Jon Bernthal is a legitimate badass. The reason why his Shane and his Punisher were so good and so believable, is because he's pulling from his real life experiences. He came dangerously close to murdering a man and spending the rest of his life behind bars. Then a month later he was cast in the Walking Dead, and his life changed forever. He's done a complete 180. So don't let the nice guy voice fool you. He's a dark dude with a dark past, and he can flip it like a switch.
he was introduced as a villain in DD. than his motivation came clear and he became the anti hero he is. of course everybody knew it before because it's a comic book adaptation and they stick to the comic

I think it's commendable he doesn't just rely on getting in character on set only. He goes the extra mile by preparing ahead of time, which shows true passion.
He was amazing as punisher in daredevil. Some of his lines with Charlie Cox were absolutely amazing - some of the best intense dialogue scenes ever. Great to see him in this interview - he has a lot of range - would love to see him in a variety of roles.

This dude is amazing in Daredevil. His scenes with Charlie Cox are some of the best drama that you will see in anything comic book related on tv or on the big screen.
He’s a brilliant character actor, and, like the guy who plays Bryce on 13 Reasons Why, it’s super weird to see him out of character and being a genuinely nice guy. The best villains are often played by the most humble actors.

I have not not watched the punisher or the walking dead, but I just recently watched a few movies with him in them. I really think he is an awesome and terrific actor. If you guys haven't watched, I suggest shot caller, wind river, the accountant.
His performance as the punisher was supernatural,,,,,the way he talks,the way he walks ,the way he is broken from inside ,the way he talks when he was angry ,that scheme was extra ordinary,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,no other in the planet can replace him as punisher,he is a king for a Reason
