Giles Corey refused to say anything because the law back then was if he didn't confess, they couldn't hang him, the only thing he would say was more weight. I did my college theses on witchcraft, another interesting place to visit is where The John Bell Witch, it's located at 430 Keysburg Rd, Adams, Tenn 37010
In England, those accused of witchcraft would never be buried on hallowed ground. They would be buried at forks in the road or on the boundary edge just outside the church. Back in the 1980s, my father was digging out an old well behind the village of Tincleton's churchyard (Dorset) when they unearthed a woman's skeletal remains. It is thought that she most likely was accused of witchcraft and hence was interned just outside the church's grounds.
Indeed, Ron, you have done it again! I just love how you include detailed back stories to your cemetery visits. There are a lot of people on RUclips that visit cemeteries and they are decent enough, but they don’t include the depth of details about the subjects that you do! Ok, I may be wrong about this, but I thought that until about the middle of the 20th century, suicides were not allowed to be buried in “hallowed “ ground; so how is it that an out and out male witch was still allowed to be buried in the cemetery? I find that very confusing. On another note, I’m New England, there was supposedly a young woman who was a vampire and her name was Nellie Vaughan!! This happened a bit before our male witch came into the world. There’s an interesting book I think you might enjoy, it’s called Food for the Dead by Michael Bell. It is nonfiction!
Creeeeepy! You outdid yourself on this one Ron! The north to south gravestone and excrement gave me goosebumps. If you meant to scare me...you succeeded! Lol
I was taught years ago by my grandfather that both foxes and raccoons will poo on rocks to mark their territory. Both animals are creatures of habit and to see them keep using the same spot for poo is typical behavior for them. They do this so other animals will notice their poos. I have seen this sort of thing in rural cemeteries myself. it is interesting that if this man was indeed a practitioner of witchcraft, that they allowed him to be buried inside the cemetery. In those days, typically the grave of such a person would be located outside the fence, because a Christian cemetery was considered to be hallowed ground, and nobody "unclean" was allowed to be buried inside. Great video, as always.

Could be, probably, but maybe not…
I believe the man burned by the terrorist was a captured Jordanian pilot. It was a horrific video. Needless to say Jordan did retaliate.
Food for the Dead, sounds interesting thanks
We live in Wales not far from Anglesey, we’re working on civil war in history. Now we will use John Jones and do a PowerPoint slide on him. Thank you.
Wow!!! Did those people that were torturing others really think that they were any better?
Yeah just shows how fcked up humanity actaully is.
