I’m a retired meteorologist, but still active pilot. Nowadays I just analyze and forecast the weather for myself and friends. But I want to let you know that this is one of the best videos I’ve seen for aviation weather, both in description and explanation. Nicely done.
Thank you so much, and thanks for watching!
Jason you are the man! Just passed my IR checkride last week and I can’t thank you enough for your videos...They help out more then you’ll ever know! I used your oral prep audio book for my ppl and IR and passed with no problem! I’m excited to start my commercial training after Christmas and I’m shooting to take that checkride on my 18th birthday! Keep being a Stud!!!👊🏼
Congratulations on the IR checkride pass. We are so happy that we have helped you through this journey. Good luck going forward. You know where to find us.
Hi Jason, I am your friend and PPL alumnus Jason Simpson. This excellent video has inspired me to jump back on the M0A train so that I can finally wrap up my IFR rating. I’ll be seeing you at the mock checkrides!
Excellent! Looking forward to seeing you there!
You're the best Jason! Thank you for taking the time to make these awesome educational videos for us! Very helpful

*I'm retesting for my instrument checkride (after failing the first time) and your videos always are the best! Helped me all throughout my Private, thank you Jason!*

Really great summary of weather ☁️. You mentioned new ground school. I'm evaluating IFR online ground schools now and your content is certainly in the running!! Thanks Jason ,

Glad that you liked it.
Thank you for this video. I’m hitting the books hard for my instrument ticket. I should have gotten it years ago but better late than never.
Happy to help! Good luck, and thanks for watching!
Your friendly proofreader here, only because I'd love to say I helped polish things for you a little bit -- The Nimbus slide reads Numbus.
"Numbus = Precipitation Clouds"
Also check the spelling of condensation on the mountain fog slide
Well, they say proofreading is always more effective _after_ publication.
Thanks for the feedback!
Thank U,,, Keep posting...
Thanks for watching!
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Please add this video to the Weather Theory section of the PPL online ground school.

Good luck! You've got this!
Really good information there.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Great Jason thank you!
Thanks for watching!
I got my instrument rating a year ago.......... and haven't found the perfect IFR day to use it! LOL. My personal IFR minimums are VFR conditions. LOL
If you can't find a "perfect" day to do use it. Take an instructor or another pilot that you know that is more proficient than you and fly that "perfect" day. You need to get up there and experience real IMC, but do it safely.
Condensation is misspelled on the Upslope Fog slide.
Thanks for the feedback, good catch!
At 10:22 into the video you have Nimbus spelled Numbus on the slide. Don't know if you've fixed that yet.
Thanks for the feedback!
L and H's in the northern hemisphere only of course.
Good point!
As a pilot do you want to remain alive? If so never fly in bad weather. If there's a thunderstorm along your route or at your destination don't fly. You may be instrument rated but unless you fly on instruments as often as an airline pilot you don't have the skills you think you have.
Good perspective, thanks for sharing! Certainly wise to have a set of hard set personal minimums, in any stage of learning and flying. Smart go/no-go decisions are a must when it comes to weather.
