    i started to watch your content around 2 years ago maybe more. i was housebound for 4 years, even bedbound for a total of about a year with anxiety. it was so brutal i cant begin to describe. i read one of your books, i took in all of your content. it was so helpful and wonderful so i want to thank you so very much. i'm now working with an occupational therapist and i'm leaving the house now. the anxiety is not as powerful anymore. i am finding true healing, true change. i never felt like a warrior, now i do. i am grateful for these last 5 years because i found God in the struggle, i found sobriety in the struggle (10 months sober today) i am forever changed. i will literally never ever be the same again due to the trauma and this is a good thing because who i was before, was not a very decent person anyway. i was full of rage, vengeful, envious, cruel, abusive. who i was died somewhere along the line and i was reborn. truly. anxiety did that. thank you anxiety. and thank you Dennis. blessings my friend. thank you for helping create a Warrior.

    Oh, the no distraction thing. I've known for months I should apply that. I feel how distraction eventually just feeds the anxiety, and the guilt of not doing something grounding. There is a fine line between distraction and avoidance. It is so contradictory to cling on to distraction, feeling i will drown in anxiety if I dont. And yet the anxiety actually building up. Kind of an addiction thing.

      Complaining is litterally letting your emotions out. If you stop yourself from complaining every once in a while it will drive you insane. Its a natural thing. Doesn’t mean you’re ungrateful. I have alot to be grateful for, but that doesn’t mean dealing with chronic overthinking, daily anxiety and autism spectrum disorder is easy and not exhausting. I mean you do you tho. If this works for you more power to you but just know there’s nothing wrong with complaining once you’re overwhelmed.

    • @jimbossii
      @jimbossii 5 месяцев назад

      @@yacobeinauan9533 I disagree i don't think complaining is "letting your emotions out". Complaining is acting based on your emotions instead of rationally thinking oh maybe i dont have to or shouldn't complain because it adds no value.

    This video describes exactly how my anxiety unfolds every day. The tiredness, but still frantically running around, thriving for perfection. But baby steps into the right direction, staying positive and taking deep breaths more often. Thank you so much Denis. Your channel is so helpful. I watch every video a dozen times and I have saved them all. Thank you and bless your amazing work and dedication.

    I’m going to be open and vulnerable right now… I’ll never forget that night at like 3 in the morning, not being able to sleep… and I went ahead and turned on a video that finally clicked…
    I cried just letting go, being honest with myself, loving that part of me that kept me in fear, understanding it… taking a step back and being able to take a larger perspective on it, a loving understanding perspective, it was huge…
    And I’ll never forget you responded back to me when I had that break through… I wish I had money to give because I’ve said how great you are plenty of times over and over again… your helping people, and that’s such a great thing… sending love right back… stay blessed

    Another video that is spot on for me. Thank you! I am wondering if you could do a video that covers anxiety that pops up in bed as soon as consciousness comes over me. Maybe include physical things we can include like a weighted blanket (my new favorite safety feeling) and I put a pillow along each side of me to make me feel cuddled. Curious if you have other things. I do meditation and breathing videos. They help. Do gratitudes. All this before I get out of bed. But some mornings it’s worse and these things don’t work as well. I have so many mixed emotions that I'm feeling right now and I don't know if it was from watching your video or from the anxiety and overwhelmed feeling that I had before finding your video.
    I have exams tomorrow and I hadn't studied yet. I feel so disconnected from it. But at the same time, I feel so jittery about the stacked schoolwork that I have. I feel so ashamed and guilty. But at the same time, the reason I wasn't able to finish them on time was because I was so distracted. There's so much going through my mind that I can't focus. And this feeling of dread that my body badly wants to escape. I had past trauma about school stuff and I just recently started going back to university and it wasn't as bad as before and I'm currently managing my social anxiety but I never thought it would affect my school performance too. And this dread, the only way I will feel better again is to indulge in social media as another distraction to my feelings. I hate feeling overwhelmed. It reminds me of the past. So I tend to ignore everything or squash everything down. But when I'm finally okay to do something I feel so tired that I can't even start one thing. And staying up all night to catch up makes me feel more tired.
    It's so hard to open up when hearing and seeing everything in my head, I could only think that it's my fault.

    Great video, A month ago, my five-year relationship came to an end. I really can't stop thinking about the love of my life, who made the decision to leave me. I've done everything in my power to win him back, but it's all in vain, and I can't imagine my life with anyone else. I genuinely miss him and just can't stop thinking about him, even though I've tried my hardest to stop thinking about him. I'm not sure why I'm saying this here.

    I had one of the weirdest and annoying symptoms of anxiety last night. I've only ever had it once before.
    so, I'm in bed trying to sleep, and my head has this "filled" feeling. the a feeling of fullness in my head full of noise and fuzzyness, it's SO hard to explain, I couldn't see/hear anything. it's just this full-of-noise head feeling. and it's annoying, it doesn't hurt like a headache and is mildly scary because you don't know how much more intense it will get.
    so yeah I found it hard to get to sleep, in the end I sort of beat it from a previous trick it did, and that was to listen to one of those "Binaural Beat" videos on ear buds until I drifted to sleep. bit of a life saver that, had work the next day so really need to get to sleep.

It so blew up my cns and I've had a very very difficult time regulating since, despite doing the work. I'm now left feeling kind I have a brain injury of sorts. At your worst, would you have described feeling like you have a concussion? The overwhelm when even trying to think is huge. I really don't know how to navigate this.

    Is there a connection between anxiety and boredom? I try various things to feel better like getting endorphins up with exercise, etc. But then when I go to do it again the next day I have no interest in it. I have to keep finding new things to work on/with. I was never like this before.

      I started with dizziness and rocking 2 1/2 yrs ago. I had to stop working, move into an apartment with my elderly Mother. I have this 24/7, wake up every day with panic, can't breathe and exhausted. Long history of abuse and trauma. I spend hours every day meditating just trying to get through the day.

    Hey brother. Is body zaps like an electric jolt sensation thru my body part of anxiety. And also what about my nerves feeling like they are numb or burning sort of like neuropathy but it comes and goes. Its rlly Scaring me that i have something else going on!

    • @TheAnxietyGuy1
      @TheAnxietyGuy1  5 месяцев назад +2

      It shouldn’t scare you, but excite you, since these zaps and trembles have everything to do with releasing stored trauma that’s been locked in the body for years.

      Because you haven't gotten to an emotional level of forgiveness necessary to convince your subconscious mind that it can now release the grudge it's been holding for years. Mentally, it won't change much, but emotionally it will. Use my reframing and surrender sessions for deeper work.

    I stopped playing a game on my tablet & phone yesterday. I don't do negative TV & put my ear buds in our leave the room when mom watches the news, soap operas or any unhealthy shows. I am back to paying attention to the music I listen to as well, even though I don't usually listen to much at all for this reason.
    I relate to all you have shared Dennis & I do hear you & appreciate your helpful insight always. 🤍🙏🤍

      Yes, chest pain is really common with anxiety and it's very likely the cause statistically, but it never hurts to get it checked.

      @jordangrice3565 I have. My mom moved away when I was 18. That happened, then palpitations that threw me in to my first panicking attack at 18 bcuz I thought something was wrong with me. My heart was checked numerous times & is fine. It was directly connected to my heart ache from mom moving away. I was scared & alone for the first time I'm my life. I felt abandoned & wanted her near me. I hope this helps some 🙏 It will help ease your heart & mind to just get it checked to be sure. Much love & blessings to you 💛🙏💛
