Nice one! This is a great channel. I have to tear apart all four brakes on my 1959 soon, no MOT (or tax) exemptions in NZ. Sorting some panel and paint work before the winter weather kicks in first.
I have only recently discovered your channel after recently acquiring an older vehicle (Dolomite 1850) and tinkering with distributor / carbs / timing, drum brakes etc etc. Thoroughly enjoy the relaxed presentation, excellent editing, good humour, and I have been catching up with all the content. I love the Morris 1000. My dad got a second hand one (a brown G reg) in 1981 when I was about 8 years old, and I enjoyed watching him tinker with that and fill in all the rust holes with filler(!). I love the sound of the engine, and would love to get hold of one at some point. The Austin van looks excellent.
Always after adjusting brakes center the shoes by pressing foot pedal at a moderate amount , then check again for loose /binding with drum on of course lol.
Thanks for watching, shoes weren’t too bad… the way I drive one good run round would have erased any sign of a de-glaze anyway! I did check the wheel cylinders, but I don’t think I filmed pulling the rubber boots back to check for leaks. Thanks for the feedback!
How can you not subscribe to this channel. Have always liked a good sense of humour with a dose of intellect and knowledge. Thank you.
Thats very kind! thank you for watching and subscribing

Just tight enough. Indeed, in Swedish we say lagom. Not too much, not too little.

I thought you would have deglazed the shoes and checked the wheel cylinders to make sure there were no leaks.

You are a cross between John Bindon and Ade Edmonson.
Not heard that comparison before….. But I like it!
