in your journey! Would like to see the M-VS1 mounted alongside the others, if only because I have one as you know. Regarding that sticky buzz you're getting, I get the same from my Big Skys. Performance appears unaffected but if it gets worse I could always fry my eggs on them and save washing up a frying pan.
That rack does look the business Pete and great to see the M-VS1 did get selected. These modules are surely going to open up a whole set of sounds and rhythms and I'll be watching with interest.
I have a few bits which do it too... Korg KP3 is one of them, just feels like the chassis' aren't earthed properly... lol
The only problem with keeping the M-VS1 in the rack is that now I feel like I need a CV-Midi module 😉
This mixer is really necessary to use with 960 ?
Not at all!
Cool my friend 19inch rack to :) and yes i had the same prob with my gear from Thomann 4weeks arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and god knows what they was tracking lol
I know its a bit of a first world problem, but I just felt like once I'd paid and they'd started shipping that ups literally held my gear to ransom... have you got yours yet Daren?? They really need a UK agent...!! Lol
Nice one! Looking forward to hearing it. Brexit has put me off buying from the EU anymore, it’s a right pain in the proverbial
It's made me feel the same unfortunately Dan! I've spent the day with it, finally making something which could be construed as music after spending the first hour wondering why I don't just go back to a BSP..! Lol
I've been thinking of the Behringer rack too and would be mounting it in a similar way. Is there any concern with exposed rear? Are the circuit boards etc on the modules safe? Do the power cables hang out very much? Thanks
Hey... yeah, the ribbons seem to have a fair amount of surplus so do hang out of the back quite a lot..! I'd considered taping them up to minimise them a bit... having it open backed isn't ideal, im thinking of building it into a bookcase or similar..? Its low voltage dc so don't think it's too fatal but wouldn't like to find out the hard way! Especially not where cats or kids fingers are concerned... keeping it out of reach when turned is my thinking so far, and it's easy enough to pull the plug out when not in use... I'm not overly concerned, but still aware it could be a problem, but I'm guessing it's the same +/- 5Vdc that you're going to find on the end of a patch cable??? Accidentally shorting out a module is probably the biggest danger??
@@krsTBedfordStudios thanks for the info... i dont imagine anything sticks out past the "feet"? A person might be able to clip some kind of plate/board across
@@chesterdesmond666 pretty easily I should think? Looking at it in profile there's not much that sticks out beyond the 19" rack really?? Other than about 6" of extra ribbon... if half of this case wasn't taken up by the 960 then using the extra plugs on a series of smaller modules might take it up neater..? You're right, it should be easy to cover up with a board or sheet of some kind?
Waited 8 months for a Thomann order...NEVER again!
Oh wow..! Thats bad..!! I just got screwed by Gear4Music too though lol They said they had rack ears in stock in the UK so I ordered a couple of pairs from them, 2 weeks later on their due date they messaged to say they were having supplier issues, this was two months ago now and still no rack ears...
Opens the box and inside is a.............. pork pie. Jelly won’t be runny after waiting that long
Are you driving for UPS now...??? 😉
