This was the BEST video on WX I’ve ever seen, it’s a 2 hour presentation in 20 minutes! I’ll watch this before every checkride, thank you!
Thanks Chris! I appreciate that!
I second this.
Agreed. This was more informative and digestible than my entire weather lecture in ground school!
Same here
As a PPL student, I've watched a ton of weather videos, but this one takes the cake! It's hands down the best video I've come across for the PPL level, and it's really helped me out.
In just 30 minutes, it condensed the five x two-hour metrology classes we had into one concise and easy-to-understand 30-minute video. It is a total game-changer!
Thanks! I appreciate that!
I was an aviation weather forecaster for the US Air Force for 8 years. Can confirm that this is an absolutely excellent explanation. Wish I'd had this years ago. 😅
Thanks man! That means a lot!
Ah yess if only they’d have helpful videos like this at the wx school house at Keesler.
Hands down the best video on Weather. So simple and straight to the point. Great job, thank you so much!
Thank you! That means a lot!
*I am not a pilot nor a meteorologist, but this video made perfect sense. Well done. Fantastic.*
Thanks! That means a lot!
I've been flying for 25 years. One of the best short videos on weather I've seen!
Thanks Peter! That means a lot
Gee, in less than 30 minutes you summarized my entire course in meteorology. Brilliant! I had a few gaps of knowledge, for example the occluded front vs stationary front, that weren't well covered before. It is simpler than I imagined, I was just missing a few fundamentals. It's too bad weather news has degenerated into people reading the weather report with no idea what it means.
Awesome! I’m so glad you found this helpful! I’ve got to make things as simple as possible, otherwise I won’t understand it either lol
Yes he did I like how breaks down my lessons from hours. To sample
Your videos are by far the most informative that I have seen anywhere. Thanks so much for making it soooo easy to understand and use.
Thank you! I really appreciate that! You’re welcome!
I am currently in my CFI training and honestly never liked weather through all my training. This is by far the best explanation that breaks it down so easily that I find it fun to watch. Now I’m motivated to even learn a lot more where weather is concerned. Thank you for taking the time out to Give this great easy to understand explanation.
You’re welcome! I’m so glad you got value out of this video. It’s funny, I’m kinda dumb so I have to make things as simple as possible in order to teach them and I have found that I still learn a lot in the process of making these videos. Thank you so much for watching! I’ll see you in the next one!
same here , can't believe how little I actually know.. time to learn
Best video about meteo on RUclips I’ve seen for last 3 years since started my education. THANK YOU SO MUCH☺️
That means a lot! Thank you!
Thanks for the insightful information, well put together.
Love your channel. Easy and very informative without wasting time! Thank you 🙏🏻
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that comment!
Thanks so much for all the work you do with your videos. They are awesome! You do such a great job explaining along with all of your visual aids. You are much appreciated!
Thank you so much! See you in the next one!
Great overview; thanks for all the effort in producing and posting this clip.
You’re welcome! So glad you found it useful
Wonderful! Best video on weather for pilots! Thank you for creating it!
You’re welcome! I appreciate that!
So excited. Finally a video that summarizes everything in a way that makes sense.
Thanks! I hated learning about weather. I wanted to fix that
Fantastic video! Thank you for the effort to put this together, every second was a gold mine of information!
Thanks Phillip! I appreciate that!
Thanks so much for this page. Because of this page, I passed my checkride today! I went though the Kings course and it really didn’t help me with alot of the complicated stuff. These videos are much more helpful than any of the reading or other videos I watched. I always instantly looked for videos from this page when I needed help with a topic and they were here!
Keep up the good work buddy. It’s really rewarding to see other pilots in here taking advantage of this page and succeeding too.
I definitely plan to use this as a additional resource someday for students I may have
You’re very welcome! I’m so glad I could help! Congrats on passing! Huge accomplishment!
Second this!
Probably the best comprehensive private pilot review on weather. Excellent. Thank you.
Thank you! I appreciate that!
One of the best pilot instruction videos I’ve ever scene! Thank you
Thank you so much!
This is probably the best video on this subject. Thank you!
Thank you so much! It’s a tough subject, so I wanted to make it as detailed as possible
Thanks a million for that video. Learning weather is like learning a New language in my mind. It definitely doesn’t come natural to me so therefore I get frustrated. How you broke this video down was so user friendly. I can’t thank you enough!!!
You’re welcome Colin! Thanks for commenting and letting me know that it helped you. I just had a buddy who watched it just before his checkride and was surprised how much it helped in the oral. I don’t hear a lot about weather questions on the oral, so that was a pretty good surprise. Thanks again for watching and I’ll see you in the next one!
Excellent summary; major forces clearly explained!! Good work.
Thanks David!
thanks for putting this together, it's a big man who reaches down to help others up
You’re welcome! That means a lot
ATP pilot checking in, was looking for refreshers and happened upon your video. Great job!
Thank you!
I have watched and read lots of weather content for ground training, and this is the best explanation I have had so far. Thank you for all the videos, keep up the great work.
Thanks Keith! That means a lot!
Can’t express how much this helped me. This section of ground schools was tough to connect all the information and you made it extremely easy to understand! Thank you
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!
The more I watch and listen the more I learn! Great explanation!
Thank you so much!
Great summary on weather systems & aviation! I’ve watched the video multiple times & still learning! Thank you for such great content!
Thank you! I really appreciate this comment!
Im studying for my CFI ride coming up and watching your videos easily break down all these topics that I'll having to be teaching so hearing you explain it so simply really helps me out! Thank you and ill be recomending all my students to your channel!
Thank you so much Clay! I appreciate that!
He is such a good teacher, this is wonderful to understand, big thanks.

Thanks Carol! I appreciate that!
Great video and explanations, thanks for putting this together. Several hours of ground school (or normal school) condensed into 30mins, well done.
Thanks! I appreciate that! Thanks for watching!
This video is absolutely incredible. I’ll watch it recurrently for the next foreseeable future! Thank you for this, and fly safe!
Thank you so much! That means a lot!

Thanks Rob! That mean a lot!
I'm so glad that I'm watching this as a reference. what a great work !!
Thank you!
One of the best video I have ever seen. I can not thank you enough for this simplest explanation.
You’re welcome! Thank you so much for the compliment
This is a great video! I had a college course in weather and this video is literally the same stuff just condensed. As a pilot wannabe these types of videos explaining the basics in very simple ways is a blessing! A lot of other videos on the internet used jargon and just assume you know a lot of the material. Your contents amazing please keep it up!
Thank you so much! Will do!
Wonderful! Qualitative AND quantitative.
Thanks John!
By far the best weather video out there !!!
Thank you so much!
You are really good at what you do. Thank you for making your videos. I’m going to have to watch this one a couple of times but really well done.
Thank you so much! I appreciate that!
Great presentation and wonderfully explained with a narrative as good as the slides that accompany it. I recommended this clip to my son to help him grasp an otherwise, often confusing, but necessary subject matter for flying safely and efficiently.
Thank you! That means a lot!
This was amazing. Thank you, great content. I feel like i finally understand weather concepts on a deeper level.
You’re welcome!
i appreciate your time so much, thank you
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching
Only wx video that makes me really understand!!!weather is always my weakness but watching this gives me confident!
Awesome! So glad you found it useful!
Happy birthday Air Force!
Thanks for this video, this pretty much summed up my first week of the aviation weather course, very helpful!
You’re welcome!
FANTASTIC Video ! Very very well done - thank you !
Thank you! I appreciate that!
I have been following this channel for a couple of years, and I have watched this weather video while preparing for the Private written test, preparing for stage checks, and now preparing for the Private Checkride. I HIGHLY recommend the content that the USAF officer is making available to the aviation community.
Thanks Paul! That means a lot!
This comes in clutch right before exam, thanks!
You’re welcome!
This is great! I have no choice but to say a deep thank you for that content
Thanks Max!

Leave it to an Okie to give a perfect breakdown of the weather! Great video, and so very helpful!
😂 we do have the worst weather! Lol thanks!
Thank you for bringing back my knowledge left in the filing cabinet!!
😆 you’re welcome!
This is a great refresher. Especially since I got my license in Southern California where the weather isn't very dynamic. I didn't have much experience or a very good understanding of convective weather or fronts early on in my flying career.
Great video.
Thank you so much
Studying for dispatch here, some of my unanswered questions about lapse rates answered! Thank you!
You’re welcome Sam. Thanks for watching
This video is helping me understand things with so much ease!! I have it on repeat! Thank you so much!

Awesome! So glad I could help!
Amazing video! Thanks for your hard work!
Thanks for that!
Your channel is so cool I have watched your video student real flying for a while, i was really impressed with your tuition in life events, but your ground school videos are superb.. I learned all of this the hard way back in the early 90's. So informative for new students, very well done ✔ 👏 👏 👏
Thank you! I appreciate that! I really enjoy making these videos
@@FreePilotTraining I had to stop flying nearly 20 hours in due to looking after my children, I was pretty close to going solo and the flying bug is still very much there recapping on your videos makes it that bit more painful, but it's making me want to carry on again at last! Brilliant work ❤
tysm for this video!! SO helpful!!
You’re welcome!
Amazing video ever!! It is really simple and easy to understand. I had a hard time to understand and memorize all the weather and fronts part. Watching this video, I totally understand what it means now! I really appreciate it! I will come back to watch it again😊
Thanks! I appreciate that!
Amazing video thanks for all the info

Better than Sporty’s Private Pilot ground weather lesson! Great job dumbing it down for laymen like me!

awesome presentation!! thank you very much
Thank you so much!
Meteorologist here. A great basic weather tutorial. I always have great conversations about METARs, and other weather phenomena (like Coriolis, Hadley Cell, orographic lifting, types of clouds, microbursts, etc) when I come across pilots, marine people, etc. Remember: in high pressure situations, the air is sinking so because it is moving to higher pressure near the surface, it generally heats up. Imagine going from a room with a few people to full of people (high pressure-->lots of molecules)--it will feel warmer. In low pressure situations, warmer air at the surface rises and cools--and droplets form.
The cool thing about #weather is that you can simulate this in normal everyday situations.
For example: Put a warm coke can in the fridge and after a few minutes, you'll see the water vapor on the outside (#condensation ). Condensation is a heating process for the environment-->in the case of the coke, the heat from the warm coke is moving to the outside environment creating the droplets on the outside (heating the air around it). To the contrary, #evaporation is a cooling process for the environment--like when you get out of the shower and you feel cold (#evaporativeCooling ) Enjoy the lessons!
Awesome! Thanks for the comment! It’s cool to hear from a real meteorologist
@@FreePilotTraining 🙏🏾🤝🏾. Keep up the good work!
