600 bucks cheap camper, but the memories that you and Troy are gonna make are priceless. The stories him and you can tell his kids then he can tell his grandkids just keeps your memory alive. Part of leaving your legacy around for a few more generations. That my friend is priceless.
Hey Kurt love the new truck camper I’m excited to see this new camping content I like everything that has to do with rv’s/camping stay safe and happy camping
My great Uncle had one, I don’t know if it was used for camping, but we used it in the fields for hauling like well everything lol 😂 I remember me and my sisters playing in it, it was fun. Your eyes lite up right after you got it, you look so happy about it and I am glad that you are going to get so many memories with it.. 😊👍 honestly, I believe that you go from “a dork” to “ a cool looking dork “ 😂😁🦮🐕🦺🦮❄️⛄️😎😎
Welcome to the slide in pop up life. You will love it. Be careful with the cranks and gears on that style. I keep an 8’ Alaskan pop up in my dually most of the time. Enjoy!!!
I lived almost 2 years in a slide out camper on the back of my pickup back in the 80s. But mine was not a pop up. mine had the bathroom and all. but still, it was cold in the winter. at times you could scrape ice off the inside of the windows. lol and the propane I went through running the furnace was unreal.
.Keep Up With Speedy - In the early 70's I lived in my small home-built camper for six months in Edmonton, Canada while driving for Kleysen Transport. In the winter I used an electric heater which I plugged in behind the shop. For a shower I used the Husky truck stop where you could get a shower, a towel and a bar of soap for $1.00. I had a cooler for perishables and cooked on a Coleman stove. I also had a Coleman lantern for light. For ventilation I would crack open a side window and the roof vent a bit so as not to get asphyxiated while sleeping. lol
That looks like a great buy Kurt! Campers like that sell for at least twice that much out west here. A little paint, spit and polish and you're good to go! Enjoy.
That was a great buy im excited to watch the new adventures with the new camper ! I said it before and ill say it again this is my favorite channel and i think you get better with each one 👍.
I’m really impressed that camper is rather cool what’s lovely as well is the fact you can still tow that caravan of yours that adds it’s own uniqueness because it gives you and warden your own personal space
That's what you need it when you go camping. It might look old but it still looks good. That is a good investment. Got more room to do things with when you go camping. I'm glad that you're happy
Nice camper and a nice price you and little Bud will really enjoy it and you will have a lot of fun with it and it looks good on the truck.Good buy kurt
I bought a full size truck camper for my diesel pickup.. unfortunately the day before I went to pick it up we had a bad windstorm and it got dropped off it's jacks.. put I stuck it back together and have used it twice.. still got to fix the bathroom (the black water tank broke when it fell) but it'll get done
You won't even know it is on there! If you don't have solar I went with portable, bluetti Max, and upgraded the house battery to a 12v/300ah chins smart. Had to ad a dc-dc charger but well worth the effort. solar panels plug into the bluetti, camper plugs into the bluetti, and everything is happy. End of the day you can take everything you bought with you if you sell it. Great set up.
Duluth in winter is a real Treat, cold an snow can make life miserable, used to go through there on the way to Baudette to make Deliveries , baby it's cold up there
The truck camper is cool. Being older it is probably better built than the new ones. I am going to tell you though you never have enough storage in ANY camper lol. I hope you and family enjoy it a lot. Havagudun and stay warm.
Another great video. I love the camper. It is the right size and scale, and it doesn’t clash with the aesthetic of your pickup. It also has to make you feel much more confident when you set out on a journey.
Wow, I was just skipping around in this video, and was thinking, wait a minute, that looks like St. Peter. I was confused, and thought there was no way. Then you mentioned you didn’t know where you were, but you didn’t think it was Mankato yet. Small world haha. Love the camper.
They are already ice fishing in northern Minnesota. You could have brought Bud with you and caught some Walters. Fried walleye in the new pop up camper sounds tasty.
I have to say I do love the small towns in Iowa when I was driving truck I would come from Bellville Ontario, Canada to West Branch Iowa drop my trailer then bob tail the back roads to Iowa city to pick up my load and head back home that is all I got to see of Iowa. Keep up the great work Kurt and incase I don't get a chance Merry Christmas to you and your family.
KURT .Man you did good... 6 bills..now you can camp in style..a little fixing up its gonna be good..and you have the right Truck for it..that pick up ain't even straining a bit with that thing on there..and it looks great..
Had essentially the same setup. 08 350 crew dally on 35x12.50 tires. Also had a camper shell but after opted for a Skamper slide in pop up. Loading it in the truck was a challenge. The truck is now converted to 4 wheel on 37” tires and the dually bed has been swapped for a service bed.
We went from a Okanagan 811-SL years ago. To a 41ft 5th wheel. Bad ideal and 7 years later talked my wife back into a truck camper. We now have a 2016 Eagle Cap 1200. Man so much room. Triple slides and a Ca king bed, 2 flat screens 2 recliners and well everything to travel the country in. But its a load on my Dually at 7000 lbs. Then a 20 ft boat behind it.
Wow you drove thru Spencer and Estherville Iowa. We have been there many times to see relatives that lived there. Hubby's family were from Spirit Lake.
I don't like I35 either! I live here in the suburbs south of Minneapolis and I try my best to find ways around 35 everywhere I go in central Minnesota. You;ll love Duluth, btw.
Cambridge to St.francis you had to have driven right past my house. I see there's a Hilltop sticker on the back, I worked there for 10 years. It does look good 👍
I can definitely tell you you'd like duluth in winter especially if you can get up and catch a sunrise down by the lake or at the overlook up on the hill to over look duluth and the harbor
Hi Kurt☺️ I'm Gil's wife and I just wanted to jump in here and say what a lovely purchase you got! Now all you you need is your lovely wife's touch. A little window treatments and maybe a cozy runner on the floor in the middle which always makes a nice touch and warms up your chilly toes. A couple of nice throws and Kurt, you're good to go!! A woman's touch goes a L O N G W A Y my friend. Just be Safe and Healthy, First and Foremost!! Happy Camping and Much More!! ☺️❤️
I have a 2018 F-350 dually 6.7 similar to yours, wondering if there’s much impact on fuel economy with a pop up truck camper. I wanna travel to Montana from Maine to see my grandkids
I have a similar one (same brand name as in this video) that I’m about to list also for $600. Probably around the same age- maybe a newer model because it has a toilet.🚽 Overall better condition. If interested, let me know (I’m in Pensacola, Fl btw.)
Hey man I know you are going to have a blast in your truck camper we have one and travel trailer love the truck camper just as much as the travel trailer, enjoy your trucking videos also enjoy your new toy you got until next time be safe out there and keep it between the white line's ex driver !
600 bucks cheap camper, but the memories that you and Troy are gonna make are priceless. The stories him and you can tell his kids then he can tell his grandkids just keeps your memory alive. Part of leaving your legacy around for a few more generations. That my friend is priceless.
I'm so jealous! You guys are going to have a ball with that camper. Perfect design! Great deal, too!
"I was 2 yrs. Old when this car came out"
This statement resonates with my soul.
Bought yourself an early Christmas present. That’s awesome hope you enjoy it.
Hey Kurt love the new truck camper I’m excited to see this new camping content I like everything that has to do with rv’s/camping stay safe and happy camping
It looks like it has been made just for your truck. I like it too.
Those sunsets out there on the plains are so great. Especially this time of year. Thanks for posting them
My uncle had one when I was a kid we used for fishing and hunting trips I miss those days. The 80s was great before so much technology.
Trucking With Ole Snapper - You got that right!
Heck of a deal, Kurt. Well worth the money. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
My great Uncle had one, I don’t know if it was used for camping, but we used it in the fields for hauling like well everything lol 😂 I remember me and my sisters playing in it, it was fun.

Lol a cool dork. I like it.
Trucking and camping, they both sound good to me. Live your best life and make great memories with your family.
Nice purchase Kurt my man... Just remember to plz crack the roof vent a smidge when running your heater so you dont die in your sleep
Awesome camper...you will love using it. Congrats.
Cool camper. Come on up to Duluth right now you will see a lot of ice in the lake and shivering people. Still a cool place though. Take care
Welcome to the slide in pop up life. You will love it. Be careful with the cranks and gears on that style. I keep an 8’ Alaskan pop up in my dually most of the time.
Enjoy!!!
It’s Nice you can still tow your camper with it on so you and Warden can have your own private Condo!
Darn straight lol
Or a spot to get in when you need a place to hide
@@patbromwell8701 - lol.
Awesome, Awesome, can't wait for more camper updates.
Amazing as always. God bless you
I am happy for you, the look on your face is like a little kid on Christmas morning. Can't wait for the first camping videos.
Looks great! Nice Purchase! Only suggestion that I'd have is to put a Carbon Monoxide alarm in there as a safety precaution.
Lyle Coney - Good idea.
Those are so nice and hard to find these days in decent shape. You got a deal and it's a nice looking rig too. Stay safe and God bless.
Thanks Heather
so next year will be a goose neck and saddle on the pickup and a 40' expando camper with satellite tv and a hottub :)
Lol
Tommy Apel - lmao.

Old school camper love it reminds me of my childhood
That’s a cool set up ya got there Kurt, congratulations
I airbagged the rears on my one ton hotshot trucks and made it to where they could air down when empty so it would smooth the ride out
Good idea
The new camper looks pretty slick. More room for you and the dogs. Couldn't go wrong for the price.
Schmidt you absolutely crack me up!
That looks like a great buy Kurt! Campers like that sell for at least twice that much out west here. A little paint, spit and polish and you're good to go! Enjoy.
For about 50 bucks you could put snap wood floors in. Makes a difference
Congratulations on your lucky find !
I like seeing the small towns, America!
My friend you are glowing!
Nice score Kurt yes it has great possibilities..one thought check the roof they make a good roof plastic you brush it on...looks. nuce👍🇺🇲
Ur camper looks really cool the heater will b great when it's cold
Now you need the airbag that goes between the cab and a camper to get better fuel mileage
That was a great buy im excited to watch the new adventures with the new camper ! I said it before and ill say it again this is my favorite channel and i think you get better with each one 👍.
Thank you
What makes it interesting is it's not just about trucking. It's about a truckers life on and off the road.
I’m really impressed that camper is rather cool what’s lovely as well is the fact you can still tow that caravan of yours that adds it’s own uniqueness because it gives you and warden your own personal space
