Watch it a few more times , and you will find it actually the opposite. 2 officers were let down by one who kept tasing (drive stun). Which is pain compliance, you can see his arms go back, but the officer keeps drive stunning causing the suspect to get angrier and fight back.

This is actually incredible, I've seen plenty of videos of people tanking a taser. But this guy tanked 2 taser, 2 sprays, tackle and finally it took the 3rd AND 4th tasers at the same time while fighting 3 other grown ass men just to get him down, and that still wasnt successful. During the LA riots in California all of the police officers had to carry the Beretta 9 mm. The press portrayed the police as bloodthirsty killers because "why did they shoot my boy 12 times?" Was a common complaint. The true answer to that was " because the first 11 rounds didn't stop him." The officers protecting our film crew chose survival over blind obedience and got there "real guns" (with stopping power). The sheer raw power of this poor man illustrates why so many rounds are discharged so often. Their critics learn everything they know from TV shows were you simply shoot the gun out of his hand or politicians say "why didn't you just shoot him in the leg?" (not realizing legs have large arteries). And I'm sure it's just a coincidence that the Korean store owners who brought heavy weapons onto the roofs of their businesses we're not burned out.

As someone who has personally experienced oc spray as I am military police as it’s a requirement for my training I am genuinely shocked as to how he just shrugged it off it for me and my fellow soldiers was the worst thing we went through in our training and I would rather go through the gas chamber in basic with no gas mask than get oc’d again

Did a little research on the guy. Apparently dude's been losing his shit for a few months now. His wife and he were estranged for a while, but recently (June of this year) she took their kids to get them away from him, presumably they felt unsafe around him. The trespass warrant was actually due to him refusing to leave a police station after being told to do so several times by one of the officers there after he became belligerent and aggressive. After the shooting, the cops also found nearly 400 marijuana plants, which in Florida is a big no no.

My son is a sheriff and had the same thing happened earlier this year. They were called out by family members that said there brother had a knife and threatening them and saying he was going to hurt himself, my son and another officer tried for 45 minutes to talk him out and he finally came out into the garage with the knife, they kept asking him to drop it and come out so they could get him some help. My son was approx 40' fron the rollup door when it started to go up, they could somewhat see him behind some boxes and they kept attempting to talk him into dropping it and coming out. There were two cars in the driveway with a gap of approx 12' between them, my son had backed away onto the sidewalk and the other officer was closer to the garage but behind one of the cars with a less then lethal shotgun when the guy came out focused on my son and pointing the knife at him, the other officer started shooting him with the bean bags hitting him three or four time and he just kept advancing towards my son who finally shot him. All you out there that think all these cops want is an excuse to shoot you are way off base, this really affected my son, it took him some time to move on, he is still dealing with it but is much better after getting some counseling. These men and women don't get paid

Hey Donut, this happened in my home town. Native born Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte, FL. I’m a triage EMT at the local ER and when this went down the radios lit up. Everyone was talking about it. Pretty wild, but eh it was out on the green mile. Not surprised.

He's clearly on something though so there is no fight it in court. I feel like once you figure out the o. C spray is not going to work and bean bags will not work. You need to call in more people. I'm not against the officer decided to do, but I feel like if they would have backed off of him and called in. Reinforcements, this could have ended a lot different.

@@Raxarion use the freaking training you were given. A. A gun doesn’t magically come out of the holster, so it can’t just be snatched up. Holsters have multiple forms of retention on them which make it very difficult to remove a firearm without defeating those first.
B. A 4th officer was on the scene at the shooting portion. I don’t care how big the guy is, if 4 cops can’t go hand to hand with an unarmed guy, then something is totally wrong.

Last time i had a guy on this level, he didnt get out of restraints for hours, and no mental facilty would take him due to his violence. So we had to all file charges so he could go to jail.
