- In this last chapter, we head out for a day hoping for some more BIG Browns on Cicadas... The fish eventually came on the feed but could i manage to garner enough luck find that sometimes elusive success?

Another super quality video. Mike is one of the best Flyfishing guides of NZ, together with Alex Waller.
I like the way Mike is nymphing. No indicator! I hate indicators, almost never use them (only in real deep pools). Notice at minute 3 how he get his trout online. That, ladies and gentlemen, is superb flyfishing skills.
It wasn't Mike but his buddy, but anyway, excellent fishing.

What a day for fly fishing! Great scenery, blue skies and a crystal clear river. What more could you want! Tom took a lot on himself crossing the river. But what wouldn't you do for such a big brown trout? And for me as an amateur, it's a little reassuring when professionals can also lose fish😉😉. Mike, another great film.

Cheers! generally speaking we use 5wts and 18-22ft leaders. Guideline is the gear we now use and its all superb!
