Yes I always love this song being half white an half cherokee myself my mother brought me up to love everyone but I lived in the country my whole life I never was around racism not even on the reservation when visiting my grandparents I feel blessed for that it's heartbreaking to see the hate so people have for others just because there a different color haters gonna hate lovers gonna love I'm shure will be with are own in the after life haters Will be with haters an those of us who love all are brothers and sisters will be together 🙏

I grew up in Brooklyn NY in an apt...we had an alley and a side st.on the side of apt...and I wanted a horse too to walk that street and alley way when I was 6...lol. Cher is great and I think think a very good person...🌻

My sister is just plain ”white” and she married a full Hawaiian islander guy and their children are the most beautiful mixture. We are ALL mutts, and anyone who believes that their race alone makes them better than someone else is ALREADY lesser for believing that. EVERYBODY KNOWS that what being a good person, wherever you sprung from, is what matters. Even if some idiots are going to judge you for your heritage.

This song was banned on the reservation of my grandfather, and still is. Cher does not have one ounce of Native American blood in her. Also, Native American women do not wear headdresses, ever. To parade around in a made up Native American costume singing about the plights of being part Native American is considered a mockery. It certainly isn't the term "half breed". It's the false way the Native American is being portrayed. I'm hoping that our world has progressed in the knowledge of knowing how wrong this is and why. This song should be taken off of RUclips.

In any case I wouldn't get too hung up about the outfit. Non Scots have put on kilts and fake horrible accents to parody Scotish culture for - forever. The same with vikings/Nords, Irish, middle easterns etc etc etc......
The only difference is she's not making fun of American Indians. She's simply relating a story in song.
