I felt a bit lightheaded when you were spray painting. Then I noticed I was holding my breath so I didn’t breathe the fumes in. That about describes my whole day. I love how this turned out but you haven’t done anything I don’t love that I have seen so far. Now I watch and wait for gorgeous to happen. I have an art room full of things waiting to be resined. So many there is no room left to paint. I have a terrible fear of resin, I wear all of my safety gear. The whole time the mask is on I panic and the fear is getting out of proportion. I love resin and working with it or I did. I am always so careful and I don’t think my PTSD is helping. Thank you. ❤️
Spray painting outdoors was a bit breezy and I was holding my breath at times. Pick one easy project to resin. Plan what you want to do, and how you need to do it. Think happy thoughts whenever you are preparing the project and stay positive. Little by little and you can do it. I believe in you Karen 👍🏻😁
@@MoonkusserArt, thank you and you are right. I am looking at as doing them all at once and they just get bigger. I have the one I want to do. It was painted for my sister and her husband but he passed away the day before I got there 6 months ago. I had to bring it back to fix the resin where it pulled back from a couple of edges and spots. I forgot to clean my fingers off it with alcohol first. She asked me about it last time I spoke to her and I would love to give it back finished now. ❤️
Beautiful. Would that bamboo be too thick to turn this into a wall clock if you wanted to Janet? I've envisaged this on my wall as a clock 😍. Equally as gorgeous as a Lazy Susan and what a great idea too. There are so many uses for resin, it's incredible! 🥰.
I don't think the bamboo would be to heavy. It would just need a secure method of hanging. You would also want to look into the size limits for the clock mechanisms that you could use.
@@deborahol There are many different clock shaft lengths. Available inlots of Google searches. Hobby Lobby. I bot a bunch of them from Temu. Heap a d seem to work well. very beautifull! congratulations! I would like one of these times to see a beautiful resin painting in white, black, silver and crystals, in your hands it would be a masterpiece. bye Bye!
Love what you have done to the lazy Susan it turn out spectacular and the colours and lacing are stunning your a fabulous artist and you definitely inspire me to try things always love your videos your a great teacher thank you so much for sharing 😊xx
It would seem as though a layer of gesso, followed by a layer of white acrylic paint would be easier than having to go outside to spray paint. At least weather wouldn’t have to be a factor.
Wow! This looks like so much fun to do! You're very good at explaining every thing, as well. I hope to someday have space to do this type of work :) ! Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful 😍😍. Love the lacing effects, too. I imagine you will be able to sell this very easily if you do sell your art. I'm in the uk, so don't have the same products as you, but I have similar pigments/ pastes that give me the same effects. I discovered last year that I was going to be making lots of ocean stuff. I did 6 pieces as an experiment and all sold very quickly. This year has been crazy, as soon as ocean pieces go to the shops they're gone, sometimes the same day 😂😂. I want to do geodes and designs like your lazy susan, but no time at present. Hopefully, when demand for ocean slows down next month I can make them. Rather sick of ocean pieces now 😂😂.
Super vidéo J’ai voulu faire un plateau rond , mais le dessin ne me plaît pas Peut-on refaire par dessus un autre dessin ? Mais faut-il refaire avant une couche de couleur foncé ou on peut mettre directement sur le dessin ? Merci beaucoup 😘

Yes you can use acrylic paint to color resin. Be careful though. The acrylic paint is water based and you should not add more then 10% paint to the resin. It can accelerate to thermal reaction of the resin and cause it to get hot and ruin the batch.
It depends on the resin you use. A thick consistency of resin will use more than a thinner one. This lazy susan is 16" and I used 12oz of a very thick resin. Hope that helps.
That looks amazing😮🎉❤

@Moonkusser Art Yeh that's a point, didn't think about the mechanism depth.

Thanks 😁 That's the magic I love from resin ❤️.
So beautiful. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. Think I’ll give this one a try!

I like spray paint because it dries smoother and adhere well.

Nice job. What store did youfind that?
If I remember correctly, it was Home Goods

Thank you Tazmin 🌊 Ocean work in resin is popular. The resin makes for a beautiful method to create waves. Sounds like you are doing well with it 👍🏻
That’s beautiful. Where did you get the hardware
Thanks. In the beginning of the video I show unwrapping it and removing the hardware. It was already on it.
The answer is most likely “no” but can you use lacquer spray paint as the base coat?
I would give that a try. Anything that can seal the wood and be completely dry should work.

Je vaporiserais de la peinture au premier essai. Une fois qu'il est sec, vous pouvez faire une autre coulée. Merci d'avoir regardé.
So can you tell me a list of products and tools ? Thanks for a great video

Cute 🥰!
Did you mix all the colors with resin before pouring or just the gold?
Thanks 😁 All color is in resin.
It’s so beautiful….what do you charge for a lazy Susan?
Thanks. I had some in a local store and they sold for $100 USD
what would you charge for something like this? its so pretty
Depends on the size of the lazy susan. This one sold for $75
I would love to have one of your lazy Susan’s. How do I get one?
I am currently sold out. Hope to do another soon 😁
@@MoonkusserArt please let me know
How much resin for 12” lazy susan
It depends on the resin you use. A thick consistency of resin will use more than a thinner one. This lazy susan is 16" and I used 12oz of a very thick resin. Hope that helps.
Absolutely gorgeous!!!
Thank you so much Cecila 💕
