THIS STORY:
George Parrott, also known as "Big Nose George", "Big Beak Parrott", "George Manuse", and "George Warden", was a cattle rustler and highwayman in the American Wild West in the late 19th century.
His skin was made into a pair of shoes after his lynching and part of his skull was used as an ashtray.
THIS CHANNEL:
_________________________________________________________
The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...
This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.
Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.
#graves #cemeteries #death
One of your best yet! I do love these historical stories and museum dives! So great! You just get better and better! Much love , Ron, get better!
❤Thanks so much for coming to Wyoming! I can’t wait to hear you tell George’s crazy story!
What a wild story! That museum is amazing too. That skull ... the shoes ... the death mask, Wow! What a way to bring this story to life. That jailers wife is the real hero here. You'd never see that kind of treatment today of any deceased prisoner. You know how that goes. They have rights. Only the victims are the ones who never seem to have any rights. I guess some things were better in those days. Ron, this story was phenomenal!! You just out did yourself once again. Thank you to the fellows at the museum who allowed you access to such treasures!
I had read the story of Big Nose but to see those shoes and his skull up close was interesting. That is quite a story. I wonder what became of his parents and any siblings? It does sound like he is much more interesting in death than he ever was in life. What a wasted life he had but it does make for an unusual story. Thanks Ron and also thanks to the museum guys for sharing whats left of George with us! Take care of yourself, Ron. When I get a cold, I have to sleep it off and now that I am retired, I can take some Nyquil and sleep away for about 3 full days and nights!! 😊
Wow, big nose wasn’t a nice human being, but in truth I think those doctors weren’t much better, their behaviour was disgusting. The lady doctor wasn’t much better either.
Well, from what we saw in the museum, they weren’t just joking when they called him “Big Nose George “ Kind of reminds me of Klinger from M*A*S*H* Sounds like Dr. Osborn could’ve gotten a Section 8! Instead of wearing women’s clothes, he wore human skin.
Qué historia! Realmente macabra! No cabe duda que odiaban a George, no me imagino usar algo con piel humana,es demasiado. Saludos señor Ron, cuídese mucho y que se mejore pronto.
😜😂 My grandfather was a Parrott, I'm actually related to him. There's also Parrotville Tenn. Not all the family was bad. ❤❤❤ THANK YOU for covering him. My aunt just moved back from there actually 😊 or at least we are according to my mother's side. Rumors has it also a soup 🍲 bowl
yea of course he was your uncle. Imagine being 49 years old 🤪😳 posting emojis 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
Trying to be famous to i see huh? You're gonna be a mr beast by next year with your whopping 10 subscribers lol . Then trying to use "a stroke" for leverage and sympathy lmao you may be a parrot, "by resembling one" but this is the only parrot that's going to be remembered
Oh no 🙈 I have one going on my Sytemic Lupus giving me fits! But I am lucky 🍀 be alive only the strong survive Ron🫶🏻🤗😉😉
If they allow one of the teeth to be taken they may be able to extract DNA
I thought the same thing...🤔
Oh my yes ❤️ This is a really interesting story ❤️ Thank you for sharing this with us and I wish to thank the guys for allowing you to take us right in the museum with them. This is very interesting and I appreciate you, Ron and the owners for taking us on an amazing tour. Bless you richly today and always ❤️
Looking forward to seeing the video tonight ❤❤
Awe , a bunny
4:25 Had to do a rewind. Thought something wierd was afoot, but it was only cottontail.
Hi Ron and Everyone. I'm waiting for another great story to begin. Thank you Ron for all you do. I would never get to see or go on any walk abouts or Live chats without you. Thank you and stay safe 👍
I know that George Parrott was a bad dude, but holy smoke nobody's body deserves what happened to him.
right? totally agree.
Yeah. Heck. Isn't death enough??!
Its beyond me as to how how someone would even want to wear those shoes or use the skull cap to keep things in…It’s so morbid.
@@27kjh it was a different time....
Turn his gun arm into a riding quirt hah that'd be some medicine right there
Legend has it that Parrott's last words were "Polly want a cracker?"
I can't imagine wearing a dead man's skin. I can't imagine going to a doctor who wears a dead man's skin. I guess the folks who lived there didn't have much choice, though. But ugh! It takes a really twisted mind to do something like that. Thank you so much for the museum tour, Ron! That fire engine was huge! The firefighters must have been exhausted by the time they got to the fire, with all the wheels and sirens to operate! They do have some rare items. This was great!
Wouldn’t the mask of him have the DNA from his head doing the mold ?
Oh, somebody's in Wyoming. Awesome story, can't wait to hear you tell it!
Certainly no compliments to the doctor or the nurse. But beyond creepy.
Another intriguing and fascinating story, Ron! Really digging these stories from the 19th century that you've been producing. Wild West...Old West...Go West young man! Ha! Cheers!
If you ever decide to drive to Arizona via I-80, and I-15 to Las Vegas, visit the Mormon Pioneer Cemetery in St George Utah. Veterans of the Mexican war are buried there as well as many foreign-born Mormons born in the 18th century. Also, a side trip to Primm NV on the California-Nevada border on I-15 will bring you to Whiskey Petes Casino. Named after a "desert Rat' who died in the 1930s, Whiskey Pete McIntyre. When he passed away his grave was lost, only to be found during the construction of the casino. He now lies buried under a massive neon sign. He was a fascinating character, worthy of one of your episodes.
Amazing show today Ron. Big Nose George Parrot's Skull. If that doesn't give you goosebumps. Thank you again.🇬🇧♥️🌹👍
Whou! I know he was a criminal, but what they did to him after is …is my opinion…just as criminal and sick!
I just watched this and I thought it was amazing! Thank you so much! Please get better soon and keep them coming. This is the best channel on RUclips!❤
Congratulations on 300k subs Ron
Wow, Ron, these videos are more impressive each week, full of history, and a museum too!!
Thanks for sharing a piece of history with us!!👍🏻👏👏👏
Thanks keep up the good content, watching from London UK ❤
That LaFrance Fire Truck is known as a Tiller and they are still made and used to this day by large fire Departments.
Did you know that there is a Carbon County in Pennsylvania.
People were weird back then too! Sick! But definitely fascinating!
I may watch you tomorrow I’m super super tired. May turn in early. Thank you Ron I love your videos
So cool. . however, the shoes made from human skin are creepy
Thank you
ya think??? 😃
@@FacesoftheForgotten definitely creepy...I do appreciate you sharing the museums too ..I have not been able to travel the last few years...I enjoy your videos
Thank you so much
Good Afternoon Dear Ron and all the gang! Looking forward to a great video this evening can't wait! Have a bless Sunday dear Ron and all your family!❤️🙏👏👏
I thoroughly enjoy your channel. You are an incredible story teller!
You cover the most interesting stuff 😊😊😊
This was amazing! So creepy to have his actual remains...that freaked me out and makes it all too real! Hope you're feeing better Ron!!!
What's sad in my opinion is that so many today aren't choosing to be buried which makes it much more likely they'll be forever forgotten to history.
Not that the guy deserved any respect, but, that was a bit much in desecration of a body..especially for supposedly civilized people..
Interesting story and good museum but the people who are supposed to be the good guys are worse than the typical bank robber of the time. Plain sick!! Making shoes out of his skin and wearing them. That’s sick. All they did to him was sick. These days they world be charged for abuse of a corp
indeed
Great video! Absolutely loved it! ♥️✨
20000 reward thats unheard of. thats equal to 685000. even jphn wes;ey and bill Longley never got over 5000
Ron, thank you for continuing to share these stories! You’re looking and sounding great lately and you’re doing a great service to the world by continuing to share history so don’t stop documenting. Peace and love to you!

History, of course, but the visit to museums is so exciting for me, museums are the absolute bomb and you do a great job. ❤
See you tonight 😊
Another great story from Ron. I thought this was a pretty cemetery and a fun Museum. 😮 Hope you feel better soon.
I love museums like this! I'd be in there all day! Big nose was way more useful in death than life.
Thats awesome! Great video! Almost like going back in time and really being there. ❤ to all.
That was a great museum...
And really creepy what they did to him..😊
Ron ..i never tire of your stories and go to the playlist every nite and ive watched almost every story and sometimes watch them twice...
Great story teller..
Thanks Ron..😊
Feel better soon. Ron drink plenty of Vitamin C and wonderful video .
thanks, that was shot a month ago. I am fine now.
The old west folks had an odd sense of justice, given that mysticism was big at the time, you think they'd be afraid that his ghost would haunt them for keeping parts of him.
Greetings from Malta 🇲🇹 Europe Ron and friends.
Hello FOTF!!! HI RON! THANKS FOR THE SUNDAY STORY AS ALWAYS!!!!
Never get into the crime business if you have any distinguishing identifiable characteristics. You know, like a huge honking nose for starters.
I'm ready! Yay!
I wish I could join the live. I look forward to watching soon after.
The cemetery by me I live in country deer are often seen there racoons also 🤣
This was awesome Ron! Interesting to learn about Parrot 🦜 nose. Wow, he was a bad guy. But also the doctor that wore the shoes made of Parrot nose’s skin?! 😮Yikes! I was impressed with Rosa Rankin in getting Parrot nose back in that jail cell! 🤠👏🏻👏🏻 and the museum is awesome too! Some very cool stuff in there. Especially that Native American headdress. It’s beautiful! The curator guys were awesome too! Very knowledgeable. I will check out there channels. Great job!!! ❤️🙌🏻🤠👏🏻👏🏻
Very interesting video, brother. Thanks for sharing!
👍 great story, do you know what tribe the indigenous headress was worn by?
I do not, probably Shoshone. Tom might know.
Well that was very interesting !!!
He must have been a strange looking character!!!
And very strange what they did with his skin !!!
Thanks for sharing!!!!
See everyone tonight, cloths are optional
It would much cooler in this heat that way!! 😂😂
Lol!!
Or as Aunty Jack would say “Be there or I’ll rip yer bloody arms off.”
(Sorry Durwood, but you remind me so much of Aunty Jack lol.). 🖖
Me too
Best comment I've seen all day 😂

Wow Tom cool😮oh lovely deer....deer and cemeteries 😊they love chilling out don't they😅
I keep saying no Ron, not ready !!
Well I usually can handle gory things, but the skin shoes got me nauseous, and the the skull… I love gory things, i’m getting older..😂
Wow, this was an awesome video! Love when you go to a museum and show us artifacts related to the story. What a great museum! Thanks guys for showing Ron and us such awesome artifacts.
Here we go!!!!
Hi Ron there no story told that bring me lots of joy since l love historical topic I love it❤ Ron not just the story but you tell it
I realize this man wasn't exactly a saint, but I find your presentation of him somewhat dehumanizing. The doctors in my opinion were the true ghouls, from the moment they got their foul hands on him , how they handled his body , what they did with his body: skinning him, making a pair of shoes out of his skin and wearing them(and a medical bag) ,cutting him to pieces, dumping his remains in a barrel and burying the poor butchered man in so disrespectful a way! The woman doctor glibly using the top of his skull as an ashtray, pen holder and door stop! I can't believe you left a yellow rose at her grave. She was undeserving of this kind and respectful gesture. Sorry, I normally like your content, but this particular video really left a bad taste in my mouth.
I went to high school with a girl that also had a parrot nose and her last name oddly enough, was Parrot. Crazy
Hey Ron sorry to hear you are not feeling to good but as usual you managed to pull one out of the bag hope your feeling better soon my friend take care ❤
Excellent historic fire truck....we all need that bath😂
Awesome! Thank you, professor! Get well soon, Ron. !
I’ve got no problem with how ol’ Georgie Boy met his demise after killing the two lawmen. He got a taste of the fear Ofc. Vincent would’ve felt trying to get away and being hunted down like a dog.
Miles City was the ," town " Augustas died in Lonesome Dove .
Hey Ron don't forget about the story on Rosa Carmichael.
I notice people are squeemish about human skin being worn, but don't care about the fact that millions of animals are made into leather shoes every day
Wow super cool Ron and the guys love the museum tour along with the gravesite. The scull of george “the nose” bone😮 wow never seen anything like it.🦜 So interesting love the history🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️💐
this is proof that it pays to be an outlaw. You will be glorified and remembered forever. proof is in the story because no one cares about who the minister or school teachers were during the time and no one even cares to this day who any of them have been but everyone knows George and his stories. Moral of the story : If you want to be remembered do things against and wrong that affect normal society. "Outlaw Life Forever"
Brilliant and fascinating as usual thankyou Ron
That is really creepy! No wonder George was caught - it would be hard to hide with a nose like that!
Thank you for another AMAZING story 😊
Great video Ron!
Hope you feel better soon. Take care of yourself.
I am, ty, that was shot a month ago.
Another great and interesting episode he really did have a huge nose😊 👍thanks Ron and please look after your self 🌟
What a story, wow. Macabre was the perfect word for the aftermath of parrot nose! It was so cool that the curators showed the artifacts- seeing the skull and shoes and death mask was mind blowing! Thank-you Ron for a great visit and segment, fascinating!!💙
That was an interesting story. Thank you so much for sharing.
I love museums. If I ever get to Rawlins, I'll have to check that one out. Thanks Ron.
Awesome stuff…I love history. Hope you get better soon Ron
all good now, this was shot a month ago, thanks 👍😃
His nose It's any as unique or different from most big nose.
Hey Ron! I have been binge watching to catch up with you! Whew, I finally made it; a long walk but worth every step. Love your videos, especially some of the openings and, particularly, the music! Thanks for letting me in the gang and going along on your adventures, I have enjoyed it and look forward to more! Good to see you out here in the Wild West. Tonight's story was sorta' creepy, however, interesting!
What a great video Ron. I loved this video from the beginning to the end! So cool looking at that skull with the top carved off. Amazing video and story! Thanks for sharing Ron. Great story, as are all your stories my friend! Feel better soon.
..
What a fascinating story, and thank you to the museum for allowing us to see all the fascinating artifacts!
