Great video. Been peeking at using Gelato myself for printing wall art. Looking at the wooden frame poster products now it seems your dinted issue might be resolved. Product description mentions that both the print and frame are packaged separately and then put into a single larger package. Fingers crossed this issue is resolved at all their fullfilment locations after possibly receiving several complaints. Quote from product page: "Difference between Ready-to-hang and Not assembled framed posters Ready-to-hang: posters are placed within frames upon arrival. Your customers can hang it directly onto the wall when receiving it. Not assembled: posters and frames come as two items packaged separately within one package. Your customers need to assemble it."

Hey I have a question! Did your image file include the white borders? Or do you have an option to add them on gelato's website? Or are they added automatically?
How bizarre that I search online specifically for a comparison of these two Gelato paper stocks, and you uploaded this today. Thanks! I did a test-run of the museum and premium papers months ago, and remember finding the off-whiteness of the museum paper a little too strong (I felt like it dulled the colours). It was definitely noticeable vs the premium, so maybe they've changed it. Or maybe it varies per region (I ordered within EU). If you found them almost identical, I assume you have no preference?
How odd, there was no difference in color at all, not even slightly. I think they might have just used another stock for my order that was 250gsm, because the only difference between the two was the thickness. I would just go with premium to be honest. Once it's mounted and on the wall, the paper thickness doesn't really matter.
@@timb4888 I’m not a big fan of Printify. If the quality of Gelato is good for you I strongly recommend them. I’ve only ever had positive experiences with their customer support and API, and their prices are fair. I personally no longer use them as I need giclee printing (I now use Prodigi, which is a but more expensive).

You used images from the artist Instagram, right? Those don't come print ready, it helps that they are vector-like, but they look excellent! What was the process you went through to get them "ready"? online upscale, photoshop dpi, ppi, jpg, png, pdf... thank you for sharing :)
I mean sure, it only takes a few seconds to put it in the frame though. Apparently they are going to be adding an option for them to come pre-framed. But I assume it will be at a cost.

Good find! I had another sample order suffer the same issue, but this was in mid December 2022. I do hope they've fixed it!

Trying to decide between Gelato (US) vs Printify using a company called Sensaria for US orders not sure which would be better

They certainly should! I've since ordered a few more print and frame samples, and they all arrived the same.

I added that in myself.
What’s the size of the white border on your prints?
So the print is 30x30cm and the border is about 2.5cm.
