This video is really really informative to the point where it's actually entertaining! I looked at the high pressure and low pressure areas and looked at them like gears or screws in a supercharger moving the air along. Now I see how the winds aloft are generated and how you can take advantage of a deviation to get there faster! So cool! Thank you!
What a vividly explanatory Weather seminar. I wish I could be on his class for this part most boring and hard to understanding section out of all the other aviation topic, He made far more interesting and even funny. Great very talented instructor.
Lovely video content! Excuse me for the intrusion, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you heard the talk about - Rozardner Flying Bird Reality (search on google)? It is an awesome one of a kind product for how to get pilot license minus the headache. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my old buddy Taylor after many years got amazing success with it.
what a presentation even six years later. This was very very helpful. I wish you my instructor. THANK YOU MAN. I REALIZED MY DREAMS TO JOIN FLIGHT SCHOOL AND I AM NOT GOING TO GIVE UP EVEN IF IT SEEMS DIFFICULT.
As a student pilot, I found this to be invaluable! Weather is one of those things that was difficult to wrap my head around. Thank you so much for making it clear and easier to understand!
Watching this in Dec 2020 listening to the ADS-B conversation, thinking back with nostalgia about the 'before-times' when receiving traffic and weather info digitally was the most of our concerns...
I'm glad that individual asked the question about how high humidity equals lower air density. I didn't realize that water vapor is lighter than air! Knowing that makes more sense now.
Thank you Jon for your incredibly clear teaching! It has helped me more than anything else! I got my ticket in 1969 and now I am finally getting the overall weather picture from you. Thank you so much. Dean
Great video easy explanations to follow. The flight services part really helped me know what to look at while receiving the information. The understanding of high and low pressures, and their characteristics really helped me. Definitely helped the confidence level in understanding basic weather trends. I highly recommend this video.
Was in ATC school and learned aviation weather from a book (not helpful at all). Thanks to your video I’m actually starting to connect the dots and makes sense of things.
@@WalterAviationInc Found this prepping for IFR checkride and it helped tremendously, now prepping for Commercial checkride tomorrow and found my way back, thank you!
This is a great video. Very informational. As a former Air Traffic Controller you are absolutely right about the controllers are there to ensure your safety and there to help. If someone isn’t comfortable with talking to ATC practice practice practice because nothing is scarier for a Controller and other pilots around when someone comes into an airspace that isn’t familiar with using the radio or just fails to make simple radio calls.
Learned so much from this. as a low hour Recreational VFR pilot in Australia....Not all applies to the Land down under. However the basics really helped. Thanks.
excellent video. i am getting back into flying after several years and finally working towards my private pilot ticket. i have had prior training before and this brought back the knowledge of many lessons. this will help save money in the long run.
Thank you. I do have a question. I am considering signing up for a Private Pilot ground school course and a local community college and then start my flight training in the Summer of 2017. Do recommend that students walk into flight training with the written completed and passed. Can you do a video on the pros and cons of doing this or perhaps provide any feedback? Thanks
Great idea for a video, and until we make that video, our recommendation is to definitely get your written test passed as soon as possible. Not only will you have a working knowledge of the terms, components, and systems, but as you begin your actual flying your rate of learning will be much higher. We recommend this to all of our applicants.
Great! Thank you for that quick response. I figured that but what better way than to ask a professional in the industry. Have a great evening and thanks again
