  • Resin is such a fun substrate to work with, but PLEASE if you are sensitive at all wear protective gear! This resin is zero VOC but some are very sensitive and can have respiratory issues. PLEASE USE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS!!
    KS resins mailing address is CO. I think i said in the video that they are based out of Florida, but maybe that is just wishful thinking LOL.
    This is a resin swipe. I did not have the kS RESIN base tints at the time of the video (but they are on their way now, I cant wait!). I think that i will get more lacing and cells when i get my base tints in! I think i misspoke in the video and said that base tints are always transparent and that is NOT always true!
    Artist til death are a great resource for resin. I am just starting out and learning all the things to do with resin, so bear with me as i learn too!
    I used arteza paints, casting craft, alcohol inks, and primary element pigments. DONT FORGET TO CHECK OUT THE END OF THE VIDEO FOR HOW I MIXED THE COLORS! KS resin IS MY NEW FAVORITE RESIN. Fluid art comes in many forms and resin art is one of them. The options are endless with resin!

    KS resin is a great resin that offers free shipping in the US!! It is heat resistant up to 475 degrees F, cures in 7 days!!!!! and has a 30-45 min working time. Mixture is 1 to 1. Beautiful Molly! Resin is such a great product to work with. The color combo is fantastic. Don't worry about the burning, always fixable. (if I could count the number of times I did....not enough zeros!!) I find all your work truly fantastic and your videos are always informative, fun, and then a lot of beauty! There is another resin artist you might want to check her work out. (I laughed like crazy, it was like watching you! 2 Molly's!) Her name is Monica Barnes, also on RUclips. Thanks for mentioning the amount of paint that can be added. Something I was not aware of the 1st time I did a resin painting, I had cups of resin boiling in the cups! I freaked, my partner ran in with a fire extinguisher, what a mess! (anytime I start working now, he gets the extinguisher out! I wonder why...) Still did not understand what happened, blamed the resin of course, the 2nd time, I was OH NO YOU DON'T! Trying to pour it on the canvas, clumps falling out of the cup, heat gun blasting heat, trying to mash the clumps. Didn't work, but learned something. It was a great way to add texture to the piece. Pallet knifes, and formed long mounds up the side. After that dried, I did a 2nd pour on it. OMG! A hard way to add texture, but a great look. Sorry this is so long, impossible for me to write a short message. Your are lucky, I talk like I type!

    • @MOLLYSARTISTRY
      @MOLLYSARTISTRY  2 года назад +1

      The torch pops air bubbles and assist in creating cells
      In most of my blow dryer techniques i use amsterdam brand acrylic paint and water, ratio of about 40% - 50% water.
      My other favorite paint brands are creative inspirations by jerrys artarama, arteza, winsor and newton
      You can create cells like this from density or by mixing different brands of thin paint or adding a metallic. Each of the paint brands reacts differently. I like the effect of Amsterdam paints mixed with creative inspirations brand or soho brand metallics.
