    Thanks Mike for such a beautiful and enjoyable gift. I have only caught 15 fish greater than the magic 10 lb mark. 14 of those, at Jurassic Lake in Patagonia - so ... really only a single fish (a brown) at 12 lbs in NZ (near to the Lewis Pass). Your work really inspires me to do better. Backpack out this summer methinks .... best wishes and thank you again. PS: I would love to spend a few days in your company, if you are accepting new/more clients. I have never used the services of a guide ... but you make the idea seem more palatable. Cheers.

      Thanks so much John for the kind words and certainly big browns have a way of drawing you to the water like moths to a flame. Let me know if you want any guiding as early as you can as I'm booked up a wee distance ahead these days. I'd love to help out in furthering your journey.

    Blue sky, sunshine, great scenery and crystal clear turquoise water. What more could you want? With the dry fly on the hunt for the spotted. I would have loved to have such a river. Great Mike and thumbs up👍👍.

      It was a 5wt Guideline rod called an NT8. The new version of it is the NT11 which is superb

    Awesome again mate , wonder if adding the nymph after a refusal just pulls the big dry down in the surface a little improving its profile in that fast water . Your videos make a cold Tassie winter just that bit warmer thanks

    • @mikefsher
      @mikefsher Год назад

      Could be... Can also hold the drift a little, or they lift to look at the nymph and closer to the dry to make it worthwhile... I aint a fish so will be blissfully happy not knowing. 🙂
