Where I drive it is heavy rush hour traffic just like the clip shown here and there are always a couple of A holes that drive down ramps or along the shoulder etc just to get 3 car lengths ahead. Fuc$k em I don't let them in either. It is the same as cutting the line if you are standing in line to get groceries or fast food. You wouldn't let people cut the line there so why let them be a pr$ick and cut the line in traffic. They are selfish self centered a holes that think their time is more important then everyone else around them (the sad thing is a lot of these A holes cause accidents that not only slow them down but create massive backlogs and delays for everyone else).

      @philsanderson7024 22 дня назад +14

      This is also precisely why when the lane next to you is going zero, you'd better be going no more than 20. Either somebody is gonna shoot across traffic like that, or a person in the "stop" lane will decide they like your "go" lane much better and make a blind move over. That should be a red alert traffic situation, while the cammer seemed like they were just bopping along to the music and were in no way ready for a surprise.

    A lot of the first few clips need to learn and implement defensive driving. It’s clearly not their fault in any of these cases, but could still be avoided. #4 is one of the most common highway scenarios where people are merging, you could stay behind the car that had their blinker on and let them move over. And #5 and #3 are very similar-not technically the uploaders fault but they should still look to exercise more caution around trucks especially when they’re pulling out. They have to make wide turns because THEYRE TRUCKS! Just because they end up in the second lane doesn’t mean they don’t want to be in the right lane for a nearby turn. So just give them more room and take a moment to see what they do before trying to pass.

      You are right my friend. I’m a claims adjuster for GEICO and to be honest we might have done 50/50 or 60/40. Yes, the other driver was being stupid and tried to cut traffic, but the cammer took zero steps to avoid the accident when they had plenty of time to do so and struck a stationary vehicle. For example, if I park my car right behind your parked car, making it impossible to back out, you can’t hit my car so you can now leave even tho I’m parked illegally. Cammer could have slowed down, moved over, etc even tho it’s annoying to let those type of jackasses in. In the end, the cammer trying his best to not let the driver in led in partial to the accident occurring.

    • @Yobagoyaz
      @Yobagoyaz 21 день назад

      It is, the left lane is from another highway merging on to this interstate. Where the offending vehicle crossed over is a solid line to move 2 or 3 cars up in a line of traffic.

    • @Sn0trocket
      @Sn0trocket 21 день назад

      @@Yobagoyaz By "solid line", do you mean the lane markings? I can see that the lane marking for the joining traffic to the left is solid, but the lane markings for the the lane in between the joining traffic and the cammer that the white vehicle pulled into to jump ahead appear to be dashed, as in the rear view at 2:49 and then that lane appears to merge with the cammer's just before the joining traffic.

    • @Yobagoyaz
      @Yobagoyaz 21 день назад +1

      It's really hard to see it, but at the beginning you can see all the traffic coming in from the top left. The lane the truck jumps in is from another highway, that traffic is coming from the middle right, not a lot of cars come from that highway, but there is a solid white line lane markings closing off that left lane. There are really 3 highways merging into this interstate. When looking in the cammers rearview, the far right lane is another highway or interstate merging on this interstate. It looks like that left lane is there and open, but it's meant to be as an on ramp for the merging traffic. Maybe the truck crosses when the line is dashed, but it's still a dick move to move up a couple of cars.

    Here's a controversial question.
    Do dashcams cause accidents? Take #8. Who in their right minds would keep moving forward when it's 100% certain that you're about to have a collision? Does uploading a clip that you think showcases another driver's stupidity make up for the expense and hassle of dealing with insurance and car repairs? Defending "YOUR lane" at all cost is not normal behavior.

      @@Kill3rT0fuuu "How else are they to learn?"
      Um... I gotta wonder, what makes ANYONE think their purpose in this world is to educate bad drivers? What makes ANYONE think that someone else will "learn a lesson"?
      As an educator, I am actually employed to teach kids things. But there's no way to teach anyone who doesn't have an open to learning attitude, and believing that anyone else on the road is going to "learn a lesson" is ludicrous at best, farcical normally.
      Bullies learn lessons specifically never. There is a reason they are bullies. We have a cat who has been a bully ever since I moved in with my dad. She was defeated as a bully by a cat we got in the pandemic. We opened up the cat carrier and Saucy popped out, and the bully roared up to establish dominance. But unfortunately for her our new girl, Saucy, has barely two viable brain cells, and wouldn't recognize negative intentions if they smacked her in the face. (which the bully cat actually did).... she just blinked and repeated her original kitty comment. "Well hi there!" and the bully cat didn't know how to respond to any cat who didn't recognize her dominance.
      So, therefore, the only way to teach a bully anything on the road is by utterly zero attention. Give 'em what they crave, they flourish.... like a troll.

    99% of these could be avoided by simply having situational awareness. People just don't anticipate anything. If a car is next to you and there is a gap in front of you, leave it there, don't try to speed up and close it. A lane is ending and a car is there, assume they're going to merge into your lane. Someone has a turn signal on and there is room in front of you, don't speed up and prevent them from changing lanes. If a large vehicle or a truck pulling a trailer turns ahead of you, don't assume which lane they're going to turn into and fly past on the right. Check your mirrors often, including what's behind you. If you're going too slow in a passing lane, get out of the way and let faster traffic pass. Don't pass other vehicles, especially large trucks going 1 mph faster than them. You pass quickly to stay out of blind spots. This whole stand your ground garbage just doesn't make sense.

      They signaled right when they started their turn though. He wasn't trying to illegally pass are you blind? He avoided the bike, then avoided the fool turning with no advanced warning. Cammer should have definitely held back and maintained a following distance though.

      False, the car in-front didn't start signalling until right before the turn. Your supposed to signal at-least 30m before the turn or 150m if your going 60+.
      The person signalled like 10m before the turn at best.
      If they had signalled at the proper 30m mark the car following behind would've seen the turn signal before trying to evade the dude on the bike and would've had time to just slow down instead of trying to evade the biker who swerved in-front of him partially.
