    Idea Generation thank you for once again reigniting my flame! It’s been a very challenging year for me where I had to put everything music on pause to focus on my health. At my lowest moments a new inspiring and educational interview comes from you guys and it helps me more than you know. I hope I can meet you NCB and thank you for keeping my spark ignited. Good energy and positivity to all!

    Dante is responsible for bringing us some of the greatest hip-hop of all time. From De La Soul and Queen Latifah to Brand Nubian and KMD; from Del The Funky Homosapien and KMD to Pete Rock & CL Smooth and Everlast, to so many others... He was there with the Beasties at the beginning, and has helped shepherd DOOM's estate in the afterlife. We all owe him some flowers and some gratitude. And I personally do, as well, for mentoring me early in my career and teaching me how records really get made. This conversation was a joy to have, and hopefully will whet your appetite to check out his fantastic autobiography, Son of The City.

    I love Dante Ross, I’m big fan of literally all of the acts that he’s signed or worked with from De La Soul, KMD (*MF Doom) , Leaders of the New School, Queen Latifah, Brand Nubian, Pete Rock and CL Smooth. And I also loved the production work that he did with the Stimulated Dummies, I always looked forward to hearing those remixes.

    Thank You, finally got an explanation as to where his soulfulness and love for Black Consciousness came from. Big Fan of Dante Ross and his work!!!

    • @CarsonRunnells-pr8nr
      @CarsonRunnells-pr8nr Год назад

      You said black consciousness. A term being washed out with cheap clothing and handouts. The break down of the black family kills knowledge of self. Lack of knowledge leads to believing lies. Believing lies leads to self hate. One cant love others when they hate themselves. Reach one teach one. Can we Imagine if the mind frame back then was no whites allowed? Can we Imagine what hip hop would be if
      it ( non hip hop) promoted drugs and Baby mommas and violence and racial hate back then as it does now. To me this is a prime example of when man has good intentions but relays on his own abilities and removes god. A good movement gif the people that unites all as one becomes a hood movement that glorifies the gun.
      The difference in whites that get involved because they love their black brothers and sisters and liberals that infiltrate to segregate snd de-educate snd promote abortion and handouts. They couldn’t even create the same love and art today these guys are talking about. The love of money snd selfish ambition has caused even some of the greats to lead younger people astray. Peace to all real MCs and DJs that seek to elevate.

      For the reel hedz this is trunk jewelz. True live art and culture.
      Real Hip hop never ceases to teach me, elevate me snd break me further away from the hate the masses push. Since 85 I been on one. Hip hop never dies. Long as we expose the lies and promote love.

      lol whenever they do them in these live venues, it probably sounds good in the room but just don’t translate to this medium. I remember when Lord Jamar did his -podcast- Godcast in a place like this with a small audience, it was basically unlistenable on RUclips 😂
