Since I found Hiromi’s music, I identified in her a creative spirit (with that of Zen). After listening perhaps 20 hours of her play in the past 2-3 weeks, I found this interview confirming my intuitive sense. I’m at age 75. So I may not listen to her playing at her age at 90 years. Yet it is from the heart that is so critical. (I have published a book called: Results from the heart). May all beings be happy. ❤
Good question at around 22:00, and good answer. I was hoping such a question would be asked. Hiromi, I have been listening to Jazz and Fusion music since the 1970s, have heard a lot of keyboard players, and have never heard anyone who sounds like you. I have really enjoyed listening to your music!

Listening to Hiromi speak of her craft is kind of like hearing Neil deGrasse Tyson speak of his love and understanding of physics, and the cosmos! And while Hiromi can speak of music way above our heads, as can Neil, her incredible understanding makes it so much easier to explain her love for what she does, and why she does it. Hiromi is simply astounding. Thank You!

Hromi is great talent mixed with great character. Watch and learn and give your children the same and they will flourish and smile and do great things just like her
Most of the interviewer's questions were pretty random and stupid. Hiromi is always interesting to hear, but I wish the guy asked more questions from the perspective of a musician and not an imbecile.
