I love watching your methods, and your attention to detail.. thank you for your hard work and dedication to making idiots like me smarter and more skilled
Are you not going to finish the build? I am looking forward to more!! I am expecting the delivery of my model in the next couple of days. Hope all is well.
2:35 My painting skills are sorely lacking, so I'm wondering if there is a reason why all your brush strokes were in the same direction, instead of back and forth. 5:10 Smart idea those clips. See you in part 4 Jim 👍
Jim just moved to kumphawapi and love your video So where is the best place to buy models My closet large centre is udon thani Look forward to hearing from yoi soon Thanks Dennis sells
I have a few unbuilt wooden ship models. I purchased this kit specifically because of your videos. More please. My kit hasn't arrived yet. Looking forward to getting it. Do you recommend any other inexpensive kits?
I have three other kits on order, so I will review them when they arrive. Here in Thailand international mail is taking up to 72 days 🤬 because of virus.

I did t see you put glue on it before using the alligator clips. Did you glue it? I missed it but I’m assuming so and that’s why you need the alligator clips?

I'm still learning from some of the master modellers.
Outstanding video and presentation.
Thanks
On to the next video! I didn’t paint mine until I had the planking on. Oh well, live and learn! Thanks for sharing! Happy days and model on! 😎
Waiting for my kit to show up so I can follow along. Thanks for doing this series. It will help me build confidence for bigger kits.
That's why I'm doing this series, allowing people to get a taste of model building without spending big bucks.
@@cjstein2000 Quick question, when did you finish gluing the rest of the bulkheads?
@@jerryc8963 just before I painted it. Used white glue.
Thought the rooster was in my neighborhood😀
Looking good!
If it was up to me .. that rooster in the background would end up in the BBQ

@@cjstein2000 I am looking forward to more videos from you Jim!
Did you skip over making that handy rig to hold the model by the keel? That is awesome. Edit: Nevermind sir. Video 7
Giddy Jim, where did you apply the glue. And why not glue up before laying the deck down ? Thanks .

Ron good morning I'm trying to keep the air bubbles out
Enjoying this series Jim, thanks for taking the time to show us. The keel clamping/build board looks interesting is it your own design?
No pinched the idea from someone years ago. I have a number of supports depending on the size of the model and what position I need to work.

I use PVA glue and the clamping helps the glue.
U applied the glue but u didnt show us where u put the glue, underneath?
Didn't realize I missed that. I applied PVA glue on the underside of the deck along the bulkheads.
